One

I don't remember much of my childhood. I don't remember my mother or father and the place I was born. The first thing I remember is being taken away from a garden decorated in vines and flowers I still don't know the name of, they were small and white complementing the white exterior of what I think was my home. I remember hands tight around my tiny body, I was slumped over a slave traders shoulder. But I wouldn't know who they were until the sight of the door faded away. My home was nonexistent in less than a minute.

And so I was carried to the slave ship that would take me to what people call 'Donescrav'. It was a place covered in sand for miles. Barley any trees. I don't fully recall how it looked like. I didn't spend much time there after all. After I had been on the ship for what felt like an eternity I was brought to Donescrav and sold for the little price of 10 pieces of silver. Something Emanuel took pleasure in reminding me. I was there for ten years, a long time considering all the friend I had lost. I was lucky to be alive when Ennon and his wife Drow rescued me from that awful place. And they adopted me into their care.

Ever since then I've been living with Ennon, Drow, and their son Ennon. In Lonrev firstborn sons are given the name of their father. Now I know you're asking, 'Isaac how did you get your name'? I didn't know my father but in Donescrav I meet a man by the name of Isaac. He was the bravest person I know. I saw him as a father figure. That's why when Ennon walked up to me while I was hiding under my bed and asked what my name was. I said, Isaac.

Ennon picked me up and took me to what I call my home. There I was introduced to the culture of Lonrev, the gods who held the power of everyone living on these lands. I also learned of the Gift. It is bestowed upon people who the gods deem worthy. the Gift can be given to anyone no matter status, or where they are from. No one knows if they are given the Gift until their tenth birthday. No one knows what their Gift will be. Not all reveal if they have the Gift for the fear of a jealous noble is always present. All I know is that I have the Gift, although I never knew until I was let out into the world and out of the lifeless dungeon. I have the Gift of nature. Animals, Plants, the ocean, earth, air, and fire. Anything not man-made. Only my adoptive parents know. At least I hope so.

When I arrived at my new home I was welcomed with warm arms. Ennon and Drow were rich merchants and traded with all of Lonrev. My home would be in Elna, the capital, and after some time of growing up in my new home, I would be able to accompany my new best friends Ennon, the son, to different towns all over the Empire. As I grew up I was taught to fight by the mercenary group my adoptive father and hired and Drow taught me the arts of love and hidden work.

I was brought to my new home at the age of 16 and when I turned 18 is when my life really started to begin.
