12 Meeting the family

I looked at the scenery through the window as we passed them . Ryder and I are going to his pack along with Alpha Ashton and Lucy.

Ryder's parents along with my mate's parents have returned from the Alliance pack and currently are at Knight pack.

There is a family gathering and as me and Lucy are the mates of their sons we have to go too. I don't know if Ryder's parents are aware about prophecy. Ryder got to know about prophecy from Alpha Ashton after he found out Lucy being his mate .

I called my mom asking when she would return. I missed her so much but she said though the situation is

under control still she is needed there. I can't insist her to leave her job just because I am being a baby and miss her terribly.

However after my small 'talk' with Lucy which completely pissed me off , she came to appologize to me. I also don't want to hold grudges against her

because it will only corrupt my mind with bad intentions . So things between us is normal where as the whole situation is anything but "normal".

The pack members don't know anything about the prophecy except My mate`s parents. It was kept constant to protect the unborn blessed elemental from evil wolves as they can harm the gifted baby in the want of power. Even rest of their families are unknown to this.

So what's important is now we have to be with our original mates instead of leaving them as long as we are here. So here we are heading to our

destination "together". This word 'together' makes me scoff. There was a time when I was in love with this word thinking this word describes my

future with my mate , me , him and my happily ever after . But it turned out anything but that.

Ryder is so happy with the arrangement where as other three of us are super uncomfortable. When I asked why is he happy he said ,"Its time for the tea

to be poured in the cup they belong" and then pinched my cheek when I stared at him confused. This guy never talks or does normal things.

You may be thinking why No one objected to this idea. It is because the life of the unborn gifted child depends on our actions. No matter how bad we

are or whose child will that be ,We can't risk the life of an innocent one due to the mess made by us.

Ryder's territory is very beautiful. Unlike ours which is classy it seems more cozy and homy. If you understand what I mean.

Soon the car came to a stop in front of a big mansion. This is their Alpha I mean Ryder's house I guess. Taking deep breaths I prepare myself for the

whole new arrangements.

I got out of the car followed by rest of us.

As we entered the house we were welcomed by bone-crushing hugs from the family members.

Wow. There are a lot of people . Among which six are of our age. Ryder and my mate introduced them .

I came to know the name of the girls are

Mia,Ella and Lila where as the boys are Warren,Zander and Jared. Mia,Zander and Jared are siblings where as Lila and warren are siblings. Ella is

the sister of Ryder. Ella is Warren`s mate and Lima is Zander`s mate. Mia`s mate is at the alliance pack now as he is a doctor.

Jared is 17 and hasn't found a mate yet.

All those relation details made me confused and I am pretty sure I don't remember half of it now.

I felt someone tugging my hand and I looked down to see a cute boy and girl looking at me with doe-eyes. They seem like twins. I knelt down

noticing others have already left.

"Are you Ashown`s mate?"the girl asked and I giggled hearing her saying the name.

"Yes,you can call me Ely sweetie. What's your name?"I asked cooing both of them.

"My name is Jay and this is my sister Angel." The boy answered and he seems more matured than his age.

They both hugged me and I hugged them back. I started to tickle them and they giggled. When we stopped we turned around to see Alpha Ashton

looking at us with adoration in his eyes. The twins ran to him dragging me along with them.

"Look Ashown,we met Ely."Angel said hugging his legs.

He laughed at this and picked the twins.

"That's great ,now come on ! Mommy is looking for both of you." he said motioning me to come to the living room.

"Everyone, this is my mate Ely." Alpha Ashton introduced me to the whole family. This made me feel a giddy feeling inside. I smiled at them .Then

everyone came to greet me. I met the twin's parents Katy and Rupert, followed Mia's parents Chloe and Dylan , Ryder's parents and lastly my mate's

parents.

They hugged me so tightly and my luna kissed my forehead.

Then the whole family got engaged in the gossip. The youngsters are quite friendly and I bonded with them in such a little time very well. We talked about

our schools while the elders talked about pack bussiness.

As I was talking with them something got my attention.

"Is that a gibson guitar ? Wow. "I said to Mia. Zander brought it to me.

Wait,why did he bring it to me?

I looked around to see everyone giving me puppy eyes except my mate of course.

"Please sing for us Ely." They yelled in unison.

My protest went in vain. Sighing I started singing "you belong to me" by Taylor swift.

Funny how the song Describes a tiny bit of my life.

As I finished the song everyone clapped . I looked at my mate's eyes to see it filled with pride? It left as soon as it came. May be I am imagining things.

I playfully bowed and everyone laughed. Chloe called us for dinner and we headed towards dining table to fill our empty stomach.
