After announcing the things she would change, the citizens all clapped their hands in happiness. If Kira really do what she just said, all of these people will benefit from it

The sound generated by thousands of pairs of hands resounded in the whole area and Kira gave them a gentle smile. As long as she is the Queen, she won't let the normal people suffer

More formalities happened in the Ceremony like the Nobles swearing their fealty to the crown and how they will help the new Queen help the Kingdom prosper

Unlike the sincere tone that Kira uses, the Nobles' words feel too hypocritical and they earned lesser claps than the Queen

Suddenly, when one of the Nobles was giving his speech, a strong aura descended down. When they looked above them, they saw a group of white horses with wings

The horses all look majestic and elegant. Not a speck of dust can be seen on their bodies as if dirt itself is afraid of tainting them

"A pegasus!" Some of the citizens exclaimed in shock. This is the first time for most people to see a live pegasus

The flying mount of Larton Kingdom is the griffins. They are strong but are fierce-looking. They look like they were made for battling and war

As for these pegasuses, they are also strong but aesthetic wise, the griffins' appearance cannot hold a candle over the pegasuses

"We are sorry for our unannounced arrival" A voice boomed before one of the pegasuses descended down not far from Kira and the others

Riding the pegasus was a beautiful man around the same age as Kira. He was wearing all-white robes that almost has the same color as his hair and eyes

"What a surprise for Prince Karl to visit our humble Kingdom" Kira said with a cold tone. The Prince was unbothered to that though

"I deeply apologize for this impoliteness. It's just that, I heard that Princess Kira will be Coronated today and I wished to witness it. I was not able to stop myself from acting impulsively" The Prince answered while feasting his eyes with Kira's beautiful appearance

"Prince Karl, you do know that your actions can cause a war, right? And if I want, I can erase Barton Kingdom's existence in this world" Kira's words were arrogant and venomous. The other Kingdoms knows the current state of Larton Kingdom and they are at their lowest point

The Larton Kingdom loses all their strong enough mage to qualify them to continue being a Kingdom. But now, the new Queen actually said that she can erase a Kingdom's existence, that should be something that is too laughable to hear

However, no Larton's Nobles think of it as laughable. In fact, all of them including the Prince knew that Kira can really do what she just said but with huge consequences

"The Princess knows that the Larton Kingdom would also fall if you use that" The Prince replied and Kira narrowed her eyes

"I know, but that doesn't mean I will let a foreigner enter my lands just like that. And do address me as a Queen. I'm not a princess anymore. Our status is not the same as before"

Cairo watches this exchange and the more he heard, the more he starts worrying for the Kingdom. Cairo already saw on multiple occasions that the Kingdom needs Kira for something but it seems that that 'something' is not a permanent thing. What if the thing was used up or vanishes? What would happen to the Kingdom?

Cairo might not be too knowledgeable now but he still read some things about Kingdoms to know what kind of situation he was in. In the books, he learned that the Nobles being this weak in front of Kira is an abnormality

Nobles are powerful and they should have some say. However, Kira just dismisses them as if they were nothing. And now, another Kingdom's Prince even entered the Larton Kingdom without doing the proper procedures

The Larton Kingdom is not as stable as what most people think and Cairo sensed this. Too bad for him that even after focusing all of his time on cultivation, magic is still a complex thing and he needs a lot of time to become stronger

Cairo was afraid that the Kingdom will fall before he even had enough power to protect himself. Cairo doesn't want that to happen...

"Oh, I apologized. It seems that I was late, 'Queen' Kira" The Prince replied while overemphasizing the word 'Queen'

"What have you come here?" Kira asked coldly as a show. Queens and Princes have a huge difference in status and Kira needs to show that especially in front of her citizens

"My first agenda is to personally watch the Queen's ascension but my Royal Father also gave me a task" The Prince said. Although the Larton Kingdom is shaky, he still knows his limitations

Karl is currently in the middle of a tiger's den, he must show at least some respect

"What is it?" Kira asked impatiently

"Does the Queen still remember the former Larton King's agreement with my Royal Father?" Karl asked and Kira gritted her teeth at that

How can she forget about that? That agreement is what causes her banishment. Her powers and the mages that accompanied her were even sealed in the process. They can only show a fraction of their real strength

If not for the seal, will Kira and her loyal subordinates even have a hard time fighting those bandits?

"Of course, I do but my answer is still the same. If that's all, you can leave, if not, I'll have the right to execute you"

Karl's eyes squinted but he still doesn't have a choice but to go back home if he wants to retain his life. "I hope the Queen knows what the refusal's effects would be" Karl said and Kira just stared at him with unfriendly eyes

The Pegasus Karl is riding in flew higher before he and his guards returned back to their homeland just like that

That scene dampened everyone's mood and Kira announces the end of the ceremony even though there are still some Nobles that haven't given their speeches

Nighttime arrived and an extravagant banquet was held

The venue was in a semi-open place. There was a tall building that only consists of tall pillars and a roof. Large chandeliers hang in the ceiling that gave the place a beige light

Outside the pillars was a garden filled with flower beds. There are chairs and tables arranged both the outside and inside of the pillars

This place is quite a high-end one and only the influential people in the Kingdom was invited

Kira was sitting on a throne while still doing the formalities. She might not like the arrogant Nobles but not all Nobles are the same. There are still kind people with them and Kira did this formal banquet for them

She was busy entertaining the guests and Cairo was left with his guards. The kid just stayed in a corner quietly to be as low-key as possible

Too bad for Cairo that his special position to the Queen's heart is known to the Nobles

"Hi, can I stay with you?" A Noble girl around Cairo's age greeted and the latter just nodded his head at her

The girl was wearing a fierce red dress with a face full of make-up. Her expensive perfume was sprayed too much in her body and Cairo doesn't like its smell

"C-Can I-I dance w-with you?" The girl asked like a shy maiden but Cairo knew that she was just acting. "I don't dance" Cairo simply answered before sipping his juice

Kira was strict on that part and didn't let him drink alcohol even though kids at his age already do it. Kira was afraid that he would be too drunk and the people with ulterior motives will make a move on him

In fact, even without Kira's interference, Cairo still won't drink. He doesn't want alcohol to affect him and his judgment especially now that he learned more of the Kingdom's current state

The Noble was naturally irritated by Cairo's answer but she still tried to make a conversation with him. Too bad for the girl that Cairo will only give a simple answer to everything she would say

Without a choice, the girl walks away. For the Noble, it was already beneath her to talk to a nobody like Cairo. If not for his relationship with the Queen, the girl won't even talk to him

That is something that Cairo knows and is one of the reasons why he doesn't want to interact with people like her

"Young Master, you caused another Noble to fail their parent's orders. My admiration for you grows" Del that was keeping his silence on the side commented as soon as the Noble was gone

"They are not worth my time" Cairo simply answered before looking at Kira's directions to see if this event will be done soon. Cairo is tired of being surrounded by hypocritical people
