The memories stopped playing and Cairo looked at Kira with a new light. Is she his sister from his past life? If yes, then what happened to him and his sister?

From the bits of memories Cairo gained access to, he can see that he lived in a relatively rich family. His sister is even a talented mage, then how did they die?

The old man before also said that he had an interesting past life. If that is really the case, Cairo's curiosity for his past life grew

"Cairo?" Kira asked after the kid turned motionless for a few seconds. Her voice returned Cairo back to reality and he looked at Kira with some renewed fondness in his eyes

She is his sister .... Cairo's parents already died and as a kid, Cairo still yearned for warmth from a family. And he feels that he can get that warmth from Kira

"I want to sleep" Cairo said and the woman looked at her with sad eyes. "Okay"

Kira carried Cairo in her arms effortlessly and the kid immediately felt a wave of fatigue. In no time, Cairo fell asleep from the warmth coming from his 'family'

November 11 Year 30,765

Cairo woke up the next day because of the loud sound coming from the outside. The kid sat on the bed and it took his mind a few moments to register what happened yesterday

Cairo's body jolted in shock and he immediately moved away from the bed to check out what is happening in the town

When Cairo exited the house he was in and raised his head, he saw several large creatures flying in the sky

Most of them were above a certain location and Cairo runs towards the Townsquare

There, he saw Kira and the other mages looking at the town's visitors with dark faces

The largest flying creature above starts descending down and only now did Cairo had the chance to see their features

The large creature has an eagle-like head and wings but its body is of a lion. Just this flying creature alone already took up a large space from the Townsquare

From the griffin's aura and large body size, Cairo is sure that one move from it was already enough to kill him. And that is something that Cairo doesn't like causing his face to have a dark expression on it too

If the griffin wasn't enough, a man wearing silver armor jumped down from it causing some of the sands to be blown away. For this man to ride a griffin, just how powerful is he?

And for him to move with ease while wearing a heavy-looking armor, how strong his physique is?

"Long time no see Princess Kira" The man greeted respectfully while bowing his head. However, Kira's expression doesn't change and she just looks at the man coldly

"Stop acting. Just take me away and leave this town alone or else!" Kira threatened and the man shook his head immediately

"Please don't misunderstand me, Princess Kira. There are a lot of things that happened after you were gone" The man replied while still being very respectful

"Yeah, I'm sure of that" Kira answered sarcastically

The man heaved a deep sigh before deciding to explain some things. "The King already passed away along with the Princes and Dukes"

Kira and the other mages' eyes trembled in shock at hearing the man's words. The King, Princes, and Dukes died, how is that possible? Those people are not some random people that one can easily kill! All of them are powerful mages

"Explain! What do you mean by that?" From Kira's voice, it was easy to notice that she becomes agitated because of the sudden news

"P-Princess, it wasn't appropriate to discuss things here" The man said while looking around the curious Townsmen

As of now, Kira is almost sure that the Larton Kingdom's General is telling her the truth. If not, he wouldn't be this respectful to her. However, she doesn't have the patience to change location as she wants to know the truth as soon as possible

"I don't care! Explain things to me!"

The General can only shake his head helplessly and he was forced to tell the truth in front of so many people

"The late King incurred the wrath of many people because of his ways in governing the Kingdom. As a result, all the Princes and the King's brothers plotted to kill him"

"Their Alliance was successful but .... problems arise as soon as the King died. With the ruler dying, there was a need to replace him and ... P-Princess already knows what that means"

"In the end, the Alliance destroys each other until only the Princess, was left with the purest blood from the Royal Family"

The General explained things as briefly as he can as this news is a 'huge scandal' and he can't tell every single detail in front of these much people

However, even without the General explaining things in a deeper sense, Kira can already imagine how chaotic the Kingdom becomes. She also realizes why this General is this respectful to her

Even though Kira is still far from being the strongest mage in the Kindom, her being the only one that has a pure Royal Blood has some implications

No one in the Kingdom can lay their hands in her. Even if they try, severe consequences will follow

"Who would have thought that my banishment would benefit me this much. If I stayed in the Kingdom, even I, would have surely died"

Just thinking of what kind of fate she will have in the Kingdom causes Kira's heart to shake in fear. Also, if she didn't travel and meet Cairo, what would the kid's fate be?

"Princess, please return back to the Kingdom and ascend to the throne to become the Queen" The General kneeled in front of Kira

If it was before, Kira and the others from her group would be given a huge shock. But after knowing some details, this outcome wasn't surprising

Without Kira, the Kingdom would surely fall!

Kira looked around her and her eyes locked towards a certain someone and she gave him a gentle smile. If Kira didn't meet Cairo, she might not accept the throne and let that Kingdom be. But now, she wants Cairo to have a bright future and that will only be possible if she returns to the Kingdom and become the ruler

Things happened too fast but Kira steeled herself. She was originally prepared to have a life of cruelty and hardship after breaking the seal in her body to unleash her true strength. But now, she will actually become a Queen

Kira doesn't care about the throne much but for Cairo and the mages that accompanied her, she will accept being the Queen

"Alright" Kira simply answered much to the General's shock. "But I warn you now, I'll be kind to the Kingdom's citizens but if any Nobles anger me, consequences will follow. Better keep them in check if I were you"

Kira was fully aware that the Kingdom is literally on top of her palm. She will make sure that the citizens will lead better lives unlike when her father was still the King. However! She won't let any Noble dictates what she can, can't, should, and shouldn't do

Being kind is different from being stupid!

The General knew the implications of Kira's words and he can only hope that the arrogant Nobles won't be reckless

"Cairo" Kira softly called out and from the crowd of curious townsmen, a kid walks out and went to Kira's side

"Will you come with me? I'll promise to do my best to give you a good life!" Kira said while stroking the kid's hair

Cairo likes this kind of warmth and nodded his head enthusiastically. His treatment of Kira became better after he watched his memories. Also, Cairo is sure that there would be huge benefits if she followed this soon to be Queen

Cairo still wants to continue becoming stronger and Kira can help him with that

"Let's go" Kira said and she helps Cairo in riding the giant griffin's back

The strong General became the 'coachman' and the griffin started ascending before the 'normal' griffins descend down to let Kira's team ride on them

The Townsquare was too small for all the griffins to land and they need to take turns

"Are you scared of heights?" Kira asked in concern and Cairo shakes his head

Cairo never flew before but he was looking forward to it! Ever since he saw the old man flying in the sky, he always dreamed of flying too

This flying session might not be using Cairo's own power but he was still looking forward to it!

After all the mages rode on the griffin, they immediately set off to return to the Kingdom

If it was just Kira, she wants to stay in the town for a while first but she knew she can't do that. There are a lot of things for her to work with after her return
