18 Chapter 18

Jeremy succeeded in making his rune and his aura grew stronger. A thick layer of mana coated his hand and the mage slammed it into the ground

A small scale tsunami made up of sands appeared and it 'drowned' a lot of undead with it. The normal humans used this chance and run away from the scene after the tsunami subsided

If they are going to call for help, or just run away to save their lives, no one knows yet

Cairo looked at the humans running away, he wants to run too but he can't. He was already given first aid but if he makes any sudden and forceful movements, it would surely make his injuries worst. Cairo is already sure that it would be really painful, he might even lose the ability to run because of pain

The kid doesn't like where things are heading especially when he saw that Jeremy, the strongest mage around kneeled in the ground while gasping for air

Ken ordered the undead to chase the civilians but the humans can't let that happen. If even just one of them informed Kira and the others, it will save everyone's lives!

Various magics were activated again and it killed a lot of the undead. Ken knew that if he became stubborn and ordered the undead to continue chasing, they might get wipe out and that is an outcome that is dangerous for him

Ken was forced to give another order to the undead and they stop chasing the humans. He thought that without Jeremy, things would be easier but he was wrong

Jeremy ripped his top clothing and revealed a red-colored rune in it. "If not for my powers being sealed, I wouldn't even need to use my trump card"

The mage taps the rune in his chest and his weak aura grew stronger again. A layer of blue light covered Jeremy's body and two swords made from sands appeared in his hands

Getting help is only the last resort, Jeremy planned on doing this from the start. However, if he can't defeat Ken and the undead after activating the rune, it would be game over. That's why he needs the civilians to call for help in case he failed

Ken knew that his enemy was getting serious and he wore knuckle knives in his hand. The knives were covered with mana before it changed into sharp winds that made screeching sounds

One look from that weapon was enough to know that it was not a normal weapon

Jeremy poured strength to his feet and the sands below it was blown away because of the impact

Ken did the same and his body was covered with winds as he met Jeremy head-on

One of the kind-hearted civilians decided to help her savior. She runs and runs to reach the Townsquare where most of the mages are located

She panted hard for breath while sweat rolled down her body. Even her legs were already on fire but she didn't stop to reach her goal

Arriving at the Townsquare, the human immediately encountered an undead that went to attack her before a flash of white light appeared and it beheaded the undead

"What are you doing here?" Kira asked with a frown on her beautiful face and the woman immediately spilled what she needs to say without even catching her breath

"U-undead .... a-attack .... c-civilians" the woman said in between her gasps. Her lungs were lacking in oxygen for her to utter a complete sentence

Kira's already dark face darkened even more. It was also not helping that black snakes made from magic were fired at her position

Kira waved her hand and the sands moved the civilian away while she uses her rapier to destroy the snakes

The lich was stronger than she and the others expected. Just like what he said, the lich got a lot of help from his gang. Several magic items were used by him in succession and the undead in this area turned stronger than before

"Cairo ...." Kira thought of that silent kid. She doesn't know why but she wants to help Cairo have a better life. Knowing that the kid was in danger causes Kira's heart to tremble in fear

She remembered how skinny Cairo was just months ago. He literally looks like a bag of skin and bones. But now, he at least has some fats in his body. Kira is sure that if Cairo continued having enough nutrients, the kid would be a handsome man that women would surely line for

Just imagining Cairo leading a good life and marrying a wonderful woman was enough to make Kira happy as if the kid was her own child

Too bad that her line of thought was interrupted when more snakes went to attack her. Kira wants to see Cairo having a wonderful life but it seems like that won't happen because of this damned lich

Kira dodged while her eyes turned colder as she looks at the lich. She knew the consequences of her next moves but she did not want to risk the life of her younger brother

Chain tattoos appeared all over Kira's body and the mages around looked at her in shock

Adah immediately waver her hand and some of the undead were pushed back by the sands as she went close to Kira

"K-Kira, are you sure with this?" The old woman asked before chain tattoos similar to what Kira has appeared in her own body

"Don't, only I, won't die because of this" Kira said and smiled. "B-But that will also mean ...."

Kira just shake her head before answering "I know"

The chain tattoos in Kira's body broke apart into smaller pieces before an aura so powerful it made the lich suffocated spread out from her

The lich had a bad feeling about this as if his death was literally just seconds away from him

Kira doesn't have time to 'use flashy effects' after the seal broke and she just waved her hand. Blades made from light appeared above all the undead before they descended down

In just a single move, all the undead were instantly killed. It was so anticlimactic that it will make the viewers bored

Just moments ago, Kira and the others were having a hard time fighting the undead along with the lich but now .... all their enemies fell to the ground with just a single move!

The lich that was their strongest enemy didn't escape Kira's power and he too fell in the ground devoid of any life

After killing the enemies around, Kira's figure floated in the air and she flew above the town to where Cairo and the others are located

As soon as her eyes locked on the two sides struggling with each other, she immediately made blades from white light and killed the undead along with Ken

It was still the same move without any flashy effects but Kira finished the bitter fight in just a matter of seconds

When Cairo raised his head, he saw Kira floating above and he can't help but be shocked. He knows that Kira is powerful but not to this extent. He can't believe that the woman that always taught him magic was this powerful

Kira descended down to where Cairo is and a white light spread to the kid's body

The pain that Cairo's body has immediately vanished as if it didn't appear in the first place. He can also feel that his wound seems as if it was already healed

When Cairo touched his back, he was shocked that he can't sense any wounds made from the fireballs of before anymore. Just how monstrous this healing ability is?

"Are you alright?" Kira asked with a soft tone before her facial features changed

Her face and whole body also turned whiter than before. Kira was already beautiful but after her facial features changed, she became even more beautiful

It wouldn't be wrong to say that her beauty can make any men kneel. Even Jeremy and the others can't stop themselves from staring at such a perfect face

Kira's words and 'new' face gave a sense of familiarity to Cairo and the diamond in his soul throb again before he was forced to watch his past life's memories for the nth time

The scene was the same as when the past Cairo activated the explosive sandball magic. But this time, after succeeding, a woman that has the exact physical features as Kira appeared

"My Cairo is really talented!" Kira complimented while clapping her hands with a smile

The past Cairo's cheeks instantly turned red before pointing his nose to the sky. "Of course! I'm your Younger Brother, how can I not be talented!" The kid boast but Kira didn't like his words

"Being my younger brother is not related to your talent, alright? You are you and I am me, we don't need to compare with each other. Besides, talented or not, I'll still love my younger brother!"

The young Cairo pouted his lips and can only nod his head but he still thinks that he should be talented, if not, he wouldn't be a worthy sibling for Kira
