Ch.24 Ticket into New Haven

(Anthony's POV)

Silence was what my statement was

rewarded with and as I thought I was dealing with a group of deaf-mutes I realize what I was wearing and its effects.

I pulled the hood if my cloak down and spoke again.

"You guys good? You can understand me right? I had asked if you need any help"

One of the men step forward and said "ummm yes we are good now, however what in the actual hell was that"

"Oh I almost forgot...where are my manners my name is Anthony however those who know me refer to me a Tony" I say while waving my hand and disappearing the bodies if the zombies to use as research materials only to shock them some more.

(several minutes and some zombie stragglers later)

Having calmed down and introducing themselves and catching me up on the situation leading to this point the girl named Anna spoke up and asked, " So how and what did you do?" I look at her and open my mouth to respond which merited all of them leaning forward to listen and I say, " As for how I dont the the exact physics or logic but as for what I just killed them with one of my various abilities that I have" I then continue to spool out some bull story, "The day all hell broke loose I died but I heard a voice, was granted unimaginable power, was sent on a mission to save the world", they listen with skepticism but could really refute anything I say anyways. I then look towards Jack who seems to be in charge and asked, " did you want to go back and retrieve all if the foodstuffs in that warehouse I can store it in my storage space"

Jack seemed to be weighing his options and I can understand I mean I can take it all and run away however remembering how the warehouse was left completely open and the noise from gunfire might have attracted more than just the zombies he decided to take his chances.

"Sure it would be better then making several trips to and from and you dont seem like a bad person who would screw us over"

As I'm doing a victory dance in my head about getting my ticket into the Settlement I theatrically gestured towards the alley and say, " Lead the way".
