1 Chapter 1: Amaryllis

<p>Amaryllis was the most powerful priestess from the Hagios island. She would work long hours at night to create magical spells, hymns, and meditative practices for the people. In the morning she would teach about the divine powers and practice her hymns. Hagios was an island off the East from the largest country Owlivia. People from different cities would travel from Owlivia to the Hagios island to pray to the gods or to see Amaryllis.<br/><br/>Although Amaryllis was the strongest priestess, she was also considered the most beautiful women. Many people come to take a sneak peek at her beauty and would joke that she was the only goddess they would pray to have a day with.<br/><br/>Her beauty was incomparable to the usual princesses from Owlivia. Amaryllis was like a fairy due to her smooth honey colored skin and innocent face. Her wavy pink hair would sway from side to side when she struts through a room. She had elegance in her which everyone considered a natural-born talent. She could hold a conversation with the people who came to be blessed. Most people thought how can she be a priestess when she seems to be like a high status empress.<br/><br/>Amaryllis would sometimes travel to smaller islands or cities to help heal or teach about spiritual knowledge. While she was off on her travels she loved learning about the community she was in and tried to be just a normal 16-year-old girl. This was impossible for her but in any situation she wished to be normal for once.<br/><br/>Most didn't understand that Amaryllis was just like any other girl and wished to be set free from the world she lived in. Priest and priestess was considered powerful beings because they hold magical powers. From the moment you are born you will receive the blessings of the gods on your back. She received a beautiful Amaryllis on her back which set in stone her path to be a priestess. Amaryllis didn't hate her destiny to be a priestess, but she knew the expectation she had to uphold.</p>
