It was still like a dream that Ricardo was with me. I saw his effort and I appreciated it. He coming here meant a lot to me, I counted it as a huge sacrifice.

I giggled as I stared at myself in the mirror getting ready to go out on a date with him. Apparently Emily and Larissa were involved in his shenanigan, no wonder they were smiling and laughing foolishly earlier when they were here. Claire came around to watch the kids while I get some me time for a few hours, dining in a fine restaurant and enjoying a bottle of fine wine.

“What are you giggling about?”

I jumped not expecting anyone to be in the room but myself. How pathetic I felt, used to being all alone.

“Nothing.” I said and continued applying my makeup.

He snorted. “Are you that excited to have me here? You are, ain’t you?”

I was certain my face at the moment was the color of a tomato. “I won’t lie, I am quite happy to see you and have you here with me. You look different, heck your aura is different.”
