1 NOT TO USE MAGIC....

The morning of 21st August started with a chaos in the Wood's Mansion. Selena McJonnes was scolding and rushing all the servants in the house for the preparations of the birthday banquet of her dear daughter Evelina Rose Wood.

If the Muggle World [In wizarding language; the world with people who don't have magic in them] would see the current Selena they will for sure call her an impostor.

As per muggles she is a very soft spoken, calm and collected person, and will never raise her voice or panic in any given situation. The current scenario was extremely contrasting, to what she was usually like.

"Darling why don't you relax and let me take over from here, it is not good for your voice to shout like this sweetheart" A voice came from behind her, making her sigh and turn around.

"Oliver, you would let them work at the same pace and will never scold them or rush them. I know you like back of my hand. And if they are going to keep the same pace then I doubt it will end before her next birthday" Selena chided Oliver.

Oliver Wood was a man in his late 30s, but his well sculpted features and turquoise eyes made him look like a man in his early 30s. He smiled adoringly at his wife who sighed in helplessness, he then hugged her adoringly and placed a warm kiss on her forehead.

"Selena why worry when you have such an awesome husband by your side. Just go and rest, I will handle everything over here" Oliver said while giving her a slight push towards the door leading to the living room.

"Then I'll go and check in the kitchen" Selena said in a defeated tone full of helplessness, she placed a quick peck on his lips and left for the kitchen.

She walked towards the kitchen and entered to find House Elves [Small adorable creatures who are permanent servants to their masters i.e. the Wizarding family they serve] were busy preparing delicacies as per instructed.

When they noticed her arrival all of them stopped their work and bowed their heads deeply. Selena nodded and then they all raised their heads and immediately resumed the work they were doing previously.

"Madam is there anything you would like us to make changes in" one of the elves closest to Selena asked in a respectful tone.

"Everything is fine" Selena said with a satisfied expression on her face, she nodded started walking along the table were the completed delicacies were placed.

After looking at them she nodded in satisfaction and left the kitchen. She entered the dining area to find two boys busy in the dining area doing something.

"Sam, Lauren, what are you two doing over here" Selena asked in a stern tone which startled the boys, making them jump in surprise and looked at Selena with shock.

They regained their composure almost immediately and Sam the oldest among the two said "Mum, we're just checking with the guest list, to ensure no one is left out" he smiled at her.

They got up and walking towards her, one by one they gave her a warm hug and smiled at her sweetly making Selena chuckle in amusement. She patted their head softly in an endearing way making the boys move back in annoyance.

"Mummm, don't do that please" Lauren whined while Sam nodded in agreement with his brother making Selena chuckle in amusement.

"Make sure you check the list thoroughly, this is our princess's first birthday in England so I want it to be the best night for her" Selena said in an enthusiastic tone.

"Sure Mum, after all it is our Rose's birthday bash, it has to be perfect. We were making sure that all the Wizarding Families [Families with wizards and witches as their members] perfectly land on the second floor foyer" Sam said in a calm yet confident tone.

"Whereas the Muggles [People who don't have magic in them] will enter through the main gate like usual and as instructed the timings have been set accordingly" Lauren completed his older sibling's sentence while smiling gleefully at his mother.

"Lauren make sure not to use magic, you are yet to turn 17" Selena warned them strictly, there was no hint of amusement or joking attitude in it. Her face strict and stern which stated 'This is no joke' sign clearly.

"Rest assured Mum" Lauren said while nodding reassuringly, Selena looked at him skeptically for a moment and then nodded as she left the dining area.

She reached the staircase connected to the dining area, she ascended them and reached second floor swiftly. She walked along the long corridor with three doors and beautiful antic paintings decorating the walls with posh red wallpapers with golden designs on it.

She stopped in front of the last door on the long corridor which had a beautifully engraved name on it.

"EVELINA ROSE WOOD"

It was engraved in beautiful calligraphy which resembled the Ivory Roses. The door was made up of rosewood and had a bronze handle with rose engravings on it.

She opened the door slowly so as to not make any noise and wake up up the sleeping princess inside the room. She closed the door behind her to restrict the commotion outside from entering the room.

The door was charmed with soundproof charm [A magical barrier created to prevent sound from seeping through it]. She smiled adoringly at the small curled up ball sleeping peacefully at the center of the bed.

She went in and opened the curtains to let the warm sunlight inside the room illuminating the room brightly. She then sat at the edge of the European style bed, with pure white curtains hanging around it.

Sensing the movements around her, the peaceful sleeping figure was awoken. Her eyes fluttered open, which resembled the butterfly wings. The girl's eyes fluttered opened, and came into complete glory.

The turquoise eyes which could make people forget themselves, felt like beautiful and serene sea, which had depths which mortals cannot measure. The warm morning sunlight reflected in her eyes, making it look warm and beautiful.
