3 A Day Gone South

As soon as they finished eating in an all-you-can-eat buffet, Eungoo insisted his friend to return to their university and complained on how much he hated seeing the other skip his classes for him. After many attempts later, he was able to convince his hyung to return.

Eungoo doesn't have classes for the day so he went straight to his part-time job. He was humming to himself when he entered the back door feeling happy and content at the moment because he won the competition and had a stuffed belly. He went to his locker and placed in his bag and his medal that he forgot take off during the whole trip. He greeted his co-workers before putting on his uniform.

He had a small mirror in his locker and lightly slapped his cheeks to keep his optimism intact. He then kept his light smile and hurriedly went out of the service door and came face-to-face with the dinning area and began his shift.

This is a good hour to be working on since it's getting busier at the moment. This area is quite populated and the people enjoy dinning out in restaurants, any restaurant in particular.

A few hours had passed and the restaurant was getting less crowded which was fine because this gives the employees a time to breathe. Then, a group of teenage elite looking girls came in and they were already attracting too much attention as they were chattering loudly.

Eungoo guided them to an empty booth as he tried his best to maintain his composure and smile. He even bit his tongue when a girl flipped her hair and slapped him in the process. He caught a whiff of her scent; it wasn't fragrant to him as the girl smelled like cigarettes mixed with a musk of… sex. He knows that scent because he used to work in a motel and because Kwan found out about it, he made him quit working there even when Eungoo told him that the pay is good; Kwan said he shouldn't be working in such places even if it's for the money.

"What would you like to have, ladies?" He asked as soon as he handed out the menu and pulled out a small pad of paper and pen for him to write their order on.

"Yah, Anika! I heard you met with Jiho today!" The girl exclaimed completely ignoring Eungoo.

The girl from earlier answered. "Yep! We had lots of fun~" The Anika proudly hinted and they laughed altogether, however one girl eyed Eungoo. Her eyes traveled up and doon and scoffed at him. The poor boy tensed but smiled a little none the less.

"What the fuck are you doing standing there?" The rude girl lashed out.

"I-I'm taking your order, ma'am." Eungoo replied.

"Do we look like we've chosen anything yet? Do your job properly and go to the corner!"

"Hey, Aya. He's not a child…" Another pitched in and chuckled. "I think he wants to hear Anika's sex story. Do you enjoy dicks as well, Mr… Kim Eungoo?"

'Fuck' Eungoo thought. He wasn't even sure what his sexuality was and he does not want a vivid story of the sex Anika had knowing she didn't wash herself properly because of the smell.

"I asked you a question, Kim Eungoo!" The girl's voice got louder and people were starting to stare.

"I'm not." He quickly answered. "I'll return later as soon as you are all ready to order." He then bowed and turned a 180 and walked it off.

"I know he's lying."

"Maybe he's a virgin!" This causing everyone at the table to gasp really loudly and boomed with laughter.

Eungoo chewed on his lips since it was true he is a virgin. He didn't think that there was anything wrong that and his hyung thought so too so he's all good. He then attended to another different table so that he could focus on other things other than his sexless and loveless life.

He bowed to the table and went back in the service room were he could give the order to the chef. The chef smiled and warned Eungoo to be careful with those type of customers as he was pertaining to the girls from earlier.

The employees working under this restaurant weren't mean to him but they didn't care much about Eungoo other than the chef. The man was very nice to him since he is the brother of the owner of the place.

"Thank you, Sir Lee. I'll keep that in mind."

"Eungoo, here." His co-waiter said and handed him two huge trays in which he accepted. "Deliver these to table four" the man instructed.

"Okay." He answered. "See ya later, Mr. Lee." And with that he went back in the dinning area. In order to get to the designated table he has to pass by the table from the mean girls from earlier.

He screeched when he stumbled upon something causing him to crash down and let the plates shatter on the floor. He was then covered in spicy sauces, rice and prawns. The people from table four gasped at the wasted food and suddenly began screaming.

"You!" Said the woman. "How could you be this careless! Where's your manager?! Call in the manager!" She demanded.

Eungoo knelt and bowed in front of her but it was no use she was already erupting from anger. He turned to the side and saw the girls quietly high-fiving and laughing as they began to take pictures and maybe record the scene.

The owner quickly flew to the scene and began apologizing to customer. It appeared that the customer was the wife of the district attorney as she vowed to have this restaurant closed all because of Eungoo. The owner was flustered and begged her not to do that. The elite girls decided to pitch as well.

"Ajusshi." Anika said. "The viewers here are telling us that you should fire Eungoo!" She laughed. She caught the owner's attention as he began to sweat from all of the pressure and without further thinking he grabbed Eungoo by the arm and began dragging him across the floor.

"Yujin! Go get his things!" His voice boomed across the room. The poor waitress ran back in the locker room and quickly looked for Eungoo's stuff as she was also scared of the owner. Mr. Lee was shocked to see what's happening that he quickly turned off the stove and ran after the girl.

The owner threw Eungoo out the restaurant despite of the cries and the begging of his employee not to fire him. He dragged him to the streets as it began to drizzle. Yujin ran towards the owner handing him Eungoo's stuff only for him to throw it out on the poor boy as well.

"You're Fired!" He said and closed the door. Eungoo's heart broke as he saw almost everyone was applauding because of what the man did. He chewed on his lips as he also saw the sorrowful gazes of his co-workers. They were shocked and scared that they stood frozen. He even saw Mr. Lee arguing with his brother. He couldn't take it anymore and quickly ran back home. He could feel his pride shattering alongside with his heart.

Kim Eungoo sighed as he gripped his medal in his hand. He swallowed thickly before putting on a smile on his face as he went to open the door. but his smile vanished as fast as the ightning when he saw a note on the door. He took the note and his eyebrows knitted together as he read it. He gasped as he let his bag fall off his shoulder. They were kicked out of their only place called home. In the verge of panic he grabbed the other white note seeing it was his father's penmanship.

'Eungoo … We're so sorry for leaving you behind but your mother and I had to. You see we can't easily pay off the debt we owed from Mr. Park. If you're reading this now then we have left hours ago. We know that you'll be able to handle yourself well without us. We're so sorry son… Please forgive us but… I believe his men is on their way to this apartment. Again.. We're truly sorry….'

"Shit… That's why I didn't see you both earlier…" His voice wavered. Eungoo huffed and let a tear slide down across his cheek. He shook his head in disbelief. His parents weren't even that supportive of him for college. The only reason why he was able to attend was because he earned a scholarship. If they even truly cared then he wouldn't have to come home to messy place called home that was filled with empty beer bottles and scattered heroine on the floor. Or that his father wouldn't just use him as a punching bag when he wants to. Or that his mom wouldn't let him sleep outside when she had her partners over.

He crouched down as he sobbed letting his medal go; letting it fall to his side. He was so engrossed with his thoughts that he didn't hear someone crept up behind him to cover his mouth with a handkerchief filled with chloroform. He hiccupped and weakly held on to the man's arm as he didn't even bother struggling since he had no energy to.

He watched as men clothed in black from head to toe grab his bag as well as the letter that his parents left him with hooded eyes. He gripped his trophy with weak hands as he drifted off into nothingness…. Soon he was unconscious
