2 Transfer Student

"OKAY! Attention class we'll be having a new addition to our class today! Now, don't treat her any differently than you would to any of your other fellow classmates, ALRIGHT?"

"Why the fuck would we treat her any different? Is she my Mama or what?"

A student seated at the back of the class whispered to the kid beside him completely forgetting that his teacher had ears that helped affirm his particular nickname: Rabbit.

"That would be a detention for you Mr. Hurst. You should know by now that I don't tolerate swearing in MY class in any shape or form AND I'd already given you a warning a few minutes ago."

The teacher replied almost instantly with annoyance lacing his words. Honestly sometimes he wonders why he ever thought being a teacher was a good idea. With brats like these hooligans, it's a wonder that he hasn't changed his profession to a school shooter instead.

"SHI-….Nnitzel. Schnitzel. I said Schnitzel Mr. Peterson. Nothing to see here."

Jonathon Hurst hastily corrected himself before he could give this middle aged devil the chance to punish him again.

"Hmmm. Anyways. Please welcome your new classmate and hopefully a future friend, Alice White!"

Mr. Peterson finally announced after getting his "energetic" and "enthusiastic" class to finally settle.

Mr P sighed. Hopefully this new kid wouldn't be too much of a handful.

Noisy.

Morning are always too noisy.

The rush of students and adults alike. One to their jobs, another to their schools.

Mornings should be quiet, peaceful and refreshing. It was one of the reason why Lucas's house was on the outskirts of the city.

Another day, another challenge, another chance.

Lucas never appreciated his class's overly animated mornings.

Mornings should be for the mind to contemplate.

Calming.

Silen-

"Why is everyone so quiet all of a sudden?"

Lucas wondered as he looked up from the cooking book that he was reading through.

Looking up he sees a girl standing by the door looking into the classroom curiously. Her eyes seemed to scan the class before locking eyes with him. She quickly looks away and proceeds to walk into the classroom.

What he saw was no ordinary girl.

He saw "her".

"She's changed."

He noted feeling tired all of a sudden. She was still more than beautiful.

With ink-black hair instead of her usual dirty blonde to the lazy smile that now adorns her face with playful sky blue eyes that were more firm.

She shines bright.

Too bright.

An old friend she was.

Probably still is.

Though would you consider someone who you haven't spoken to in years, a friend?

Doubtful.

"Hello! My name's Alice, Alice White. Somethings about myself are that I like the colour violet, chocolate and I like to paint! Also..I can't talk for long periods of time at a time due to medical reasons…"

Alice introduced herself with a small smile that left a good impression on most of her classmates. Her introduction though immature, still sounded absolutely right when said by her.

Looking at everyone in the class she continues.

"Please take care of me!"

After a small pause she continued with exuberance lacing her words.

And finally she finished off with a wink that KO-ed the hearts of some the lonely kids that were to be her classmates and gave a short bow as she finished.

"Ughhhh."

Lucas grimaced knowing full well that a new variable had entered his relatively simple equation of life.

And a highly unstable variable at that.

Life had just got more complicated…
