1 Prologue

"Wake up! It's already morning!" a familiar shouted.

I opened my eyes only to see my mom who is standing beside me right now.

My mom is Freya Velasco Frost, She is my biological mother, She used to be an actress but after giving birth to me she gave up her career and focused on taking care of me and my family.

Before I was born my family is not having a good smooth life, My Father (Ashton Lee Frost) Korean-American used to be an employee to his father's company. The Frost Empire.

No one knows that my Dad is the heir of The Frost Empire so he was treated badly. On July of 2003 The Frost Empire filed bankruptcy and my grandfather Alexius Frost was planning to sell the company, around that time I was also born. My father was facing crisis but when he looked at me he thought, What would I do for this sweet little child. What life would she have if I'm her dad and I cannot even earn money properly.. That is when my Father decided to take over The Frost Empire, and just like a miracle. The Frost Empire was saved by my dad he worked hard and did everything he could to save the company all he is thinking is giving his family a stable and happy life. That is based on the story that my mother told me.

"Honey, Why are you shouting so loud?" Dad asked while reading the Newspaper

My dad is Ashton Lee Frost he is a little strict but he is very soft on the inside.

"It is all because of Kaede, Look what time is it! She is gonna be late for school! She stayed up last night and left the TV open! and she even slept on the Sofa and you expect me not to be angry?! ٩(๑`ȏ´๑)۶" -Mom

"Kaede! Get up and eat your food. Do not make your mom angry! Σ(-᷅_-᷄๑)" -Dad

I just pouted and stood up anyway.

my class is still 2 hours away and mom just loves to wake me up early. Whatever I'll just leave it be.

I stood up and head to the dining room to eat my mom stopped nagging and served the food for me and dad to eat.

After eating I took a shower and then my bag.

"Mom, Dad! I'm going!" I shouted while wearing my shoes.

"Be safe!" My mom shouted back

I hurried and as soon as I went out...

"Kaede!!!" A man shouted very loud.

It was my bestfriend Kuro.. Kuro is my bestfriend since I was a kid. We grew up together and we treat each other like a sibling Kuro is Japanese-Filipino we have so much in common that is why we're very close to each other and we treat each other fairly.

"Why are you so loud today? Σ(-᷅_-᷄๑)" -Me

"The thing is... There is a new trending game that I wanna try! Let's go and check it out later together after school!" He proposed with a big smile.

"Sure thing. Whatever! Just make sure it is good!" I respond with a bored tone of voice

I just agreed anyway, I'm sure he won't let me go without checking that game out anyway.

[School]

"Goodmorning Kaede!" My friend Lucy greeted

"Goodmorning!" I responded with a smile.

I noticed that she looks so tired and it looks like she did not get any sleep

"You look so tired are you alright?" I asked her.

"Yeah! I just stayed up last night streaming EXO" She answered like a dying whale

Lucy is a Big Kpop fan she likes EXO a lot. The Korean boyband who is very famous in Korea. I just smiled at her helplessly. I really can't say anything to a fangirl can I?

Afters school Kuro came to our class to pick me up. His class finished early and he decided to wait for me. He waited for atleast an hour so I really can't say no now..

I packed my bag and approached him

"So uhm.. where are we going? ʕ-᷅ᴥ-᷄ʔ" -me

"Spectrum Internet Cafe~ My PC is broken they said it would take days to fix it so I closed my Gaming room. (ˊo̶̶̷ᴗo̶̶̷`)"

"Let's grab some food before going there shall we?" Kuro asked and took his wallet out.

Kuro went to the nearby restaurant we're only blocks away from Spectrum but I decided to wait for him..

Well, Unfortunately... someone I do not wish to see is nearby as well.

It is Dean, my childhood friend who used to be my crush. He is also my first love.. He is standing on a big house looks like he is waiting for someone so I just looked at him.

after a while his girlfriend Diane went out from the house it turned out that the big house is Diane's house. it is nothing compared to our house though.

God I won't wish for anything. Just don't let them notice me!!!

"Oh, Hi Kaede!" Diane greeted

Well, Haven't I said it before? I have a rotten luck when it comes to love.

"H-hi.. " I politely responded trying to hide my embarrassment

"Where are you going? tomorrow is your Exam isn't it?" Diane asked.

I lowered my head and avoided looking at them after a short while.

"I'm going to Spectrum together with a friend..." I answered

"Oh.. It is alright to take a break sometimes." Diane said with a smile

"For sure you will be going to Spectrum to play again.. Seriously, Kaede you're hopeless!" Dean said looking at me with disappointment.

I lowered my head and bit my lower lip

Everytime Dean looks at me with this disappointed looks, It makes me feel so worthless. It feels like I cannot do anything better.. and all I know is to play online games all day.

"Whatever I'll do to my life, IT IS NONE OF YOUR BUSSINESS! " I calmly respond and glared at him

Diane stopped Dean from saying something stupid again but Dean just can't stop his fat mouth from saying bad things to me.

I don't even know why do I like this trash.

"What? I'mjust stating the truth, Besides... She doesn't really study." -Dean * looking to Diane *

"Why don't you go and study.. How about that?" -Dean *looking at me*

I was about to explode when Kuro came and put the cold milktea onto my head.

"Hey what's wrong with you?! It's cold!!" I complained.

"I see the smoke coming out from your little head, It is dangerous to let a bomb explode no matter how small it is." Kuro answered while smirking.

"Don't joke around." I pouted.

"Well looks like you have friends here." Kuro said and turned to Dean and Diane.

"Yes, Hi Senior Kuro I'm Dia--" Diane couldn't finish her words because I spoke.

"No, I don't know them at all." I answered Kuro.

Kuro looked at me and nodded..

"Then we should go now, We don't want to miss a seat." Kuro said with a smile and walked away from Dean while holding my hand
