2 Responsibilities

Next morning, Aimee was heading to work. She wondering how she is going to get her badge back, but at the same time she does not to face him. Thinking about this, a car pulls up, a man gets out of the car, is no other than Riku.

She knits her brows. (Argh..Him again. What is he doing here?) She decides to ignore him. She was about to enter her workplace. She got stopped by him. "What do you want?" "Let's talk." "Let go." "I need to talk to you." "I have nothing to talk about." "That night--" She covers his mouth. She sighs and gets into his car in order to talk. "What is it?" She sits and cross her arms. "That night, I mistook you for someone else." "Got it." She lifts her hand. He tilts his head in confusion.

"My badge!" He takes out of his pocket. She snatches it. "Thank you." She opens the door but it was locked. She sighs. "What now?" "I want to take responsibility on my actions." She turns to him. "Responsibility? No need to." "Aimee." "You--" She's so frustrated. (How am I going to get rid of him?)

"I want you to marry me." "You got to be kidding me?!" "I'm serious." "Look, pal. I don't know you other than being Natalie's brother-in-law. I'm not interested in you." "We slept together and.." She cuts him off. "I wouldn't marry you." "Why?" She looks at him. "I do not need a man in my life." "Is it because of your father?" She bit her bottom lip. "Did they told you that?" "No. I had someone to check you out." She hits him across his face. "Damn you rich people." She turns to the driver. "Open. This. Damn. Door." The door unlocks.

Before she gets out, she looks at him. "Even if I get pregnant, I still wound not marry you. Whether i keep the baby or not, this doesn't concerns to you. Leave me alone." She gets out and head to work.

"Young Master, are you okay?" "..yeah. I'm fine." Riku sighs. (Why is she so upset? I don't get it. Most women would fall for me but she's not like that.) "Let's go." The driver nods and left the Sunny Wedding.

Riku heads to his brother's place for help. As soon he got there, he sits on the sofa. "What's wrong?" "Brother, I dont get her at all." "Her?" "I forced a woman to sleep with me." Aki drops his pen. "You what?!" "I apologize to her and she just brush me off. I even ask her to marry me." "Riku. You--"

Aki looks this little brother, who's so innocent. "Who is she?" "You already met her. Aimee." "WHAT?! You--" "Yeah. It's okay, I even return her work badge. But she got mad." "What did you do to her?" "Nothing but the fact that I send someone to check on her background." "Riku!" Riku raises his hand, "I'm here." Aki sits down with his hands on his face.

(How can Riku act like this...? Is it because of me raising him like that?) Aki looks up at Riku. Aki sighs. "You need to give her some respect." Riku nods. "If I do that then...will she like me?" "You...like her?" "Oh, yeah. She's the first who would hit me, yelled at me, ignored me, and such." "Riku. Do you like her as a friend?" "No, no, no, brother. I really like her, but everything I do, she just explodes." Aki smiles at Riku. (You're growing up.) "Okay. I'll help you." "Really?" Riku's face lightens up. "Yeah." "Thank you."

Aimee is in her office, still cursing him. "That bastard...has the nerve to ask me on marriage...[scoffs] Crazy people these days. She receives a call from Natalie. "Nat." "Aimee, would you like to have dinner with me?" "Sure. What time?" "6 at my place." "Alright. I will be there." "See you then." The call ends. (It's been forever since I last ate with Nat.)

Later that evening, Aimee comes and rings the doorbell. The door opens and she just stood there. "You...you..why are you here?!" She pointed at Riku. "Me? I live here." "Huh?!" Natalie appears. "Ah. Aimee, you're here." Aimee grabs Natalie by the arm and whispers, "Why is he here?" "Riku?" Aimee nods. "He lives with us." She lets go of Natalie. "I'm off." She turns around and tries to escape. Natalie grabs her and drags her to come inside. "You're here so why not come in."

Aimee glares at Natalie who is sitting across from her. Aki slightly tap Natalie to talk to Aimee. "Aimee. How's work?" "It's going good." The atmosphere went back to silent. Riku decides to talk to her. "Is you mom okay?" Aimee stops eating and looks at Natalie. "Nat. Why did you invite me over?" "Huh?" She glares at Nat. "Well...it's been ages since we met and why not?" Aimee stands up. "Thank you. I'll be leaving." Riku follows her. "R-riku." Aki tries to stops him but Riku ignores him.

Riku grabs Aimee's hand. She takes it back and slap him. Natalie and Aki are shocked. "I told you to leave me alone." "I can't do that." "Arghh..you..." Natalie gets in between them. "Aimee, lets talk." "I'm going home." "Aimee." Aimee looks away. Natalie looks at Riku. "Riku. I'll talk to her, okay?" Riku nods.

Aimee and Natalie walks together. "What is it?" "Can't you be nice to him?" "Why?" Natalie sighs. "Riku and Aki aren't blood-related. Riku got beaten and abused by his mother. Aki's parents took him in and raised him. They all love him as if he's one of them. Aki takes cares and looks after him. Riku might be mature on the outside but in reality, his mind is a like a child."

Natalie stops and looks at Aimee. "Aimee, I know you don't like him, but can you at least be friends with him? He's always around with people who likes him because of his wealth, image, and reputation. He never had a real friend nor had a real girlfriend. Girls date him because of his wealth and image. They broke up with him because he's quiet. But with you, he's really talkative. He looks happy when it comes to you." Aimee looks away. "Think about it." Natalie returns home.

Natalie returns and sees Riku sitting on the stairs. "Natalie." "I talked to her." "Did she get home safe?" "Huh? No. I left her in the middle of--" "Riku grabs his jacket and left the house. "Eh? Riku?" Aki stops Natalie. "Aki." "Once he goes, he won't listen." "Is that so?" Aki smiles as he looks Riku runs. "He really did fell for her." Natalie nods. They hugged each other.

Aimee didn't go home, she heads to the playground nearby. She sits on the swings, thinking. (Did I overdid it? Well...all I did was yelling at him and making a scene...I guess I did.) She kept thinking about it then she sees a person standing in front of her.

She looks up and sees Riku, who is out of breath. (Hm? Why did he..?) "Are you okay?" "Eh? Ah..yes." He bends down, catching his breath. "Thank goodness." She tilts her head, confused. He looks up at her. They both stared at each other. She looks away and asks, "Why are you here?" "Because I worried about you." Worried?" "Yeah." "Why?" "Because you're a woman." He stands up and sits on the swing on her right side. "I'm sorry." Riku looks at her. "I overacted. I yell at you and hit you. Sorry." "No it's okay. It's my fault."

Riku looks up ahead. She reaches out and touch his face. He startles of how warm it is. "Does it still hurt?" "No." She's about to takes her hand off of his face. He reaches out and put his hand on top of hers. She was surprised. "Your hand is warm." He smiles. (T-t-t-that's cheating.) Her face blushed. He notices and asks, "Are you okay?" "Eh?" "Your face is red. Do you have a fever?" "N-n-n-n-no. I don't." He gets up and lean closer to check her temperature by forehead to forehead.

She stares into his eyes. *Thump Thump. (My heart is about to burst.) "Hmm...it seems you don't have a fever." He moves away. "R-r-right." He takes his hand out. She looks at him. "It's late. Let me take you home." She takes his hand. They walk side by side while holding hands.
