1 Dangerously Beautiful

There was not a single newspaper or a magazine that didn't have that name on the cover. The name that has made many bow their heads. The name that made even the best ones feel inferior . The name that was not gifted but made. The name that was beautiful yet so dark.

AURORA SHEROFF- The youngest business tycoon still maintains her top position in the business world."

Said the highlights on the newspaper lying on the table.

The rays of the setting sun bestowing the room with much needed light painting the whites in beautiful hues of yellow and orange. The seemingly never ending silence of the room was broken with the sound of opening of the bathroom door.

There she was, completely drenched in water from head to her toes. Her wet clothes sticking to her body. She carried herself towards the mirror with elegance of lioness she was.

"One more victory, one more sunset." She laughed looking at the way water dripped from her hair to her face and then slowly making it's way to her neck before it was soaked by her already wet t-shirt.

She quickly picked up the phone that had been vibrating ever since she locked herself in the bathroom.

"What made you call me?" It was her friend cum secretary Aricia.

"I just wanted to congratulate you. " She replied softly.

"You did it." She continued.

"Aurora always makes it. I get whatever I want...whatever." She spoke with loads of confidence and a hint of arrogance in her voice. It wasn't new for her , she was getting this fame from past four years. She came a long way to build an empire whose foundations are stronger than the wills of normal people.

"The paparazzi wants to meet you. " Aricia told her which made Aurora frown.

"I seriously have no time for this media drama. Decline them and fix my meetings with other companies. We need to work hard. " Aurora looked outside the glass window. The setting sun was a reminder for her that she was still away from her dream. A dream that was much more beautiful than this.

"Don't you think, you work way too much for your age. Get a life girl. You are already so succe...."

"That's what makes me different. It appears to be the top to everyone but for me ,it's the bottom of the next high mountain of success. Now do what I asked you to." Aurora said without letting Aricia complete her sentence.

"Hmm." Aricia responded before cutting the call.

She knew Aurora was the most beautiful soul one can ever find in this world. But the 'was' in this sentence depicted how the envy, anger, lies, deceit , betrayals burnt her heart to an extent where she turned cold and all icy. She was a indeed a soul lost in labyrinth of hatred and revenge ...a lost soul that could have been saved but was deliberately sacrificed.

After the call disconnected, Aurora carried herself towards the mirror, again. She looked at the reflection in front. So strong , so flawless, such a beautiful creation of God with trucks full of wit and ....sooo dangerous. Her lips were painted with an evil smile and her hands tracing the reflection of her face in the mirror.

"Unwise believe that mirrors don't lie. But only wise ones can tell that mirrors are just like this world...DECEPTIVE. " the next minute, her hand punched the reflecting surface so hard to make it crack into pieces, each piece reflecting nothing but Aurora.

She laughed at the pain she inflicted on herself. She was now numb to pain...no amount of pain could face the storm rising in her every second. That's what she was - Dangerously beautiful
