5 Dumbledore

Miles unwrapped his Chocolate Frog and through came an actual chocolate frog waiting to leap out but Miles didn't give it a chance to do so as he quickly picked it up and put it in his mouth. With his mouthful of chocolate, he picked up the card from within the wrapper. It showed a man's face. He wore half-moon glasses, had a long, crooked nose, and flowing silver hair, beard, and mustache. Underneath the picture was the name Albus Dumbledore.

"Oh, you got Dumbledore," Selena said glancing over at the card, "He's truly famous even here, being the strongest must be really nice."

Miles nodded, as he turned the card around and read:

ALBUS DUMBLEDORE

CURRENTLY HEADMASTER OF HOGWARTS

Considered by many the greatest wizard of modern times, Dumbledore is particularly famous for his defeat of the dark wizard Grindelwald in 1945, for the discovery of the twelve uses of dragon's blood, and his work on alchemy with his partner, Nicolas Flamel. Professor Dumbledore enjoys chamber music and tenpin bowling.

With philosopher's stone in his mind lately, he had read almost every piece of information you can find about it and its creator. And surprisingly there weren't many as he thought it would be. Considering the powers the stone hold, it was quite surprising to see so many people not even aware of the man who is nearly immortal.

Most of the things that did pop up were all related to Dumbledore. And some that didn't consist of Dumbledore was mostly based on false rumors and such. Making the man a bit of a mystery. The last record of someone trying to steal the philosopher stone was years ago and ever since then, nothing has happened. The man and the stone both seem to be lost to the world, as no one really talked about them a lot. But in places like Gringotts, the man was nearly praised as a god, especially by other curse-breakers. The knowledge about runes that Flamel held was something every curse-breaker desired.

Miles and Selena chatted for a while and even John eventually joined in shielding his daughter away from Miles. As they were talking about wands, they heard a knock at the door.

"It must be your mother," John said standing up as Miles and Selena followed.

There was indeed a red-head at the door but it wasn't Patricia but a man. The man was tall, thin and quite handsome. His red-hair tied in a ponytail, he looked young, like someone who had just been out of school.

"Johnathan Wolfe?" The guy asked, "I am Bill Weasley, I am here on behalf of Ms. Rakepick to pick up Miles."

John didn't say anything as he looked back at Miles who was walking towards them. Miles nodded as he looked at Bill who signaled him that he will be waiting outside.

"It was good meeting you, Selena." Miles said turning back to the little girl and looked at John, "You too John."

Selena nodded, "Um, will we see each other again?"

"If fate has it, we will." Miles said smiling, "Since we're friends, I'll make sure to letter every now and then if you'd like that."

"Friends?" Selena muttered looking a bit lost but she snapped back to her senses quickly, "I mean sure, I'd love that."

Miles chuckled a little as he picked up his bag and with one last nod at John, he got off the shop waving them goodbye.

"Let's leave," Miles said to Bill, who lazily grabbed his shoulders and apparated away.

"So you're free from your apprenticeship?" Miles asked as both he and Bill sat cozily in their airplane seat after reaching the airport.

"Yes." Bill nodded, "Your mother thinks I am more than ready and me taking care of you till you reach Hogwarts is like my last assignment."

"What are you thinking of doing after this?"

"Madam Patricia has helped me with some of her connections in Gringotts to finally get me a job." Bill said, "I've been assigned to Egypt, so after you ride that train, I'll be chilling out in Egypt searching treasures."

"Sounds decent." Miles nodded. A job in Egypt was one of the good ones for a curse-breaker as it was one of the hotspots around the globe, so there was a much better chance of being successful there than in any other parts of the world.

"But before that, I think we need to do something else first." Bill said grinning at him, "I see that you've finally got your wand."

Miles stiffly smiled understanding the meaning behind his words. Bill after he finished Hogwarts went straight to Patricia as she had promised him back when she taught there that she will allow him to be her apprentice. Bill was a pretty laid back guy so it was easier to hit off with him, and since Patricia made trained them together, they had created a good bond among themselves, duel after a duel.

Since Miles didn't have his wand with him, it was mostly fighting she taught them. Patricia had many rumors about her in the magical world including feats like killing a Manticore with her bare hands and supposedly ripping the tail off a Chimaera. While the rumors were slightly true, she obviously didn't fight them in a fist match but her fighting skills did help her kill them in a heroic way.

For Miles who was trained to fight since a very young age, he knew his weakness and strength really well, so for someone against Bill it was quite easy for him to win with his height at an advantage attacking him in his no-no zone and such was quite easy for him. But unfortunately, Bill soon got used to it and fought back using his tall figure as an advantage. Both he and Miles wanted to have a good duel with magic but except for the time Miles stole Bills wand and used a couple of spells he had learned like the tickling charm on him, he had never gotten around to touch a wand.

According to Patricia, for a young wizard who was still developing his magic core, using and training with a wand would not be beneficial in any way and only be detrimental to one's growth. There was a reason why every wizard got their wand at 11, even the pure-blood ones. So instead of using magic, he did learn some fighting skill, basic potion, and theory on magic and most foremost his athletic ability. Climbing rocks, running were something necessary for every curse-breaker in case they needed to run away from something or just reach things that are in a higher place. So for a boy his age, he was strong enough to hold his fight against people.

"Are you going to cower away?" The redhead said in a bit of teasing tone, "I understand if you don't want it, as you've never even held a wand properly bef--"

"Let's do it but don't go crying if you lose."

After spending hours of in plane, the jetlag was enough to knock both of their fighting spirits out as they both traveled lazily to Leaky Cauldron a popular pub and inn in London. Not saying anything to anyone other than Tom, the owner of the pub, they just crashed in their room to get a good sleep.
