Earth was a different earth, and on this earth, everyone wished to reach their seventeenth year. Countless actors and actresses had acted in movies centered on the seventeenth year of life. Movies about gifts that moved nations, abilities that defied laws, and movements that changed societies.

But in reality, how many gifts achieve that goal?

The ability to fly? That saves you from using a ladder. (It isn't very useful)

Invisibility? No one can see you. (You may be hit by a truck.)

A car? What if you can't drive? (What if there are no roads...)

A good memory? There are some things you should never remember. (at all)

A game system? What would be the meaning of life then? (What if you're not the only one?)

This story is about a boy who was too awkward, tall, and shy.

And a girl who was too easily embarrassed and clumsy.

And this is what they do with the 'gifts' they receive.
