40 Training Giants (Chapter 40)

Some of the Giants stared at Daniel smugly some even with a hint of contempt.

Daniel realized the looks they were giving him.

'Oh? They seem to be getting full of themselves, huh. C*cky little sh**s, although this is awesome and magical, but back in my Home World we would have Tall Skyscrapers that are even taller than this dome. Although this place is indeed more spacious than the stadiums we have.'

Daniel just decided to ignore them and continued looking around with curiosity.

"Okay!! Everyone, today you are here to train to become the future guardians of The Atlas Flame. Each and every one of you was nominated by a Guardian because of your unique talents. So today we will be doing some training and I will see how well you do."

Tor said with staring at the nervous group in front of him with stern eyes.

(AN : Huh, seems like our laughing Giant is serious now.)

"You will all take turns coming to the middle in pairs and spar, that way you will demonstrate your skills and strengths."

Tor said as he walked next to Daniel.

"Also, I will not be the only one judging, Daniel himself is experienced in in hand to hand combat and is also an S-Class Wizard. Of course you guys do not need to do only hand to hand combat, you may choose to use your weapons as well."

Tor said with a faint smile.

The young Giants suddenly glared at Daniel.

'Damn iiiiit… this b**tard did this on purpose!'

Daniel angrily stared at Tor. Although it is true that Daniel was strong in hand to hand combat that was only because he had a strong 'Constitution', incredible strength and enhanced senses that allowed him to react quickly in his fights.

'Ah crap. System show me basics of hand to hand combat.'

'Meh. I was going to have to learn it sooner or later. Yes.'

Suddenly Daniel felt a cooling sensation come from his abdomen up to his brain. He felt a sudden swelling on his head then a sudden rush of information was being processed in his brain.

"Phew…."

Daniel exhaled with relief.

'Well at least I now have some knowledge on fighting. Maybe later I can get myself some martial art skill.'

"Now then, who wants to go first?"

Tor said staring at the group.

Two Giants raised their hands.

"Adan, Balfour you may head to the middle."

Tor said solemnly.

(AN : I ain't about to make an entire fighting scene between unimportant characters… (￣ヘ￣) )

As time passed Daniel was impressed by the fighting methods of the Giants, they all had similar styles to his home world's Kung fu, since back home he took Kung fu for two years when he was in middle school he recognized the similarities and he was able to actually help give a few pointers. (AN : Fun fact : I actually did take Kung fu for 2 years during middle school ( ´ ▽ ` ) )

'Although it is impressive, it is in fact useless during actual fights outside the village since the enemies they would face outside would be smaller than them.

Perhaps they practice it because of its healthy benefits?'

Daniel thought curiously.

Of course, a couple of Giants also used their weapons, some used giant war hammers, some others used giant spears, and others used gauntlets. A couple few used a sword, which was Daniel's expertise since he had the Skill [Dual Swordsmanship (Advanced)] and was able to give a few pointers with clarity.

When some of the Giants received Daniel's guidance they looked at him more respectfully as Daniel's guidance did indeed help them, however there were still some others who still looked at him with a bit of contempt.

The only ones who were left were the female giantess and a giant who has been giving Daniel glances filled with contempt. Suddenly the young giant stood out and looked at Daniel with scorn.

"Sir Tor, I don't think Daniel should be judging along with you."

The young Giant said glaring at Daniel.

"Oh? Why do you say that Peter?"

Tor said frowning.

"Although I admit that some of his pointers have helped us and he may be an S-Class Wizard, he is merely a human."

"So?"

Tor said staring angrily at the haughty young giant.

"Humans will always be small and frail creatures. He may be strong right now, but if one of our people were to become an S-Class Wizard they would be stronger than Daniel."

Peter said as he stared at the silent Daniel.

"Peter!"

Tor yelled angrily he was about to go smack the foolish giant until Daniel started laughing.

"Hahahaha, kid you really make me laugh!!"

Daniel said holding his stomach as he laughed hard.

"Grrr what's so funny?!"

The young Giant said glaring at Daniel.

"Kid, not one Race is better than another. There are merely certain advantages that one Race may have over another but that does not necessarily mean that they are stronger. For example, I've heard that your Race rarely have anyone that can do Magic meanwhile Humans have many Wizards that can do Magic, however your Race has incredible strength thanks to your size. So there isn't such a thing as one Race being better than another one. Although you may have incredible strength..."

*FWIIISHH*

Suddenly Daniel's [Galaxy Wings] unfurled and he flapped the wings and hovered above the group of Giants.

"...I have Magic."

The young giants stared at the beautiful wings that Daniel had. They indeed looked like they were holding a galaxy in them as they were a mixture of beautiful dark purple with hints of white and red and glittery stars.

"Beautiful…"

The female giantess murmured in a low voice as she stared the wings in awe as did the rest of the giants.

"S-So what?! Can you defeat Captain Tor in a fight without your Magic?"

The young Giant said a bit flustered.

'Sigh….. Why is he so stubborn? I am not going to continue arguing with this guy.'

Daniel then lowered himself back to his spot as his [Galaxy Wings] dematerialized.

"Hahaha!! You know what? I will spar with Daniel with all my strength so I can show you just how fearsome humans can be!"

Tor said as he started walking to middle.

Then the giants started cheering. They all got excited to see a fight between the Captain of the Guardians of the Atlas Flame and the human S-Class Wizard. They all moved against the wall and stared at them with anticipation.

'Eeeh?! He is going along with the dumb kid's idea?!'

Daniel thought exasperated.

Daniel headed to the middle along with Tor.

"Tor why are you going along with what this kid is saying?"

Daniel said in a low voice.

"Hahaha to show them how strong you are, of course. Also, because I really do want to spar with you. Hahaha!"

Tor said laughing loudly.

The two then arrived at the middle and faced each other. The laughing Giant was looking at Daniel with an excited expression on his face as he got into a fighting position that Daniel recognized as 'The Bow Stance' or 'Gong Bu' a very well known stance that is useful for both attack and defence. (AN : Lol just search up Gong Bu in Google.)

"Sigh… very well then, get ready, Tor!"

Daniel said as he got into a fighting stance too.

The two continued to stare at each other as the atmosphere started to become oppressive.
