41 Tor VS. Daniel (Chapter 41)

The two continued to stare at each other as the atmosphere started to become oppressive.

Suddenly, the sound of wind tearing broke the silence and Daniel could be seen vanishing from his position and a small crater was left where he previously stood in.

Tor's eyes narrowed as he saw Daniel dashing head on towards him with incredible speed.

As Daniel neared Tor, Tor's arms started to tense as he got ready for Daniel. Just as Daniel was a few meters away from Tor, he suddenly jumped.

"Wha?!-"

Tor stared at Daniel in shock.

As Daniel jumped, he used the momentum he built up on his dash and made a downwards kick towards Tor. (AN : For those who've done Taekwondo think about the 'Axe Kick' ;3 Or Google it.)

Although Daniel's attack was unexpected, Tor managed to instantly bring up his arm.

*BOOOM!!*

Daniel's kick was blocked by Tor's forearm and an immense crater formed under Tor as Daniel's kick pushed him deeply into the ground, however Tor managed to remain steady in the Gong Bu stance.

In that instance, Tor managed to stare at Daniel's expression and saw him grinning with a familiar look in his eyes, eyes that were burning with a passion for battle.

"Hahahaha!!"

Tor laughed, suddenly he shifted his stance slightly to a horse stance and grasped Daniel's leg.

He then turned his heels and swung him with unimaginable force that Daniel immediately felt incredibly nauseous as he felt the world around him suddenly blur. *BOOOOM!!* The next thing Daniel noticed was this bitter sweet taste rising in the back of his throat.

"COUGH COUGH"

Daniel suddenly coughed out blood.

His head drooped low as he stayed embedded into the wall, immobile.

Tor stared at the motionless Daniel worriedly.

"HAHAHAHAHA!!!"

Suddenly the immobile Daniel started to laugh.

Daniel continued laughing wildly as he suddenly launched himself off the wall.

Daniel currently was feeling bubbling exhilaration. He felt excited that he had found an opponent which he could freely spar with!

"Tor get ready!! I won't hold back anymore!!

Daniel yelled as he started to dash towards Tor, tearing the wind apart.

"Hahaha, come, young warrior!!"

Tor said as he once more got into the Gong Bu stance.

Daniel rushed head on he leaped once more and punched with incredible force towards Tor.

Tor pushed a palm towards Daniel meeting with his fist.

*BAAAM!*

A loud clap rang out as Daniel's fist and Tor's palm met. Once more the ground under Tor was destroyed.

Suddenly, Tor shifted his palm downwards causing Daniel's arm to plunge downwards.

Tor then threw a sidekick towards Daniel taking advantage that he was still in the air. Daniel managed to lift his arms and guard himself with his forearms and was once again blasted away, this time hitting the 'ceiling' and smashing into one of the magic circles.|1|

*BOOM!!*

*Siiizzzle*

Daniel suddenly felt intense burning pain on his back. The magic circle continued to sizzle as electric like energy currents bombarded Daniel's back. |2|

Daniel then plummeted to the ground.

*BOOM*

Daniel crashed into the floor. (AN : Like this >|o )

He then stood up and wiped blood off his lips as his Beats suddenly warped into his hand, he then put them on.

"System play the Fairy Tail Main Theme, I will be leaving my phone in the Space Inventory.…"

Daniel suddenly felt like he was brimming with power as he clenched his fist.

<Tor : Hmmm, strange Daniel is now emanating a very powerful pressure. What changed? Is it perhaps those Magic Headphones?> |3|

Tor stared at Daniel who was full of battle ardor.

*BOOOM!!*

Daniel once more launched himself towards Tor.

Tor thought exasperated as he readied himself once more.

However, contrary to what Tor thought, Daniel didn't leap, instead he continued sprinting towards Tor.

"HUMPH"

Tor threw a punch straight down towards Daniel.

Daniel didn't stop running as the fist bore down towards him.

*BOOM!*

Tor's fist striked down and burrowed into the floor creating a huge crater, debris and rocks flying in all directions.

Everything then went silent… until a few moments later, Tor's arm started to budge.

"Aaaargh!!"

A groan came from where Tor's fist was at.

Tor suddenly started to feel a bit weightless, he was abruptly lifted off the ground. He glanced towards his fist and saw with shock, Daniel tightly gripping his knuckles with a smirk on his face.

"Haaa!!"

Suddenly Daniel with a firm hold on the giant's knuckle swung with force, lifting the giant and flipping him into the air.

*BOOOOOM!!!*

The Giant was smashed into the floor creating a massive crater, cracks spreaded everywhere around the giant.

"Hahahaha!! How does it feel to be tossed, Tor?"

Daniel laughed as he stared at the giant that was laying dazed in the giant crater.

Daniel lowered his headphones and sat down exhaustedly on the floor.

"HAHAHA!!" Well done young warrior!!"

The Giant said laughing uncontrollably. Tor slowly lifted himself up into a sitting position.

Daniel stared at the Giant and noticed how there was some blood as well on the edge of his lips.

The two stared at each other and then both of them started laughing.

"Hahahaha you like sh*t, Tor!!"

"You too, young warrior!! Hahahaha!!"

The two continued to laugh as they rested on the floor, and completely forgot about the young giants that have been staring by the side the whole time.

Finally the two finished resting and stood up.

As they headed towards the group of young giants, Daniel stared curiously and a bit confused at the young Giants who have been quite calm throughout the fight. Tor noticed Daniel's puzzled expression staring at the young giants.

"Ah, you might be wondering why the young'uns have been quiet this whole time, you see, our people have this unwritten rule in where if there is ever a spar or fight between two individuals we will maintain quiet and will not interfere in the fight unless one of the individuals asks for help, as we believe it is impolite to intrude on other people's fight."

"Wait, so when I interrupted your fight with the Ifrits I was being rude?"

Daniel chuckled.

"Hahaha!! Yes and no, as it was a battle of course it was necessary for there to be communication and assistance, however you appeared out of nowhere, and although you were not intruding on a battle between two individuals, you did interfere with a battle between two groups. But thanks to your intrusion the misunderstanding between us and the Ifrits managed to be cleared up."

Tor said with a grateful look.

"Haha no problem dude."

Daniel said as he sticked out his fist.

Tor stared at Daniel with confusion.

"Ah, this is called a fist bump, it is a ritualistic way to say that we are friends."

Daniel said explaining it to the giant what a fist bump is.

"F-friends?"

The giant trembled a bit, he then extended his large arm towards Daniel.

*The sound of two fists bumping* |4|

"Haha yeah man, friends!"

Daniel said smiling.

"Hahahaha!!! Friends! Hey young'uns let us go to Big Mama's Canteen and celebrate!!"

Tor said laughing cheerfully.

"Yeah!!!"

All the young giants cheered together. All except two. |5|

"W-wait!! Sir what about my evaluation?!"

Peter, the young arrogant giant from before yelled out nervously.

"Hahaha…. Peter. I will be talking with the other Guardians about your poor attitude, and we will decide on whether you still have the eligibility to be become a Guardian of the next generation."

This time Tor laughed a bit sarcastically at someone, and his happy mood vanished replaced by stony expression.

The young giant paled a bit, and turned to look at Daniel, he suddenly did a ninety degree bow towards Daniel.

"I am terribly sorry for my poor temper, Mister Conbolt."

"It's alright. I understand, you were merely feeling proud of the achievements that your people have made. However, let me give you an advice, don't always be prideful of the achievements of your people, try making yourself proud through your own achievements. Also, don't call me Mr. Conbolt… Just Daniel is fine."

Daniel said with a faint smile.

"Y-yes. Thank you, Mr. Con- Daniel!"

The young giant said gratefully.

"Hahaha!! That is some solid advice Daniel!!"

"Alright fellas let's gooo!"

Tor yelled happily as he lead the group outside the Dome once more.
