35 Return and New Mission. (Chapter 34)

Back at the Magic Council HQ...

In dimly lit room the Magic Council members were arguing over what to do with Daniel.

"Since we have already offended him let's just kill him!"

A tall middle aged man with dark shaded glasses said.

"I agree! If we let him live, he will hold a grudge against us for imprisoning him! We should get rid of him!"

A tall elderly woman with sand blonde hair said.

"No! If we do that we could become enemies with Fairy Tail and we might lose a powerful ally!"

Yajima said angrily.

"I agree with Yajima. If we try killing him, it would backfire on us and he could escape!"

Siegrain said seriously.

"Escape? Impossible. He is merely an S Class Wizard."

Leiji, the tall middle aged man with the dark shaded glasses said with confidence and arrogance.

"Yes. Escape. When he requested to speak with me I was curious to see how strong he truly is so I tested him by releasing my Etherion pressure on him to see how well he would be able to handle it. When my Etherion pressure hit him, he released his own Etherion pressure which was impossible since he still had the Anti-Magic Handcuffs on him so I continued to increase my pressure but so did he. In the end I had to stop before we ended destroying the prison."

"So tell me. Do you still believe that the "Void Shredder" is someone who we can measure with the same strength as normal S Class Wizards?"

Siegrain said staring seriously at Leiji.

"Ugh"

Leiji closed his mouth and gritted his teeth in frustration. Belno, the sandy blond hair old lady also stayed quiet.

"If what Siegrain says is true then we must not offend Daniel Conbolt!"

An old man with a large bushy beard that is knotted into a bun on both sides of his beard said sternly.

"In that case?"

Org finally spoke up.

"It is decided. We will tell the public that Daniel Conbolt did the community a service by ridding it of a corrupted official."

Crawford Seam said solemnly.

Back at Fairy Tail…

The whole Guild's atmosphere was full of tension and nervousness. Natsu was sitting by the counter laying on his arms depressed meanwhile Happy just sat on the counter with a downcasted face and Lucy just sat next to Natsu staring down at the counter. Everyone was in a depressed feeling.

"Erza you should probably sit down."

Levi said worriedly to the red haired woman in armor pacing back and forth.

"Damn it! I leave for a mission and this idiot just goes and kills an official!"

Erza said angrily clenching her fist.

"Gramps said he will go and ask Yajima for help since he is in the Magic Council. All we can do now is wait."

Gray said staring at Erza.

"Screw this! I am tired of waiting!"

Natsu said slamming his fists on the counter table.

"Lets go and rescue Daniel from the Magic Council with force!"

Natsu said releasing flames from his mouth enraged.

"Really? You are going to disobey the order that I told you?"

A voice suddenly said from the entrance.

Everyone in the guild turned their eyes towards the source of the voice.

When Natsu saw who it was, he beamed from ear to ear with a smile.

Standing at the entrance with his hands in his pockets was Daniel, who was smiling so brilliantly that all the girls in the Guild felt like they were going to melt.

'Woops! I forgot my smile had that effect on girls.'

Daniel thought to himself helplessly.

"Daniel!"

"Hm?"

Daniel turned around and saw Erza with a light blush and faint smile of relief.

"Oh! Welcome back Erza!"

Daniel waving at Erza.

"Mn! Y-you too!"

Erza said a bit with a faint smile and slight blush.

Lucy's gaped at the scene of Erza being bashful in front of Daniel. After Daniel was arrested, Erza arrived at Fairy Tail carrying a huge Horn from a beast she has slain, she looked very intimidating. When they greeted each other Erza gave the image of a strong and scary but beautiful woman. But right now that image was completely destroyed and instead she looked like a lovestruck girl.

"Danieeel!!!"

After Erza's and Daniel's dialogue everyone in the Guild unfroze and came rushing towards Daniel.

"How was it? Did they do anything to you?"

"Did you kick their as*es and escape?"

"Did you meet some of the Council Members?"

"Welcome back Boy!"

Makarov as always was sitting on the counter with a mug full of beer in his hand.

Suddenly

"BRROOTHERR!!!"

Daniel heard the voice of Romeo.

He slowly turned around and saw Romeo standing with Macao.

Daniel turned to face them and with a smile he lifts his hand.

"Yo Romeo! Pops, I'm back!"

Tears began to form in both Romeo's and Macao's eyes and a smile adorned their faces.

"Welcome back Brother!"

"Yeah!"

Daniel answer back with a grin from ear to ear.

That evening Fairy Tail threw a huge party in celebration of Daniel's return. The whole place became boisterous and full festivities, everyone was incredibly happy for Daniel's return that they even threw to the back of their mind the question on how Daniel managed to avoid being Incarcerated by the Magic Council.

Of course all except for the Guild Master.

<Makarov : I am happy that Daniel was freed and forgiven, but, why did they forgive him so easily? The only person I could ask for help from within the Council was Yajima, however that is only one person. Did Yajima convince the others that easily?>

The Guild Master held his chin with his hand and stared at Daniel with a thoughtful expression.

The next day everyone in the Guild were tired from partying all night long. Many were strewn across the floor sleeping, some on the counter and others on the tables except for Romeo and Cana.

"Yaaawn~"

A figure appeared by the entrance wearing black joggers and a grey hoodie. Last night Daniel decided to leave the party midway as he wanted to wake up early so he could go ahead and choose his next mission. Ever since the 'System' has told him the purpose of its existence and what it's intent on making Daniel face of against a God; He has been wanting to upgrade the System to be able to unlock other features. He has tried everything to unlock any hidden features the 'System' may have, however nothing has worked so far. That is why he has decided to upgrade the entire 'System' and unlock various functions that could help him for his future fight against this God.

"Good morning everyone."

Daniel said a bit groggily.

"Good morning brother!"

Romeo said turning around to find Daniel with a very sleepy face.

"Good morning."

Cana responded with a flushed face probably from the drinking.

"Well you woke up early didn't ya?"

Daniel said rubbing Romeo's head.

"Brother….are you going to go on a mission?"

Romeo said with concern.

"Yeah!"

He answered back with a smile.

"T-then take me with-

*SMACK*

"Nope."

Daniel smacked Romeo on the head before he could finish his sentence.

"Owowow Why not?!"

Romeo rubbed his head painfully.

"Because you are still a kid!"

Daniel said as he started walking up the stairs on to the second level where only S Class Wizards can go to get S Class missions.

"Ehhh?! But you were also a kid when you started taking missions!"

Romeo said indignantly.

"Romeo don't forget that your big brother doesn't take on normal missions anymore. He is taking on S Class missions that not even veteran mages like me or even Natsu can take on yet."

Cana said.

"T-that-"

"Grow stronger! Then. You can start coming along with me on missions!"

Daniel said while ripping off a Mission paper off the board and walking back down.

Daniel started heading to the entrance and pumped his fist in the air.

"Mm!"

Romeo nodded and pumped his fist in the air as he stared at Daniel's back with burning determination.

<Cana : *Sigh…* He is just like me in the past. Chasing after someone yet only being able to stare at their back. Except. He at least, is determined.>

Cana stared at Romeo.
