23 Chapter 23 (AUTHOR VS. EDITOR!!)

They then got a carriage to drop them off near the Guild.

Daniel helped Macao walk and Natsu, Happy, and Lucy walked along them.

As they neared the Guild's entrance, they found a dark purple-haired boy is sitting by the stairs.

"Dad!"

Romeo ran to Macao and hugged him tightly, with tears in his eyes.

"Romeo?"

Macao said, a bit shocked.

Macao let go of Daniel's shoulder and hugged Romeo.

"I'm sorry, son"

Macao said as he hugged Romeo.

"It's alright, dad! I know how much you want to get stronger, but I think that you should leave that to big brother. Big brother is a powerful S Ranked Wizard, after all!"

Romeo said smiling with tears still in his eyes.

"Yeah... I will!"

Macao said, as he let go of Romeo. He stood up and stared at Daniel proudly.

Daniel saw what happened and stared at Macao.

"Let me grow stronger in your steed, Dad! I promise that I will protect my family in Fairy Tail until my last breath!"

Daniel said, solemnly.

"I know you will, Kiddo!"

Macao said, as he smiled.

When Daniel came back to the Guild, everyone cheered over the fact that Macao came back safely.

"Good to see you back in one piece, old friend."

Wakaba said, smiling with a smoke pipe in his mouth.

"Hahahaha, good to be back too!"

Macao said laughing.

"Macao!"

Suddenly the Guild Master said looking at Macao seriously.

Suddenly the joyous atmosphere turned tense.

"I'm glad you are safe."

Makarov said smiling.

The tense mood then disappeared.

"It's good to be back, Guild Master!"

Macao said, smiling at the Guild Master.

That afternoon, everyone drank and partied to celebrate Macao's safe return.

Meanwhile, in Era, the town where the Magic Council have their headquarters…

"Those reckless fools from Fairy Tail have done it again!"

"This time they destroyed an entire port!"

A scratchy and old voice said.

"What is wrong with them?!"

A gruffy and solemn voice said.

"I'm actually quite fond of those dimwits, and their Laissez-faire attitude.

A young voice said, if Daniel were here he would've known who this was. It was Siegrain, the alter-ego of Jellal from Earth Land!

"They may behave like fools but, we mustn't forget that they are a capable bunch."

An old man with a weird hat, a height similar to Makarov, bushy eyebrows and sunken cheeks said.

"Yes, that is true. They, especially, have a lot of S Ranked Wizards as well."

"We should leave them be, for now. After all, if it weren't for those fools, think how boring this world would be."

Siegrain said with a faint smirk.

Macao decided to take a long break and chill at the Guild Hall with Romeo and the other guild members.

Daniel decided to take a short break from the S ranked missions too and just flirt with Cana.

(A.N : This part is 'past-tense' meaning it happened in the past.)(EN: Anyone old enough to read this would know what past-tense means… Could it be you are aiming at younger kids?)

Daniel didn't know what caused Cana to drink, so he wasn't able to stop her from becoming a drunk. He tried getting Cana to stop drinking however he wasn't able to stop her addiction. He didn't want Cana to get health issues because of drinking. He confronted her and told her before the risks of drinking, however she explained how Magicians don't receive the same illnesses and diseases as non-magicians do, so Daniel let her be.

(A.N : Back to the present.)

"Hey Ca-

"Big brother Daniel!!"

Natsu said, yelling at Daniel, interrupting his flirting.

"What?"

Daniel said a bit irritated.

"I plan on going to another mission with Lucy tomorrow, let's all go together, again!"

Natsu said smiling.

Ever since Natsu learned that Daniel was a Dragon Slayer like him, and how Daniel was really strong, he admired him and considered him as an older brother. He always followed Daniel since little and, when Daniel started to take on missions ,Natsu always tried following him, however, Daniel took on missions that were dangerous (A.N : Before he became S Ranked. Normal Missions that were somewhat dangerous basically.) so he would always stop Natsu or lose him so that he wouldn't follow.

Daniel taught Natsu how to read and write along with Erza, so Natsu considered him even more as an older brother that he always looked up to.

(A.N : Some of you may be like; huh? How did he know the language? Well he bought it in the Unlimited Fantasy System with some QP soo...)

"*Sigh…*"

"Fine... "

Daniel decided to join him, since he knew how much Natsu wants to go on missions with him.

"~Oh, yeah!"

Natsu cheered along with Happy.

The next morning, Daniel woke up early to check his Stats, think about what to do with his Quest Points and which World to go to next. Since the energy in which he needs to give the System is 'coming soon', he should decide what the next world he goes to is.

Daniel rubbed his head, frustratedly.

'Maybe I should think of which World I'm going to next and then choose what I should get.'

'I'll think about it when I get the energy needed.'

Daniel stopped thinking about it and went to go brush his teeth and get some breakfast.

"Bye, Dad! Romeo!"

Daniel said as he left.

"Bye, Big Brother!"

"Take care, kiddo!"

Macao and Romeo who were eating breakfast at the table waved at him.

Daniel walked towards where Lucy is living at. However although he is walking casually in reality it looks as if he is running, this is the result of him having his Agility really high, just him casually walking is a normal person running. He sometimes controls it to look like he is normally walking however he decided to just use his prowess a bit more casually this morning.

He then arrives by Lucy's apartment entrance and leans against the wall as he waited for Natsu, Happy and Lucy to come out. He knows that in the Original Anime Natsu always went to Lucy's room and sometimes even slept there.

"Natsu, jeez!! Next time, tell me if you are coming over!!"

Lucy complained to Natsu as she walked out of the entrance, along with Natsu and Happy.

"But we are now partners! And it's normal for partners to go sleep in each others place."

Natsu said as if his logic made sense.

"Oh, Uncle Daniel~"

Happy said, noticing Daniel leaning against the wall.

"I'm not an Uncle!!"

Daniel said angrily as he joined them.

"Big bro you came!"

Natsu said excitedly.

"Of course, you idiot! You invited me!"

Daniel said, smacking Natsu on the head. Natsu was sent to the ground face down.

"Good morning Daniel."

Lucy said to Daniel.

"Morning, Lucy!"

Daniel said as he smiled.

Lucy then lost herself in a daze staring at Daniels brilliant smile like all the girls who Daniel has passed by in his 'walk'.

Natsu lifted himself up with a swollen ball on his head.

"Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you Lucy. Daniel is coming with us in this mission!"

Natsu said excited.

"Wait, seriously?! I don't mean to be rude… but, isn't Daniel an S Ranked Wizard? So, shouldn't he be taking harder missions?"

Lucy said shocked and puzzled.

"Yea, but this lil fool wants me to accompany him for this mission, so why not?"

Daniel said turning his head away.

Lucy stared at Daniel with a smile.

"~Natsu, you need to tell Daniel what the mission is!"

Happy reminded Natsu.

"Oh, yeah!"

Natsu then stood up.

"We are doing this mission!"

Natsu said as he took out the paper with the mission.

Daniel already knew what it was about so he just skimmed through it and acted as if he were reading it.

"Oh, interesting, and I'm guessing that Lucy will be acting as the bait for the mission?"

Daniel said, staring at Lucy.

"Yup!"

Natsu said, nodding.

"Ahh well, I have to.. After all, I am really cute."

Lucy said sticking her tongue out and and doing the peace sign with her two fingers.

Daniel could see her cleavage as she bent down for that posture. He hasn't 'relieved' himself since he left his home world plus since his Level and 'Constitution' has increased his sensitivity and his hormones are extremely high. (A.N : (＾་།＾) *NOSE BLEED* ) (EN: This is the author's attempt at comedy… Please study it. Absorb it all in.)

He quickly turned around with a slight blush on his face.

"~Lucy is so full of herself~ She thinks she is cute~"

Happy said with eyes like : -.-

"What did you say, you dumb cat!?"

Lucy said angrily at Happy.

"Huehuehue" (EN: That, is one retarded laugh)

Happy just laughed.

"Okay, let's go!"

Natsu said as pumped his fist to the sky.

Everyone else yelled, pumping their fists in the air too.
