15 Chapter 15 - (The Three Siblings) (Part 5)

'Dammit! Where could they be?'

A shadow could be seen rushing through the branches of the trees. (A.N : Like Naruto!) (EN: Like a weeb!)

ROOOOOAAAAARRRR!!!!!

'A monster? How?! Isn't this part of the forest next to the village safe?'

I start heading in the direction of the roar.

As I got to the source, I find a huge 3 meter tall life form with a cow's head and a humanoid torso. In one of its hands is Lisanna screaming. It bellowed towards the sky.

'A Minotaur! What is one doing all the way over here?!'

In the forest of Magnolia, Daniel would sometimes inadvertently encounter this particular type of creature when he first came to this World.

"Mooooo—!"

"Mira-nee—!"

"Lisanna!"

The minotaurs loud mooing, Lisanna's cry for help and Mirajane's distraught shout all mixed together. Daniel's pupils that are deep as the stars shrank as he sped up to the maximum speed he could reach.

But even so, at his current speed, it would still take a brief moment before he can reach the trio.

During this time frame, should the minotaur even just tighten its hold on Lisanna's, the cute and young little girl would suffer death from getting crushed.

"(Dragon Slayer Art) Void Dragon : Void Dragon ROOOAAAAAAARRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Dark matter with glittery stars was shot from Daniels mouth similar to Natsu's Dragon Roar, except it looked like black fire made of dark matter and glittery stars in it.

The Breath attack was concentrated, so it would it hit the Minotaur and not Lisanna.

*Wooosh!*

The Minotaur was hit and the left side of its body was gone. Lisanna was on the right side so she didn't receive any damage at all.

'Good! I manage to save her in time! Crap my eyes are getting blurry. System what is going on?'

[Host is Currently experiencing Energy Depletion. Similar to Jellal's Etherion/Mana Depletion, host can also experience Energy Depletion. Host may wonder, 'How? Didn't I have no Energy When I was a Normal Human?' Simple, let me explain it with an example!

Example : (Theoretical) - Host has 100 Energy Points Host then forcefully uses them all and 15 more therefore Host is left with -15 Energy Point which will cause the Host to immediately lose consciousness!]

[Does Host Now Understand?]

'Yes. System, can you tell me how many Energy Points do I have left?'

[Energy Capacity : -1]

'So that's why I haven't lost consciousness! And I am only feeling sleepy.'

As I was having a conversation with the System, I rushed over to Lisanna. She was struggling to get out the dead minotaurs grasp. I helped her out of the minotaur as Mira and Elfman run towards us.

"Lisanna!"

When she shouted that, another calm voice called out from the other side.

"Over here."

Mirajane looked over.

At the other side of where the minotaur lies dead is Daniel holding the still trembling Lisanna.

Mira instantly understood that the one who killed this minotaur and destroyed half of its body is someone who is of the same age as her and who, she until sometime ago, looked down on!

Recalling the scene where the minotaur got half of its body destroyed instantly, replayed constantly in Mirajane and Elfman's head. The two froze in place and couldn't say a word for half a day.

Daniel had the same expression but it's not because of the fact that he killed the minotaur but because of what he saw looking at Mirajane.

'She has actually awakened her Magic!'

He kept staring at one of her hand with a shocked face.

Mirajane's arm which should have looked like a human has now warped into something that looks like it belonged to a wild beast or demonic beast. It is giving off a dark aura that can chill anyone's heart.

Noticing his gaze, Mira's face shifted and she seemed to have remembered how she looked like as she hid the demonic looking arm behind her. A frightened expression appeared on her face.

The place fell into silence.

'Good thing we managed to find a cave for the night since the Minotaur appeared. There could be more Monsters out there. With my Strength, I could at most keep myself alive. As for these three, if I took them back to the Village, it would be difficult for them to survive the trip, also, why the heck are they so tense? After, I saw Mira's arm they have been sort of distant and cold. She also put on a coat to hide her arm, but why?'

"Hey, are you guys ok? Why are all of you so tense?"

I asked puzzled.

Mirajane just stared at Daniel with a complicated look in her eyes.

<(Mirajane's POV) : Ever since we left 'that' place, we have been trying to survive. As the big sister, I have to provide for my little brother and sister. I managed to get information about this village from a conversation a pair of Magicians from Fairy Tail were having. They were talking about how the son a Magician named Macao was taking on this mission. At first, I thought this 'son' should be older than me. However, they started talking about how they thought he was too young. I thought that if he was young, he should be pretty weak, so I could probably take this job from him and claim the reward for myself. So, we headed to the village. We managed to find him eating so, I walked up to him. Once he turned his head around, I could feel my heart beating so fast I managed to control myself and not blush.

I told him that he didn't need to do this job anymore and that it was ours. He just said "Is that so?"After he said that, slowly, pressure started to fall onto me. It got so heavy that I almost couldn't breathe and I could smell a heavy thick scent of blood. I felt truly scared for my life for the first time.

However, after a few seconds, the pressure disappeared. He just laughed and smiled at me amusedly, his brilliant smile dazed me for a couple of seconds. While I was stunned, he, then, rushed out. I realized then that he was strong. Although he was strong, he didn't hurt me or ridicule me for trying to take his job.

I thought to myself 'He isn't so bad.' He even saved my little sister which I am eternally grateful for. Now that he has seen my arm will he think different about me? He doesn't seem scared though, in fact he doesn't seem to care about it? >

"A-aren't you scared?"

Mira said with a low voice.

"Scared? Why should I be scared?"

Daniel said with a confused face.

"Because of my cursed arm!"

Mira said a bit exasperated.

Daniel's face then turned to someone who just realized something

'Oooh, Don't tell me she doesn't know that this just part of her Magic!'

"Mira, you don't know?"

Daniel asked bewildered

"Know what?"

Mira said, just as confused.

"That arm of yours is not cursed. You awakened your Magic!"

"No, its a Curse. I once touched a demon that was terrorizing our orphanage, then, my arm turned to this. I managed to defeat the demon with my arm but my arm has stayed like this since then."

Mira said dispiritedly.

"You really are dumb aren't you."

Daniel said with a mocking face.

"You-"

"What would've happened to that orphanage if you didn't have that arm? What would've happened to your brother and little sister?"

Daniel said seriously.

Meanwhile Mira just stood there shocked.

<(Mirajane's POV) : True, if I didn't receive this arm, I wouldn't have been able to defeat the Demon and it would've probably ended up destroying the orphanage and my Little Brother and Sister, could've….>

Mira shivered at the thought.

"Mira, I won't lie to you, and say that I know what it feels like to fear one's own power. However, I will tell you that I will do whatever it takes to protect those around me and those that I love, even if that means becoming a Demon myself!!"

Daniel said that with a determined and steely look in his eyes.

Meanwhile, Mira continued to be shocked. She could see he was telling the truth with determination in his voice and the conviction in his eyes.

"So tell me Mira do you still think that having this kind of power is evil?"

Daniel said as he stared into Mira's eyes.

"No!"

Mira said with a small blushed face and a determined face.

"Hahahaha!"

Daniel started laughing.

"Why are you laughing you bastard!"

Mira said with a hint of anger.

"It's cause you look too cute!"

Daniel said while smiling.

"C-c..cute!?"

Mira said a little flustered

Daniel just continued laughing.

"Ahh.. Anyways Mira I think I know the Magic that you have awakened."

Daniel spoke turning serious.

"Ah?"

Mira just stared at him confused.

"What? I told you, didn't I? That arm of yours isn't a curse, it's the result of your Magic awakening!"

Daniel said.

"But what kind of Magic is it? A Demonic one?"

Mira said confused while she stared down at her arm.

"No, it's actually a very amazing Magic it's called [Take-over Magic.] It's a Magic that allows you to receive the power of beasts, animals and magic beasts and use it as one's own magic. A few rare people can take the energy of special beings like demons. Mira, you are one those rare people who can take Energy from special Beings! I'm curious though, how are you able to hide your arm from others?"

Daniel asked confused.

"Oh, we managed to find a special magic tool that could cast an illusion on my arm making it look normal."

"Interesting…"

Daniel said curiously.

"Can I see your hand?"

Daniel asked extending his hand out.

Although Mira has come to terms with her arm, she still didn't like the feeling of have a scary looking arm. She especially didn't want others to see it. She however still stretched her arm towards Daniel.

"Nn."

She nodded.

As Daniel grabbed her hand, she blushed this was the first time someone from the opposite sex has grabbed her hand. However Daniel didn't notice her blush, if he had, he would've probably teased her a little.

(EN: You know, some people say age is just a number. You know what else is just a number? 911.)

As Daniel was holding her scaly, hand he started studying it.

'So this is the magical tool that she used.'

On one of her finger was a ring it looked like any common silver ring.

'System Observe!'

['Ding']

[Level : 20]

[Ring Of Illusion : A Ring that can cast an illusion over any object or part of the human body!]

[Status : Broken]

"Hmm? Mira how did this break?"

"Oh, when I used my arm to fight against the Minotaur, it dissolved the Illusion. After that, I couldn't use it again."

"I see."

'Ah, this could have probably been useful to me in the future. Oh well, it's Mira's and I could probably get something stronger in the [Unlimited Fantasy Shop].'

"Okay, Mira! all you need to do in order for your hand to go to normal is for you to believe it yourself!"

'At least that's how I think [Take-over Magic] works. I hope.'

Mira closed her eyes as her hands slowly started to go back to normal.

As she opened them again and she saw her pearly, white hand once more.

"It worked!"

Exclaimed Mira as her eyes slowly started to become watery.

"Mira-nee!! Your arm it's back!"

Said Lisanna who was listening this whole time silently with Elfman.

"Thank you Big Brother Daniel!"

Said Lisanna with a cute smile on her face.

"Thank you Big bro Daniel!"

Elfman said with tears as well.

"T-thank you."

Mira said with a low voice while she was blushing.

"Hahaha no problem!"

Daniel said with a big smile in which both Lisanna and Mira both fell into a daze.

"Big Brother Daniel is so handsome!"

Said Lisanna with a smile.

"Nn."

Mira nodded subconsciously.

"Oh really?"

Daniel cheekily.

Mira then woke up and turn beet red.

"Hahaha!"

This time Lisanna, Daniel and Elfman laughed together.
