12 Chapter 12 - (The 3 Siblings) (Part 2)
'So this how Mirajane was like before. Huh, in comparison to the nice and ladylike future Mirajane, this one really does give off a delinquent vibe.
"My job is now yours?"
I said with a confused face, but inwardly I was smirking.
'Haa nobody was ever able to tame Mirajane when she was young, but now that I'm here…. Hehehe.' (EN: Stop right there, CRIMINAL SCUM! You have violated the law! Pay the court a fine or serve your sentence!)
"I'm sorry but I'm unable to fully comprehend what you said just now. Could you please elaborate further?"
"I think I made it pretty clear just now!"
Mirajane stood arms akimbo as she stared Daniel down. Her exquisite facial features that rival Erza in that it gives off a different style like you are being destroyed by the look of disdain on her face.
"Moreover, look at you. I don't think you have the ability to solve this spirit matter. That's why you should learn to take a hint and let us do the job!"
At this point, Mirajane's words are way past picking a fight or being haughty. She's clearly out to screw Daniel over.
"Oh, Really?"
I said softly.
Slowly I start to release this dense Killing Aura that I've earned from killing beasts when I came to this world. Trust me, it wasn't easy earning those Quest Points so the amount of Magical Beasts I've killed should be over +1000. Of course I only released a miniscule amount I didn't want to scare them off after all. I tried to control so that only Mira would feel it.
Slowly Mira starts to feel pressure and fear fills her eyes.
Daniel sees this and thought he might have gone overboard 'Ahh sh*t, better not over do it.'
"Mira-nee!"
Lisanna seems to have not felt anything. Seeing Lisanna shaking and Daniel's eyes becoming cold, she grabbed Mira's hand and bowed her head down towards Daniel.
"I'm sorry! I'm deeply sorry!"
"Please don't get angry."
Elfman said while looking very unsteady.
"We really don't mean any harm."
"Hahahaha I was just messing with you kids. You brats really are cute!"

I said laughing with tears in my eyes.
Meanwhile, Mira just blushed in embarrassment and anger filled her eyes. However, this time, she didn't say anything.
Meanwhile, Lisanna just grumbles.
"But you're a kid too!"
I then turned serious.
"Look guys, to be honest, I have no Idea what is going on and this mission is full of the unknown so it would be best if you guys leave this to me, ok?"
Before they could say anything, I ran off and headed towards the forest.
"Damn it, this guy!"
Mira said in a low voice.
Meanwhile Lisanna just stares at the direction Daniel left and says in a voice only she and Mira can hear.
"I think he was kind of handsome."
However Mirajane doesn't retort and instead blushes a little.

"Okay, let's find out what's going on this forest."
I said to myself.

"F**K! Where the hell is this thing!!"
I've spent the whole f**king day, going through the forest, and yet, I couldn't find sh**!
It's night now and the whole forest is really dark. With my good senses though, I can still walk around normally. Still though, I'd rather not be here at night with the creepy phenomenons going around. I've always been afraid of Scary Movies back at Home I could never watch one without having nightmares at night. Gramps told me to come back if the Mission is to difficult, but I don't want to go back home with my first Mission a failure, and if Erza completes hers and I don't I would have nowhere to hide my face. So I grit my teeth and decide to finish this mission if I end up facing ghosts I'll just ask for another [Loan] from the System. Although I promised not to risk my life, If I don't complete this mission it's very likely that Mira, Lisanna and Elfman will try this mission which would be suicidal, so I have to complete this.
"Dammit!" I kicked a tree in frustration.
"Uuuu…."
I suddenly hear sobbing.'OMG'
I slowly turn around and stare in the direction the sobbing is coming from.
"Uuu…"
*Gulp* I stare at the direction the sobbing is coming from with a hint of fear. I steel my nerves and start walking in that direction.
The crying sound became clearer, making Daniel jolt back to his senses.
Daniel noticed two things.
One, the sound is very tender. Preliminary conjecture would suggest the owner of this voice is not older than 10 and it is a girl.
Two, as the crying noise slowly approached Daniel, he could also hear the gradual approach of the sounds of footsteps. These should be the source's footsteps. It's not hard to imagine that the owner is walking and crying at the same time.
"Footsteps?"
Daniel tilted his head in bewilderment.
"Isn't it a ghost? Do ghosts walk as well? To the extent that one could hear footsteps?"
While puzzled, Daniel continued walking in the direction of the Sobbing.
One couldn't tell how much time had passed, but a small figure slowly appeared from deep within the forest in front of him and came into Daniel's view.
It's a little girl.
Her age should be around 7 or 8 years old. She looked younger than Daniel by about 4-5 years old.
The girl had distinct bright blue hair that one could observe even in dim setting such as the forest. She wore a simple thin shirt, it must have been really cold walking around with something like that on.
The girl seems like she's not aware of this, not that she's shivering from the cold as well. She kept her head lowered and kept crying while rubbing her eyes. She didn't stop advancing as well.
"Uuu… Grandeeney… where are you… it's so dark around here…. I am so scared…"
Hearing those heart rending sobs of her's and seeing her walk over while crying, Daniel is really confused now.

I stared at the little Wendy. Meanwhile, she kept walking with her hands covering her eyes as tears fell. My heart softened as I see her crying all alone in the forest. I start walking to her slowly.
As I neared her, she looked back at him with a terrified expression. She hugs her knees and curls up into a ball facing the opposite direction. I just sigh helplessly.
"Wendy you don't have to be scared."
I said softly.
She suddenly trembled.
I smiled warmly at her and softly said (EN: ♪Oh, don't you dare look back. Just keep your eyes on me. I said "You're holding back". She said "SHUT UP AND DANCE WITH ME!"♪
"Come here, I won't hurt you."
Seeing his gentle expression, Wendy's fear was reduced significantly. Her pale face also had its colour back. She still had a little bit of terror left on her face as she stared at his outstretched hand. He could see her petite body trembling.
I just stretched out my out patiently waited with a smile.
Wendy observed Daniel's action. It seems she had made up her mind that the other party won't harm her. Still a bit afraid, she placed her quivering hand on Daniel's palm.
The moment they touched each other, Daniel and Wendy felt different things.
Daniel felt that the tiny hand in his palm is too icy cold, it's as though she has lost all the warmth a human body should have. Daniel is quite surprised by this.
Wendy felt the complete opposite. The hand enveloping her small palm is warm, so warm that a small yearning in her heart came into existence subconsciously.
Thus, Wendy without thinking too much about it, clenched her hand as if she's grabbing at a lifeline. She tightened her hold on Daniel's hand.
