1 Chapter one - Something always goes wrong

Liam sat at the back of his class looking out the window , entertaining himself by watching the leaves fall from the trees . His professor was droning on about global warming and the effect it was going to have .

While Liam agreed with the importance of this class he just could not bring himself to focus . He was tired after last night , staying up late to finish an essay for this very class .

Suddenly a loud bang resonated through the room , the alarms from the cars in the parking lot activated making his ears hurt.

when he opened his eyes he could see a hole in the roof and scorch marks on the floor , lightning had struck the building he was in . He got up to leave as his entire class was screaming and running out of the building , Liam remind calm however because he knew the lightning was not coming back after all lightning does not strike the same place twice at least not normally .

Once they left the building the professor did a headcount , finding no one missing he a dressed the class

"Everyone please remain calm , with these unforeseen circumstances classes are to be cancelled for the day and you will all be allowed to leave in a few minutes ."

Nobody responded or looked happy , they were all stunned not just because of the event but also because the day was warm and their was not a single cloud in the sky , the lightning came seemingly out of nowhere .

Liam sighed , he had wasted his time staying up late for that essay . He looked around for Amanda and noticed her pink bandanna in the crowd .

Amanda is his twin sister , they shared the same deep blue eyes and black hair , their skin was a nice tan color from being out in the sun a lot . however she was a girl and wore her hair long while he kept his short. that was really one of the few ways you could tell them apart , that and their style of clothing .

On his approach Amanda looked relieved , she had been terribly scared but seeing her brother lessened that greatly .

"you okay " Liam decided to feign concern for her though he had already decided she was fine .

"Of course , looks like everyone is okay , only the building got damaged , guess both our computation class and global ethics will be moved up to another building for a while "

"Yeah I guess" Liam had started walking towards the proffessor at the start of the conversation his sister following him as expected and now they had gotten to him . Their professor was a 40+ year old bald man , he wore some round glasses and now that they were in front of him he peered at them with his hazel eyes.

"yes?" He asked

"Can we leave now ?"

"sign this sheet first and then you can head out , come back as usual tomorrow "

they signed the sheet and they headed for the gate of the school .

Suddenly no later then them exiting the gate the school building suddenly erupted in flames ,

The heat was almost unbearable , any closer and they would surely have suffered burns . a piece of the building suddenly hit him in the head and he collapsed passing out immediately .
