2 The Strange Black Mud

The Soldiers went in and so Raul and Christian too while sneakily following.

A man with Black hair and had a scar on his face ordered the troop to scatter. Raul and Christian hid behind a large crater.

"We are so dead right now Christian!" Raul complained. He turned to look at Christian because Christian didn't respond. His face was sullen when he saw Christian was plugging a chord on a electric slot.

The Map-like technology that Christian carried changed its contents. It became more accurate and have more details than before.

"What are you doing?" Raul asked in confusion. "Do you want us to get punished?!" He raised his voice in agitation.

Christian placed a finger on his lips wanting Raul to shut up. Christian was trying to hack into the system. Raul knew that hacking into the system is difficult but he was surprised that Christian managed to. He remembered the two person in the Monitoring Room, he sighed.

Christian got in successfully. He grabbed a pair of clear glasses and wore it. He push the button on the side of the Glasses.

Series of informations appeared. These informations were the same as in the Pad that Christian was holding.

" Link Process completed. Informations sent." These words appeared in front of Christian's eyes.

He gave the Pad-like computer to Raul.

"Here, have this. So that you could see what I could see." He smile after he said that. Raul just nodded.

But when he touched the Pad, he remembered something else. Its like he had seen this before. Christian knew that Raul was familiar about the Pad.

" That is the one that won First Place on the 34th Tech Contest in Earth." He said trying keep it low.

Raul's eyes widened. "What?!"

Christian was shocked when Raul yelled. He placed his hand to Raul's mouth and cover it up.

"I told you to keep your voice down" Christian whispered sternly.

Raul smiled bitterly. He felt sorry and nervous.

All of the soldiers heard it but they thought it was just a soldier sneezing. There is one soldier who didn't think like that though. She heard the word 'What' clearly.

She looked to a Giant Crater not far away from her. She went forward to it.

On Christian's Very High Tech glasses, A Blue dot was coming at their direction. He peeked and saw a Blue-haired girl coming. He jerked and told Raul to hide.

" Let's go this way." Christian pointed to a direction that leads to another large crater. They tiptoed and got there without anyone noticing.

The Blue-haired girl looked behind the Crater but there is no one there.

"I was sure that there is someone here." The Blue-haired girl said in confusion. Because she had incorrect her judgement, she went back to her post.

Christian sighed in relief.

" We almost got spotted..." Christian exhaled and looked at Raul. Raul pinched Christian's arms.

" What?" Christian asked.

Raul looked at a direction and looked again at Christian. He did this few more times before Christian turned to look also.

He froze.

The Blue-haired Girl was in front of them. She wore this disgusted expression on her face.

" Who are you? Why are you here?" She asked in a stern voice.

"M-me? Uhmmm..." He was thinking on how to get away this time.

" We are left behind by our crew here. Me, My friend and the others were here to refill the tank. After that, we were just about to go back to our rooms but I left something here. My friend and I went back here and saw my glasses that I left but the light went off and we are locked up inside." Christian lied but his words sound so real like it really did happened.

"Prove it." The Blue-haired girl didn't believe immediately and asked them to show some proof.

Suddenly, A message appeared in Christian's eyes. It came from the monitoring Room. It has fake ID's and details. The Monitoring Room guys are really helpful!

Christian took the Pad in Raul's hand and showed The Blue-haired girl their fake identities.

Because there are proofs, the Blue-haired girl believe them.

" Alright. Now, go. You can leave. You shouldn't wander around here for now." She said.

Raul and Christian stood up and bowed at the Girl and went to the place where they have come from.

Raul Was mesmerized by the Blue-haired Girl's beauty and asked her. "Ma'am. Sorry to ask you this but may we know your name?" Raul asked politely.1

The Blue-haired Girl glared at Raul. Raul jerked in fright and went ahead of Christian.

Christian looked at the Girl. The Blue-haired girl has a pair of two blue eyes. People would address her a girl because of her very young appearance.

The Blue-haired girl glanced at Christian and their eyes met.

Christian's heart pumped.

The Blue-haired Girl blushed as well but not that much just light.

" You can call me... Amara." She said and walked away.

Christian looked petrified. Her name was closer to her dead Girlfriend's name. He got back from his gaze when Raul said, "Don't try having a crush on her too, bro. She is mine, ok?"

Christian laughed.

"Ok!"

When they reached the opening of the room, someone shouted and was followed by gunshots.

" What was that?" Raul looked glum when he saw some red dots on the Pad.

Soldiers are being attacked. On the Glasses and the Pad, Red dots with a word dead appeared but there is one Red dot that is different from the others, it has the word attacker.

"T-their, their dead?!" Raul Wesaid in fright.

How could someone kill soldiers inside the ship?

Christian felt cold. Beads of sweats appeared on their foreheads.

" Raul, Go! Go back to your room and don't let anyone get in!" Christian ordered.

"What about you?"

"I need to warn them." Christians face was grave. He was scared but he wasn't scared that he might die, he's scared if every soldier here might turn into corpses.

"Don't worry. We could communicate each other. Just send messages using that Pad." After Christian said that, he ran inside again.

"Christian! Wait! Ugh!" Raul called worriedly and also irritated. He knew that Christian won't survive there. He don't have the skills and physicality of a Soldier. After all, he is just Monitoring Personnel!

Raul couldn't stop Christian. He wanted to follow what Christian said. But he don't want Christian to get hurt too. And so, he followed him.

Christian tried to find Amara, the Blue-haired Girl earlier.

He saw her.

"Amara!" Christian called her name. Amara looked at the place where the voice came from. She saw Christian. Her face turn grave and shouted. "What is your reason for coming here again?!"

Before Christian could answer, a black mud or ink appeared behind Amara. Upper portion of the Black mud moved and it looks like a head looking at Christian.

Christian stopped and went cold.

The Black Mud behind Amara turned into A bloody, full of bruises and holes Amara! That fake Amara was also holding a knife!

" Amara! Behind you!" Christian yelled on top of his lungs.

The real Amara reacted fast and kicked the thing behind her. The fake Amara flew few steps away.

Amara was shocked when she saw herself lying on the ground, bloody and full of cuts and bruises.

The fake Amara turned into a Black Mud again and went away. Christian reached Amara.

"Are you alright?" He curiosly asked.

" Yes, I'm fine." She answered. Her shocked expression didn't fade after that. She was mindblowned by what happened. A strange black mud transformed easily into her?! That was the creepiest thing for her.

"Where is your friend?" Amara asked Christian. "I told him to go back to his room."

Amara stayed vigilant. She looked around but couldn't spot that Black Mud. "What is that thing?" She asked.

" That thing might be the one who killed the other soldiers." Amara looked shocked when Christian said that. "That thing had already killed some of my co-soldiers?!"

She was infuriated.

A hand suddenly reached out to Christian's shoulder from behind and Christian jerked in fear, he even screamed.

Amara didn't waste time and punched who scared Christian. The fist was almost at Raul's face but it stopped in the mid-air. Amara looked surprise when she saw Raul. Raul was even more shocked and immediately turned red after he saw Amara.

" Hi, Amara. Hey! I thought you were going to help them, you just flirted with her instead?!" He shouted angrily at Christian.

"I thought I told you to hide in your room!" Christian screamed.

" I wanted to help. I don't want to hide there in my room like a chicken!" Raul fired back.

" I just want you to be safe!"

" Safe?! Or you just want to be alone with her!"

"Of course not!"

The two screamed at each other and Amara's eyes twitched in annoyance.

" Can the two of you stop screaming!" Amara couldn't help it and screamed also at them. The two stopped and looked at Amara.

"Sorry." Christian apologized. Raul coughed and said, "Me too."

Amara sighed.

" Come on. Let's find the others." She got back to her serious and composed self once again.
