14 Hit and Run

After Captain Maverick contacted Akachi, he decided that since he would need to wait for Lion and Snake to show up, he might as well eat something and rest. Sighing to himself he leaves his post and goes into his quarters. Feeling fatigued he sits on his bed and does not even have a chance to find food, his eyelids close on him. He slept for roughly 30 minutes before he was awoken by a loud alarm coming form his desk on the bridge. Rushing out there he sees Captain Satoshi and pulls up short. The look on his friend's face is grim.

"You got 10 minutes, Maverick, before we shoot your thrusters if you wont shut them down." Another voice came out as Captain Maverick realized that the other 11 captains were also there. Maverick looks at them and shakes his head. "No can do Captain Jones, I have to ensure my peoples safety." He replies. She sadly smiles at him. The other Captains look at Maverick with pity in their eyes. Another one speaks up, "If that is how it has to be Maverick, then we will fire." Suddenly one by one each captain ordered their ship to fire at the vessels thrusters.

The entire bridge shook from the impact, causing Captain Maverick to slightly stumble as he lost his balance. After regaining his balance he glares at the other captains. Suddenly one of the latches opened and a young Hispanic male crawled under and jumped up to hit the latch before turning to face the Captains. He seemed shocked, then recovers, and straighten his back. As if he was trying to appear calm.

Captain Maverick saw this young man and was revolted by what he saw. The skin was peeling off of his face, and his limbs appeared to be inhumanly extended. He was missing fingers but appeared to not notice. "Captain I wish you luck, we are cutting transmission and heading to our destination." Suddenly it became silent as everything went dark on the hologram.

"Captain, its Snake, we need to get you to Dr. Valencia before Akachi catches up." Julian started. Now Maverick was greatly shocked. Most other creatures could not speak, yet here was one that did and appear to worry about his safety. Maverick nods at Snake, "Sure thing bud, but you broke the latch that leads that way."

"Its fine, there's another way, from you Quarters." Snake hurriedly stated. "Follow me."

Maverick follows Snake into his quarters and watches as he picks up the bed and punches in a code into the keypad that was hidden underneath. He also took a mental note of the numbers. Suddenly a staircase was opened to. "Go down these stairs and follow the vent below it'll take you to the bedroom where Dr. Valencia is at. Stay there and do not move. Wait for Shark and Coyote." Snake forces out as he loses feeling on his face. Maverick nods and starts down, as Snake watch the captain go down the steps, he rushes out of the Captain quarters and takes leaps off the edge down into the café that was fifty stories down. Now in excruciating pain, he wishes he was able to light a cigarette before he faded into darkness.
