11 Captain Maverick II

Captain Maverick was looking at the screens that were in front of him, and he saw what happened to Angel. More to the point he saw what happened after the door closed, even in the dim light. The tendril that had a hold of Angel's head dropped it on the floor and moved away. Whereas the tendril that had a hold of his leg moved the body down the corridor and around the corner. Captain Maverick quickly tried to find a camera that had sight of the corresponding corridor. It took a few moments, but he was able to find it, then wish he had not. Angels chest cavity was torn open showing the remains of his heart and lungs. More tendrils had come out of the walls and were sending out smaller tendrils to prob at the body. One pulled out the heart, and a hole opened at the tip of the tendril and the heart was placed inside of it. It started to pulsate as small bones came out, making it look like a barbed whip. The other tendrils took notice to this and started to aggressively attack the body. Captain Maverick had a front see view at Angels internal organs being ripped out of his lifeless body. He saw everything being ripped to shreds and consumed and saw the tendrils change in various ways.

He turned his attention back to the screen that had Angel's head on it, while he himself was green in the face. Once his eyes locked onto the screen, he felt revulsion go through his body. He saw hundreds of small worms swarming Angels head, forming a sort of cocoon. He saw it solidify into a ball. He kept staring at the screen, waiting for something to happen. After a few minutes, he sighed, and turned back to the screen that had Angels body. What happened to the head was now happening to his body. Confused, he continued watch.

"Aye, Captain. This is Akachi, Codename Lion. Come in." The unknown voice coming from the transmitter caused Captain Maverick to jump, as his pulse elevated. After realizing that it was just his transmitter on the desk, he calmed down.

"This is Captain Maverick, Lion what is your status?" He replied.

"Me and Snake are ready to come up to you. Just need a map with the best route." Akachi replied.

"Sending map with coordinates in it. Do be careful boys, this sh*t just got a lot freakier." Captain Maverick replied.

"Roger that Captain, Akachi out." Transmitter went dead as Akachi terminated the line.

Sighing to himself, Captain Maverick hoped that Snake and Lion could reach him with no difficulties. But he was not an idiot, he would be lucky if even one of them made it to him.

"Captain Maverick, you there, its Kenichi-tai, Satoshi-kaicho's Second-in-Command. I'm touching base to inform you of an urgent matter." The hologram of a young Japanese male came up.

"What is that Lieutenant Kenichi?" Captain Maverick asked.

"We were tasked with keeping watch of your vessel, and we have noticed that there are odd

growths forming on the outside of your ship. And it seems as if there are, 'spores' of sorts, moving towards the other ships." Lieutenant Kenichi started, "Be advised that we cannot let anything jeopardize our mission. We don't want to shoot your ship down Captain, but unless you kill the thrusters on your ship we will have no choice but to." Upon hearing this Captain Maverick's blood went cold. It hasn't even been three hours yet, and the other captains want to shoot us down.

"Lieutenant Kenichi, we have the situation under control, just make sure what ever is coming out of the ship does not enter any other ship in the fleet." Captain Maverick ordered Lieutenant Kenichi.

"Understood Captain Maverick. But if it turns out that what you said was false, we will shoot you down." After finishing his sentence Lieutenant Kenichi cut the feed. Feeling hopeless Captain Maverick again looked at the screens in front of him and noticed that the 'cocoons' of Angel's corpse were gone.
