112 At Last

"You're here in Jenzaya!??"

"Yes mom," Jasper laughed. "I'm home. Sorry for the late notice."

"Oh my gosh, I need to see you and Axel right now! Me and your father have been worried sick!"

"Ah, Axel's not here with me mom. I'm here with a colleague."

"Oh… Another one of you Seven Virtues?"

"Yes, yes. He's the Virtue of Temperance, Wardell August."

"Ah… Why don't you come over? I'll prepare food, and you can introduce him to us!"

"I'd love to mom but our priority being here is actually for his own family. Wardell has a sister in Jenzaya's Hospital, so we came to visit her."

Jasper's mother gasped over the phone. "Oh my gosh! In the hospital? Is she okay?"

"Yes she's okay. That's why we're coming to visit, because she's finally recovering. It's a very meaningful moment for Wardell."

"Gosh… In that case, let me bake some goodies and come over to Jenzaya Hospital and join you guys! Let's make their reunion a whole lot brighter!"

Jasper smiled. "That'd be great. I'll let him know. Thanks mom."

"No problem! See you soon!"

The phone call ended. Jasper walked back through the doors, re-entering the waiting room where Wardell sat.

"Who called?"

"It was my mom. If you don't mind, she and my dad actually want to come visit too. My mom said she'll bake some goods for us and your sister. If it's too personal though, I'll let her know"

"No, no, no! It's fine man." Wardell stood up. "I think the more people that come to visit Lesley whether she knows them or not, the better."

"As long as you're there, it'll be the best it can possibly be."

Wardell returned a smile. "Thanks again, for all of this."

"Anything for my team," Jasper smirked; "Anything for a fellow Virtue."

The two bumped fists.

"Lesley August. For Lesley August."

Wardell immediately stood up upon hearing his sister's name being called. "Right here! I'm the guest for Lesley." He rushed up to the front desk.

"For Lesley August? What is your connection to her?"

"I'm her brother, Wardell August. And I have a plus-one with me. He's my colleague, Jasper Garrison."

The receptionist's eyes grew wide. "W-Wardell August? A-And Jasper Garrison!??" She suddenly turned around and rushed into the backroom. "The Virtue of Temperance and the Virtue of Forgiveness, they're here!"

"What!?"

"Really?"

"Yes! They're right outside!"

The receptionist, plus two more of her female coworkers, came back out to the front. All of them looked surprised upon seeing the two Virtues.

"Could we have a picture with you?"

"Of course!" Jasper and Wardell posed for a selfie in the background. The rest of them laughed. It was the first time they'd had any sort of fan encounter.

The receptionist now spoke up. "Wow, so your sister is a girl in this ward we've been working with all along?"

"Lesley August right?" One of the nurses jumped in.

Wardell nodded.

"The Cardinal Nexus had sent a bunch of professionals into her room one day, and the next, she was suddenly awake! It was a miracle!"

Hearing this made Wardell's heart skip a beat. He couldn't wait any longer.

"Is she awake right now? What room is she?"

"Right! Sorry for the hold up, she's room 113!"

Wardell immediately began a speed-walk in its direction, while Jasper rushed to catch up.

"110, 111, 112…" Wardell walked up to the door. "113… Lesley…"

He took a deep breath. Opening the door slowly, his eyes met the view of something he thought he'd never see again.

"Hey, Wardell."
