20 The Trial(2)

Knowing this, Arthur continues answering the question from the AI. Determining the difficulty of the questions, controlling the amount of time he would spend on each question depending on difficulty. Also, understand the amount of detail needed to answer each question.

The AI asked, "What are the three different forces of energy?"

Arthur replied, "Mana, Supernatural Energy, and Energy."

Many minutes past would the AI asked a question that Arthur ponder a moment before answering. "What's the strongest weapon known in a technological universe," The AI asked. The question is simple, only if you are Arthur. From what he remembers, during his time reading through the academy archive. The answer to this question wasn't mention much. To be honest it's like an easter egg. Only three books mention this weapon from the hundred thousand books he has read. It comes with many names, Universal Annihilation Bomb, Universal Catastrophe, Or T.A.E. Whatever its name, one thing is true this weapon could destroy a universe.

With Arthur's photographic memory it's no surprise that this question wouldn't faze him. However, what makes him ponder is what difficulty it is. The answer could just be one name or all of its name. Depending on the difficulty he would need to choose the amount wisely. He knows that this question wouldn't be easy. It could also not be medium, it could only be hard or very hard because not everyone has a photographic memory. By instinct, Arthur believes it to be very hard for the amount of data, is really little. However, Arthur thinks that memory questions shouldn't be very hard because it's just you remembering the knowledge you've learned. Knowing that Arthur shifts to a hard question a bit more than a very hard question. However, this still doesn't prove anything because he doesn't have a sense of scale on what's hard or very hard. Until he realizes that some questions have a trick to them, a trick question. These questions could be counted as very hard for it's not straightforward with its purpose. There are loopholes to be found in these questions. Arthur now can for certain say that this question is a hard question.

Arthur answers "The weapon is called Universal Annihilation Bomb, Universal Catastrophe, Or T.A.E."

Continuing on Arthur didn't face any more roadblocks, it's smooth driving from there. Arthur took about 10 hours to answer all those questions. Averaging on 1 second for easy, medium, and hard questions. 2 seconds for very hard questions.

The voice announces "Trial Taker Arthur, Age 5, fully complete the special Trial of Intelligence Novice Level in 10 hours 3 minutes and 24 seconds. The Trial Taker was able to determine the side test of the trial by completely identifying every question difficulty correctly(500 pts). Having consistency over each question difficulty(500pts). Knowing the hidden test of the Trial(1000pts). Answering every question correctly(1000pts). Trial Taker, Arthur's name will be recorded in the hall of the young scholar."

Arthur hearing the robotic voice talking about score made him take the Trial even more seriously. Is the Trial there to test if a young scholar is ready, or it's a competition to garner attention, wealth, or knowledge. Why would they reveal that it's scored? This could be a hint, or it could be a trick to let young scholars reveal all their cards. Just thinking about it made Arthur excited. Unlike Earth where tests were as easy as sleeping, these tests actually made him feel alive and awake.

He first thought that after finishing a trial he would stop and get some rest. However, that rest wasn't a priority anymore. Like a kid with a new toy. Arthur wanted more without skipping a beat he dashes toward the next Trial. On his way, Arthur notices subtle music playing in the hall. Its rhythm gives peace to the mind. he felt the music influence his very consciousness to a great extent. His mind felt rejuvenated, never would he have thought that music could be so magical. The inner demon that once hunts him started to be suppressed into its weakened form. Arthur couldn't help but feel thankful for the music.

Lost in the music Arthur finally noticed that he's in front of the next trial, Trial of Intelligence Expert Level. Looking at the door Arthur couldn't but feel disappointed in the choice of decoration. The Trial of Intelligence Expert Level is designed the same as the Trial of Intelligence Novice Level door. So same as before he walks into the trial having no interest in the design.

"Hello, Trial Taker wait 30 seconds for the Trial to commence." The AI voice said

As the voice faded, Arthur feels the same sensation again. However, since he has been through this once. This didn't come as a surprise. "Scanning complete, Arthur, Age 5, have learned about all topic in the library base. The scenario given will be for you to raise a kingdom from worst kingdom of the land to the best kingdom of the land. Trial Taker would be given 3 years to accomplish this task."

Arthur is speechless at the ridiculousness of the trial couldn't but asked, "What? Is this some sort of joke?"

"Trial Taker are you confused about something," The AI said

Arthur replied back "Yes I am confused, is the trial going to really take 3 years of my life."

The AI explained "Trial Taker, don't worry the Trial is a simulation in virtual reality. You are able to quicken time, pause time, slower, or even skip time."

Hearing the explanation Arthur couldn't help but gasp in surprise. He read about virtual reality in the archive before. Unlike the one in the library, which is a really outdated version of virtual reality. The one Arthur thinks that the trial would use is the Oxus 37. This device transcends virtual reality into real reality. Anyone in the multiverse would agree that no matter how you look at it, this virtual reality device is flawless. When a user uses the Oxus 37 they could interact in any way possible like in real life. The terrace, the people, the weather all give you a dept feeling of realism. Everything you see and do in any way is true to reality.

Of course, if it's just making things look real, Arthur could achieve that too on Earth in a couple of years. The thing that causes him to be baffled is the processing speed of it. The Oxus 37 don't just generate a premade map. Instead, you gave it some foundation image, some rules, some interaction, and some concept. With those things, the AI learns and processes the information to creates a universe that is as unique, and diverse as the universe we live in. The Oxus 37 could be counted as the peak of an open-world sandbox. Planets with different cultures, civilizations, and creatures. The interaction of them is even more noteworthy. Each individual generated things have a limitless interaction toward one another. Everything in Oxus 37 has its own story. A computer-generated person could grow up, have a family, face challenges, and many more.

Knowing that he would be able to use this amazing technology Arthur couldn't help but be exploding with a rush of energy.
