Chapter 1

When everyone was either working or at school, a large, black hole suddenly appeared, covering the vast Earth. Curious about this sudden change, many brave people got out of buildings and headed out to take a look at it.

As soon as they got in range of the black hole, it suddenly began sucking everything in! Those closest were sucked in first, and those in buildings were sucked in together with the buildings they were in!

Nobody knew what happened after that, as all they could see was a pitch blackness, as if it was a moonless night.

Xiao Lin suddenly found himself in a large black space after that black hole appeared. He was just at class and now he is here, so he is confused and scared. He looks around the darkness and finds that basically his whole school is around him right now.

He is a bit glad he isn't alone here, but he is also nervous. What exactly is happening? Did the world end? Are we gonna die? These were the most common thoughts among all the students, including Xiao Lin.

All of the sudden, the darkness receded and they found themselves in a weird place. There was stone walls on each of the four directions, there was also a massive gate in the middle of one of the walls. Looking around more, Xiao Lin found nothing else besides people in this sealed off place, and was confused.

Looking up at the sudden screen like thing that appeared in front of his face, Xiao Lin had a bad feeling. Let's not mention the sudden appearance of the screen, the first thing it says is to survive, but survive what?

A sudden growl told him what it was. He, along with everyone else, looked in the direction of the gate. It is currently open and numerous small, green people walked through it. Although he doesn't play games that often, he can tell that they are known as goblins.

They are all carrying wooden clubs and marching towards the group with ferocious expressions on their faces. Seeing that, everybody began running away from the goblin group, Xiao Lin included. He doesn't know where they are and he has no idea what is going on, not to mention the amount of goblins there are.

They ran to the opposite wall of the gate the goblins came from, but there was nowhere to go. The only way to leave this place was through the gate across them, but the amount of goblins in the way makes it impossible.

Not to mention, what else would be beyond the gate. The amount of goblins that came out of the gate is nearly as many people from their entire school, which is 650, at least. All the girls start crying, and even most of the males start crying as well.

Xiao Lin feels his mind go blank when he sees a students head get smashed into bloody pieces by a goblins club. For some reason, his mind instantly cleared up and his fear disappeared. He was shocked, what exactly is happening to him?

He feels everything move slower, no that's not right. He feels that he can move faster, which looks like everything else is slower. He doesn't know why, but he suddenly moved forward and punched a goblin directly on the right side of it's head.

He could hear a crack and the goblin fell to the ground, and Xiao Lin was shocked. He knows his strength, he is weak as heck. He would barely be able to even fight back against a regular student without a weapon.

He blankly picks up the dropped wooden club and swings it at the head of another goblin, which pops like a watermelon. He could faintly hear a beeping sound in his head, but he couldn't hear it clearly.

He continues moving like he is attached to strings and blankly looks around while swinging the wooden club around, smashing goblins heads. This weird slow motion thing lasts for 30 seconds, and it suddenly disappears.

As soon as it disappeared, his body felt beyond heavy and he fell to the ground, staring dumbly at the goblins near him. He thought he was going to die, but a white light shone on him and a circular barrier formed around him, floating him into the air.

He doesn't know what happened, and all he can do now is look down at the goblins murdering his schoolmates. It was so brutal that he, a normal person, has never seen something like this before outside of a movie.

His body was shivering in fear while looking at the scene below him. He closed his eyes, but he could still hear their screams. It didn't last long, though, as he heard nothing soon after. He slowly opened his eyes and looked down again, only to see all of his schoolmates dead on the ground with smashed bodies.

Some had their heads smashed to pieces, some had their chests smashed in, some had their limbs smashed off, and some were just a bloody mess. Looking at the bloody hell down below, Xiao Lin can't handle it and begins throwing up.

He pukes until he can't puke any further and then sits down while blankly staring ahead. He doesn't know how long he stares blankly, but a sudden wave of screens popping up in his vision brought him back to his senses as he read over them all.

[You have activated the skill ??????]

He stares dumbly at the bunch of screens and feels like everything is a dream when he read the last screen, 'You were the only survivor'. He looked down at the ground and saw everything, which told him it isn't a dream.

He can't move from his spot in the sky, and he has no idea why he is up here, so he simply waits and waits until a screen finally appears, explaining everything to him.

[Hello. You are the only survivor of the survival task, and you even killed 10 out of 10 goblins needed. You are probably wondering what is happening, so I will explain it to you. There is currently a Universal War going on right now, and every planet in the Shizui Universe, which is the Universe Earth is located in, is in a similar situation to Earth.]
