1 Sometimes Over-Excitement Is Bad

December 2020, Earth.

There lay a small village in the outskirts of the Himalayas. The population of the entire village was around 100 people.

On this night, while it was raining heavily, everyone was resting inside their houses. Little kids were peeking outside their window comparing which of the two drops of rain will fall to the ground first. After a day of hard work, most of the people were enjoying their daily life routine.

Even in this rainy night, the village atmosphere was filled with laughter and warmth.

If there was one thing that didn't fit at this time, it was a small house at the outer side of the village. While the entire village was filled with the laughter and happiness, there was someone cursing loudly inside the house.

"Fuck you and your grandmother."

Inside a 6X6 room, a young man was cursing loudly at his computer screen.

"Motherfucker, I paid 300$ for ASUS ROG and Iphone 13 pro, and this guy blocked me."

The boy was cursing loudly while pointing at the screen in front of him. His eyes were red while his entire body was shaking with anger.

After taking a deep breath, the boy calmed himself and then begin to see the telegram group he just joined.

The story goes like this -

Yesterday his friend sent him the link for the group promising him great items at low cost. After checking various item receipts and thank you messages from other people, he decided to buy a gaming laptop and iphone from the admin.

At first the man sent him order confirmed status and receipt for the order. Only after paying him full money, he realized that he has been scammed when the admin blocked him and kicked him out of the group.

Fast forward to present, he was still cursing the 18th generations of admin's family.

"Motherfucker Vikas, don't let me catch you, or I will make you regret living in this world."

After cursing for half an hour, the boy lay down on the bed. After going through all this, a sheer exhaustion took over him. At first he was overexcited for the gaming laptop he was going to have. Alas! Happiness never lasts long.

Looking out of his window, there was only darkness. The heavy sound of rain along with the distant howls of the wolf was as grim as his heart.

After mumbling for half an hour, he begins feel sleepy. After covering himself with a thick blanket, the boy drifted into the sleep.

On this night, Xen had a wonderful dream. He dreamt of catching Vikas, then beating him up and finally getting all his money back.

A wise man once said 'Reality is often disappointing.' This sentence couldn't be any more true to Xen, who just woke up from the sleep.

After looking around, he just stayed there motionless. Thinking of how he earned that money by working for 2 moths, and then losing it to a scammer; he couldn't help but shake his head bitterly.

"Well, I guess this is also a life lesson. Never trust anyone."

After closing his eyes for a minute, he collected his breath and then stood up slowly.

Looking around his room in a daze, he noticed something in the corner of his eye.

"What is that small book?"

After taking a look, he went forward to grab it. But to his surprise, the size of the book remained the same. Confused, he started looking around his room.

However, once he moved his head, the book moved with him.

"Hmm. Am I still not awake?"

Confused, he closed his eyes again.

However, as soon as he closed his eyes, the image of the book became extremely clear in his eyes. The book looked extremely old. The outside of the book was damaged, while some of the pages inside were wrinkled and torn from different places. The language in the book was also unreadable.

After concentrating on the book for a while, a message suddenly popped in front of Xen.

"Open the interference?"

"Yes/No"

Seeing all this in front of him, Xen's breathing became unstable. With a fast thumping heart, he said "YES".

As soon as he said yes, the book disappeared and everything in front of him was black.

After waiting for a minute, he opened his eyes carefully.

With a ragged breath, Xen shouted loudly.

"HOLY FUCKING SHIT".

In front of him was a translucent screen of light hanging. Written in it were his properties.

For a long time, Xen couldn't control his breathing.

After waiting for some time, he said again.

"Fucking hell, how does this thing even work? Aren't you supposed to say 'Beep! Yes master.' And then issue me a newbie gift pack and some tasks?"

After waiting for around 10 minutes, there was still not any response.

Xen concentrated his eyes in front of the screen again. Only to find a small "?" symbol there.

Curiously he concentrated on the mark. Suddenly a small screen opened in front of him.
