2 - Legend

He watched the others while they fidgeted under the pressure of this... Jerk. No one had spoken up and It was like that for a while. Zeke knowing someone had to speak up, spoke up.

"It's a festival, Mellmis. Give us a break."

Mellmis' head snapped into the direction of Zeke, "What did you say to me?"

"I said, fuck off," Zeke growled.

Mellmis laughed, and walked up to Zeke, their faces close to each other, enough they could feel their spit when they talked, "Who the fuck gave you permission to talk back to me."

"Who the hell allowed you to be such an ass!"

"You-"

"Leave him alone, Mellmis." Zimbet pushed himself between Zeke and Mellmis.

"He isn't respecting me as the leader I am," Mellmis grumbled, though it would have been thought of as whining.

"No one here respects you as the leader, Mellmis." Zimbet said, "We're supposed to be equal.."

Mellmis' face grew red as If he was going to blow, but the red slowly faded away, "Fine."

He walked away to his seat in the middle of the round table, "Sit down everyone. We have some meetings."

Everyone sat in their spots. Zeke sat to the left of Mellmis. Due to being the co-leader. Thanks to his parents...Jada after Zeke. Beatrix after her. On the right of Mellmis, was Zimbet and Khatil.

"Which meeting do we have first?" Beatrix groaned while examining her nails.

The millions of meetings were full of complaints and authoring buildings and such. Not fun at all. Zeke rested his head on his arms, looking out in the space in front of the round table.

"I can't take it anymore!" Jada whined, "Can we go home now?!"

"No." Khatil said, simply, "We have one more left."

"Who is it?" Zeke lifted his head as soon as Khatil had said one.

Khatil lifted his glasses as he leaned closer to his clipboard, "Mother...Bana?"

"Isn't she the daughter of Baba Yaga?" Zimbet leaned forward to look at the others.

"Indeed." Mellmis said, "What does she want?"

"It appears she wants to advise us?" Khatil said, the confusion thick in his voice.

"Advice?" Zeke's eyebrow rose.

"We don't need advice." Mellmis growled, "We are fine. Tell her no."

"Wait wait." Zeke interrupted, "Wouldn't our relationship with the creature and reputation plummet?"

"Just for rejecting someone?" Beatrix asked.

"Yes. Today is, after all, Independence day." Zeke said, "Why don't we hear her out. We'll decide later if we want to take this advice or not."

Mellmis bit his lip, "This is stupid."

"Fine. let's vote then." Zeke suggested.

Zeke motioned for Khatil to begin the voting process.

He nodded, "All in favor of pushing the woman away?"

Two hands rose. Mellmis and Beatrix.

"All in favor of letting the woman say her peace?"

Three hands rose. Zeke, Jada, and Zimbet.

"And what do you vote for Khatil," Mellmis grumbled, crossing his arms.

"I believe that Zeke is correct. So. Let us hear the woman's peace."

All of them nodded and Khatil got up to go let the woman inside the room. While they waited. Mellmis glared daggers at Zeke. Zeke finally having enough.

"Can you stop staring at me?" Zeke grumbled.

"Why?" Mellmis laughed, diabolically. "You seem to want to be the leader. You have to get used to being stared at."

"Fuck-" Zeke snarled.

"Language!" Jada yanked on Zeke's pointed ear.

Zeke didn't feel it...Expect the fact, his ears were dying.

"Don't yell in my ear, Jada." Zeke picked off Jada's fingers from his ear.

"I'm sorry..." Jada wrapped her arms around herself.

Zeke sighed then patted her on the head, "It's fine, Jada."

Khatil walked back into the room with a short woman wearing an olive green hoodie. The woman walked slowly behind Khatil, looking down. Once they got to the middle of the room. Khatil had moved away to showcase her.

"Here is Mother Bana," Khatil said, then walked back to his seat.

"Good afternoon, Council members." Mother Bana lifted her head, showing off some cursed beige-green eyes.

Zeke stared down at her, as she smiled. Mother Bana wore a short dress that went down to her thighs. Then some beige-green stockings and then some silver boots. On top of her dress, she wore a large beige-green fraying hoodie. On the hoodie, there was a silver, fluffy rim, then on the left were some beige green flowers. Possibly fake. Her bangs and the extra bits of her silver hair could be seen. Her skin color was a porcelain color with no wrinkles in sight. Shouldn't she be old? Zeke had thought to himself.

"What do you wish to offer to us, Mother Bana?" Zeke folded his fingers and leaned forward.

"A legend, my liege. A legend." Mother Bana said.

"A legend?" Jada asked, "What kind of legend."

"A legend full of magic and re-birth." Mother Bana spread out her arms, smiling widely.

Sorry for the short chapter. But hey. It seems good.
