16 Chapter 16

[Location: Salvatore Boarding School, Mystic Falls] [3rd POV]
It was the day after they found the bus of burned corpses, and Landon ran off. Talia had begun work on completing her classes early, and found that most of them were farely easy, especially with a few visits to the library. Due to her occlumency, she had absolutely perfect memory, hence, reading a book once on the subject was enough to do a lot of assignments.
Currently she was walking back into her room, only to find Hope sitting there ripping out a page from one of her grimoires "Is that more black magic?"
Hope jumped at her voice, not having heard her at all. She turned around and found Talia standing there with a raised eyebrow. "You know that Alaric is going to be pissed if he finds you using that right?"
"It's the best way to take care of the problem" Hope replied half heartedl. The fact that Talia pointed it out, made her realize the fact that it may not be the best idea to use the spell, especially if Alaric is there.
"Alright, how about this. I will go with you to find Lance, and I myself will take care of him if need be. You won't use that spell unless absolutely necessary, and I'll even show off a couple new spells too" Talia said, trying to stop Hope from making a rather dumb mistake.
"His names Landon....and fine, but the second it goes south I am using this spell" Hope said.
"Well then, let's go find Logan" Talia said with a smile, motioning for Hope to follow her. Hope followed with a giggle as she realized that Talia was definitely messing his name up on purpose.
"How about we have another bet" Talia said, walking alongside Hope through the school.
"What kind of bet? The last one cost me ten bucks" Hope said with a pout.
"I'll bet that we will run into something that none of you have seen before. If I win the bet, then you have to do one thing I ask of you, within reason of course, without question" Talia said with a smirk.
"And if I win?" Hope asked, while also noting the smirk, and the reward that Talia wants. She knew Talia enough to know that she won't use it for anything bad, but that doesn't mean she can't be slightly worried that she was about to get pranked or something.
"You can do the same with me, within reason. If the ask is too much, then you can deny it and I won't question it" Talia said.
Hope hummed in thought at the bet, before nodding "Alright, deal. I hope your ready to sing let it go while wearing an Elsa costume"
"Oh? I didn't know you'd want to see me in a dress" Talia smirked teasingly. Hope blushed while rolling her eyes, only to notice Rafael under the Alarics jeep.
"Looks like he's sabotaging the mission" Talia said with a raised eyebrow.
Hope hearing this, walked forward and addressed the teen "Hello?" Rafael rolled out from under the jeep upon hearing her.
Sighing Rafael replied "Hey"
With a look of confusion on her face, Hope asked "What are you doing?"
"Pretty sure he's trying to break the sway bar" Talia commented. They both heard a soft crack sound, as Rafael rolled out from under the jeep and got up.
"It's definitely broken now" Rafael said before continuing as she looked at Hope and Talia "Your going after Landon. If you want this car to work, I'm going with you"
"You should stay out of it. He's a liar and a thief" Hope said annoyance clear in her tone. "He's also kinda creepy" Talia added, which got a nod from Hope.
"He took a stupid knife, and what did he do that was so creepy?" Rafael said with furrowed eyebrows.
"Nothing in this school is stupid anything" Hope said.
"And he's creepy because I am like ninety precent sure I have caught him staring at Hope's ass like four or five times now" Talia said with a deadpan. Hope hearing this turned to Talia "Wait really?!" Talia nodded at her question, causing Hope to scowl in disgust.
Even Rafael frowned slightly at the information, before sighing and speaking "Look. He's my best friend. And you? You seem vengeful"
Talia raised an eyebrow at this before waving her hand while saying "In Sertia" It was a neat little spell she managed to get Hope to teach her, it basically allowed her to share a small portion of her memory with someone else. In this case it was the memory of the bus full of burnt corpses that Landon was on. It was one of the few TVD spells she has actually learnt.
Rafael who had his eyes closed at the memories, opened them and stepped back while looking at Talia "What the hell was that?"
"Your best friend did that to a bus full of people on Route 29 last night, and I am the only one who knows how to find him, so give me the engine thingy" Hope said reaching her hand out for the part needed to repair the car.
"No" Rafael said while shaking his head. Hope frowned, but before she could speak, Talia began to speak.
"Well I guess I'll just fix it then, Reparo" Talia said, casting the mending charm. The charm immediately began it's work as the part in Rafael's hand flew out of it, and went back to the Jeep. The Jeep began to move slightly, before stopping. Hope looked at the spell in wide borderline sparkling eyes as she turned back to Talia.
"Neat spell isn't it? It repairs practically any broken object as long as I have enough magic, and the object can't be put under a curse or any of that. It should even work on burnt pictures and stuff like that" Talia said, making an obvious nod to a picture Hope drew with her father that was burnt by Josie years ago, on accident.
Alaric who had seen Talia use the spell, had a look of surprise on his face at the spell, before walking forward "He can come, Talia you can come too"
"What?" Hope asked while looking at Alaric. She didn't understand why he was okay with Rafael coming along, when they were going out to hunt his own friend, he would obviously become an issue while there.
"He knows Landon; he'll be an asset. And we need all the help we can get, so hop in. And put a shirt on" Alaric said, causing Hope to scoff and Talia to sigh.
Climbing into the back of the jeep, Talia sat back with a sigh, as Alaric and Hope got in as well.
"So, how many spells do you have exactly?" Alaric couldn't help but ask, while waiting for Rafael.
"I think like 60 or 70, why?" Talia asked, wondering why he wanted to know such a thing.
"No reason" Alaric said, before Rafael climbed into the back next to Talia.
Talia blinked as a system message appeared in her eye sight.

That's the end of the chapter. This chapter was shorter because I have school today, and I wrote this before my class begins. Next chapter will cover the rest of episode two, and will be longer by a decent amount (probs in the 2000-3000's)
