193 No Worries

"Then let us begin…" Adam snapped his finger, and in the next second the two of them were in a grassland, it was a plain landscape with nothing but an expanse of green land in all directions.

But Unohana did not waste a single second, and attacked Adam with her katana immediately.

KLANG*

'She is raring to go,' Adam thought as he had stopped that attack, with the sword he pulled out from his storage.

He was planning on using the sword since that was Unohana's skill set, he needed to match her properly. so that he can complete the contract properly.

KLANG* KLANG* KLANG*

Unohana on the other hand wordlessly kept swinging her katana at him, she was showing no signs of stopping. Instead, it looked like she was getting faster and faster with each strike.

'It is weird…' She thought while attacking Adam, no matter from where she attacked, 'I can't get through.' she was not able to find a single opening to pry open.

That is why she was trying to figure out things at this moment. Using Shunpo, she arrived behind Adam in a flash, aiming straight for his neck.

It was the quickest sword she had, but it was fruitless as he avoided it easily, letting the sword go over his head before he turned, and with a flash…

SPLASH*

Blood spurted from the deep cut made on Unohana's front, but she was unbothered by it and brought down her sword in a vertical slash.

'She is fast with healing,' Adam thought as he jumped back to avoid the attack.

TSSSSSSS*

"I see, so this is how you will do it," Unohana spoke as the wound on her body was healed quickly through the use of Kaido.

"Yes, I'll keep my strength at a single level above you," Adam planned on doing this to every attribute they had, may it be physical abilities or skills, even the level of experience he had would be limited, "This way you'll just be facing a big wall just big enough, for you to possibly climb."

"And when I do you'll increase it again?" Unohana concluded and she thought that it was a good way.

'If I had to train someone who can beat me, I'd do it the same way,' She would set a goal that can achieved if the person in front of her can push themselves, and then up it again till she can.

'it's just that one needs to be careful while doing that,' You can't set that target too high or low, otherwise, it would just end in the person either losing hope because his target was too big, or losing the motivation and become complacent if it was too easy, the main point was to give the other person a challenge they can put their all behind without being lost in hopelessness or complacence.

That is the only way to get the perfect result, but it was tough to grasp it and set these targets but…

'He's doing it rather easily,' Unohana thought using Shunpo once again, but this time rather than using it once she started to use it in a continuous state.

KLANG* KLANG* KLANG*

'She's good at picking up on openings,' Adam was attacked from all sides by Unohana.

She wasn't letting even a second pass where she hadn't tried to lop his head off clean. But so far nothing was working, as he had defended against her attacks without a problem, even if she switched her targets to other body parts it was for naught.

'And her attacks have patterns,' Adam could recognize it because she was going at top speed, so the moves she could do from a certain point were limited which allowed him to read them.

KLANG*

'An attack on the right hip from the front,' Adam defended firmly, and since that was the move, 'next is an attack on the right eye, or the left leg from a lower angle.' The next attack depended on whether she'd go left or right in that instant.

'An 80% chance of going left,' Adam positioned himself on his own prediction, but Unohana chose to go to the right in the last instant.

And with Adam's body turned to the opposite side, she was able to get out of his peripheral vision.

That is when the attack came….

KLANG*

'Even if you are out of my vision, I can still feel the attack,' But of course, Adam was able to block it, it was just that, 'She behind me?' he felt two Unohanas at this moment.

One from his right and one from behind him, that was when the dagger that he knocked out came flying into his view, it wasn't something she had just thrown.

'He fell for it,' Unohana had thrown that dagger towards him while she was out of his vision, with precise control over the throw; she was able to emulate the pressure of her swing so that he wouldn't catch on.

And on top of that, she coated it in her spiritual pressure while hiding her own to make it seem like she was rushing towards him, while in reality, she was slipping behind him by making him focus on the dagger.

That was the reason she tried to get out of his vision, because that way he would need to sense her, which is how she had been trying to set things up.

She followed patterns at first and then broke them at the correct opportunity, to make an advantageous situation for herself.

But just as Unohana's katana was about to slash at his torso, her eyes widened slightly.

It was because he was already out of the path of the sword, so the attack only grazed him.

"That was a good plan," That was all Unohana heard before she saw a sword coming towards her face, because of her committing to too full speed it wasn't possible to stop.

And there was no way to block that sword at this instant since her katana was already in full motion, and worst of all there was no time to block that attack.

'He allowed me to think that I had fooled him,' Unohana understood that much before everything went dark for her.

She had just died for the first time in this session, and the next instant light returned in her vision.

"So, did you check things enough?" Adam who was still standing in front of her asked.

"Certainly have," Unohana was satisfied now since everything was working, she had been recklessly using her spiritual powers and even then she had felt no different.

Her physical abilities still seemed like they were in peak condition, not to mention that she had just come back from the dead.

'I am sure that my head was lopped off,' Unohana thought touching her neck, but she didn't think much about that.

This was a very good way for her to train, she really had nothing to worry about, so that is why she can continuously sharpen her skills without any issues.

She can even learn how to be more efficient with certain skills, since she can use them forever at this moment.

But this training can also be detrimental for her, that is because if she is not careful her sense of combat can be thrown out of wack, her control can worsen, and she can become too numb to death, which can cause problems in an actual battle

It is just that Unohana didn't care for that now…

'If it happens to me, then that means that I was not worth that much to begin with,' Unohana was certain she could keep her real sense of battles about even after this, even if she died a billion times it wouldn't change her.

'It is not going to make me numb, because I already am,' Unohana had already stopped caring about dying, since she started to wield her sword.

Instead, she liked the moment she was on the verge of death the most, it was that moment where she was near her death that gave her the joy of battle…

'And now I can feel that moment for a long time without any worries,' There was nothing greater than that for Unohana who just wanted to continue the battle without any breaks.

That is why she grabbed her blade with her left hand, and slowly ran her hand along the length of the blade.

"Bankai..."
