237 An Opportunity

"What I want to do is give your past selves their possible future as a dream, that is only if you want to know what could've happened." Adam's words struck them all like a strike of lightning, and how could it not stun them? This was a chance that they wanted, it was something they needed.

They had been robbed of their chastity, dignity, and even humanity in the span of a few months. And now they had the opportunity to restore it all. But as some mindlessly rejoiced over this opportunity, another's suspicions reached new heights.

"And you are just going do that for free?" Olga didn't think that was possible. The other victims were the Seven Shields, and she was their enemy. So, something would be asked of her, that she was sure of, but she was wrong.

"Celestine has already made the deal. So, all you guys have to choose is whether you'd like to remember this reality as a dream or not. Whatever your choice may be, will be respected and you will not be asked for anything." Adam had to do this to fulfill his contract.

Upon knowing the fate of these people, the best way to save the continent was to turn the time back and make it so that these events never happened. But this wouldn't be allowed normally with an absent Administrator. It worked because the Administrator of this world was in the embryo state where the world needed resources.

That is why he had to create a situation where he would be allowed to do such a thing, and he killed off 80% of the population judging them in the most one-sided way possible.

It was an irreversible situation as all men were killed and all that remained were women. So, with the life on this planet as good as extinct, it opened the best possibility for him.

"Yes, it is as Adam has said. You all just need to make your choice as it would help us in avoiding this situation." Celestine could understand a little of what Adam was planning, and she was grateful because he gave them a choice.

"But even if it is important if you do not wish to remember this terrible tragedy no one will blame you. All I want is to be able to save you all this time." In the long 800 years, this was the first time Celestine felt helpless. She could not help her comrades who put their lives on the line for her, and the only option left to her was compromise.

If not for meeting Adam, she knew that their future would be bleak. And the worst part was that she was about to accept it, just the thought made her stomach churn now. That is why she could never blame her comrades if they wanted to forget these memories.

Because even if it were in their dreams, seeing oneself defiled that way would be enough to traumatize anyone.

"Lady Celestine…" Claudia's tears ran down her face as she clung to Celestine.

"Don't worry about it and make your choice, if you pray wholeheartedly it will be granted." She spoke while patting Luu-Luu's head as she came near her.

'Well, it is only working because of you.' Adam shook his head. If Celestine hadn't agreed to the contract and placed her body on the line, they would've never had this chance.

But that was just her nature, she cared for others more than herself. And once again was ready to sacrifice herself for people who wouldn't even know about it. That is why he wanted to make sure that she got what she wanted.

'And this nature of her is the problem that allowed such scum to run rampant in the first place.' Olga clicked her tongue, but deep down she was thankful for what Celestine did. This gave her the perfect chance, and she was not one to refuse the opportunity handed on a golden platter.

"You said that only the people here will remember what happened if they wanted to, right?" She asked Adam and he nodded.

"Yes, there is no one else who will forced to remember it. Also as said this will appear to you in the form of a dream, meaning anything that happened in this dream will remain just as a dream. It will not affect your body or mind in any way." Adam was making this something similar to a prophetic dream these people had one day, and the information would help them to snuff out the conflict before it even began.

Most of them were done in by traitors, and they were not prepared for the betrayals.

"I choose to see this dream." Olga folded her arms as a slight look of relief flashed on her face. She then lightly flicked her black hair to look away, and thought of how she would handle those insolent bastards upon her return.

"I choose to remember what happened." Maia, the redhead raised her hand. She wouldn't want to forget this and live in a lie again. After all, the one who tortured her was the man she liked.

It broke her, knowing that she was always seen as a tool of pleasure. But she didn't want to look away from it, now that she knew of the reality because if she did, she might make a decision clouded with her personal feelings once again. And this will put her comrades at risk as well.

'I do not want to remember this, no never! Please forgive me, Lady Celestine.' But unlike Maia who was readily facing the truth. Claudia didn't think she would be able to go through with it, and Adam understood her condition.

'It reminds me of her, she must've gone through something similar. No, I am sure she still is.' Adam sighed. At the time his hands were tied, and it honestly made him scoff as he remembered a certain monkey, 'Were they really tied?'

"I will grant your wish, Claudia." She looked up with tears in her eyes, and she could see the mercy in the small smile. Claudia didn't know if it was her eyes playing tricks on her or not, but she something behind him.

'What is that golden silhouette?' She couldn't understand as it constantly changed shapes at every instant. And it was the same view for Celestine and Kaguya, but they weren't fixated on it as much as Claudia.

'I will never want to forget these memories I have of you, even if it means that I have to suffer for eternity.' At that moment, their thoughts aligned looking at his face as they bowed deeply, they would've fallen at his feet if he hadn't stopped them before, and knowing that Adam sighed.

He didn't understand that he did more than save the two. Both of them had given up on the Gods they served because they did not come to their aid, but there was one in front of them who helped them with such dedication. Not only did he rekindle their faith, he strengthened it beyond what they even thought was possible.

"Luu-Luu would like to have the dream, I want to strike those scum down before they become a big problem." Luu-Luu smiled while swinging her arms as if holding a weapon. But looking at her innocent behavior, Adam had already set up her future course.

'Sorry Luu-Luu, but you weren't included in the choice.' He wouldn't allow a kind like her to have such memories. Another reason was that he was sure that she would listen to Celestine because of her actions.

With this only two Princesses remained, Alicia looked at Adam and glanced at Prim several times. She was the first Princess Knight who had been raped for the longest time, and because of her decision, her younger sister was implicated. This led to the fall of other Princess Knights as it allowed Vult to gather more forces using her and Prim.

'It was my fault, all of it. So please, don't let Prim remember this. Please… I beg you.'
