1 Redo

With a voice that coming to his head. I slowly open my eyes to observe my surrounding. Find a familiar and uncertain feeling that coming, I wake up to find some different in my body.

Shu " Wha-," I find that my body is shrinking and my voices sound like a young boy.

Shu " What happen" I lost in thought to think any logical explanation to explain this phenomenon right before my eyes. I clearly remember all the thing before. I am dying and should be dead by now. But, I found myself in this place with intact memory before everything happens. Finally, I remember the sound that comes to my head.

Shu "it's God, Thank you for accept my prayers and give me a second chance, I'll definitely make everything different from before!!" I get out of my bed and try to find a calendar in my room.

Wha-, I was slightly taken back when I saw the calendar, it's my 10th birthday. But not that thing that makes me shocked, it's because Lost Christmas was already passed. I find myself powerless that I cant prevent the tragedy to occur in the first place. But, I can't complain about it. No! I won't complain about it, God gives me a second chance. it's already good enough that I can come back to the past.

I overcome my regret and open the door to find Haruka with a can of beer in her hand. But, as always there is countless beer around her.

Haruka " mmng---, Shu. You awake. Come here Sweetheart" I feel tears almost falling from my eyes watching Haruka again after long darkness that I experienced in my past life. I can't hold it anymore and run to Haruka, embrace her and weeping inside her chest.

Haruka " I am sorry Shu, I can't do anything before. I am really sorry." I know what she means and I know she mistook my cries for losing Mana and the tragedy that happens. Actually, I just glad to saw her once more. I swear to myself to make Haruka happier this time, I also going to become a good child for her.

After some time passed, we no longer crying and just stay embracing each other, trying to find something that lost. Haruka break the silence by saying "Are you hungry?". I just nod my head to answer it.

She carries me in her arms. I forget that I just 10 years old brat. Damn!

I stay clinging in her arms. Haruka opens new cup ramen and pours it with hot water.

When I see it, I know that I need to get a cooking skill so that Haruka can eat more healthy food.

I find that Haruka feels uncomfortable with her arms that carries me. So I volunteer myself to get down from her hand. I really find Haruka smells so comfortable even though it's full of smells like beer. But there is a special feeling that makes me think of home in her smells.

We stay silent during our dinner, nobody is trying to break the ice. I also trying to figure out everything that I need to do from now on. Now I am coming to the past I must bring happiness to all person that precious to me. Especially Inori, I wonder when will I see her again. When I just feeling melancholic by remembering the past. Haruka bring me back to the present.

Haruka "Shu, after you finish your dinner, back to sleep. I will protect you from now on"

I hear Haruka determination in her voice. But, It's my duty to protect you Haruka, I will make you proud as my mother. I smile as I thought about it. I just nod to answer Haruka question.

Shu " Will you sleep with me Haruka?" Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to take advantage of Haruka, I really feel Haruka as my mother!

Haruka "Ok sweetheart" I see her smile when she answers it.

Haruka finishes her meal, and I also finish it a minutes after her. Haruka takes my empty cup ramen and dumps it. I come to her room and see Haruka also coming behind me. She sits in her bed and pat side of her bed to tell me to come. I sleep in her bed in my 10 years old body. I snuggle my body to Haruka and hug her arms. I feel really safe right now. I forgot how it feels after so many years in the past. Haruka just smiling at my behaviour and pat my head slowly and slowly. I close my eyes and hope that this isn't a dream.

I hear the voice thin out bit by bit until it disappears completely. I don't have a chance to talk at all before I feel something suck me out from this space.

I wake up in the same ceiling as yesterday. I feel grateful for the voice that gives me a redo. I promise to live a life full of love this time.

I look up at the bright sky from the windows and thank him silently in my heart.
