99 Section 98: The Calm Before the Storm

Aria is a vulnerable woman, hidden under the layer of her ruthlessness. She confessed to me that she's not worth liking because of her sins. The scarlet-haired girl confessed that she lied to me that night, she killed Vladimir's people instead of disarming them like what she promised. A desperate measure called for desperate actions, that I do understand.

However, rather than feeling angry at her, I couldn't help but feel guilty. She smeared her hands with the blood of innocents and evils, for the sake of Caleb's group. I selfishly asked to keep everyone alive, that request itself must have been tough for her. Aria never truly loved herself. 

She despised herself with all her fiber beings. Aria called herself weak and unworthy, but I find her more than what she believed in. 

"I lied to you a lot" Aria turned away her bright red gaze. "I killed people when you're not there".

I nodded at her answer.
