86 Section 85: Boys Talk during Apocalypse

(Flashback before Aria and Joel departure)

Joel POV

I woke up in the middle of the night, I wanted to go to the toilet because of the cold temperature. When I returned from the toilet, I saw Kallen quietly sobbed at the furthest corner. He folded his legs and covered his face with both of his hands. He looks as if he had a nightmare.

"What's the wrong little man?" I poked his shoulder and sat next to him.

Kallen's looks pretty messed up, his eyes drenched with tears and he couldn't stop his sobs.

"I'm sorry, am I loud?" he asked me politely.

"Not at all Kallen" I chuckled. "I just happened to see you're here".

"I see" he pondered with a long face.

I closed the gap between us, he looks like he needs counseling or encouragement. 

"So what happened?" I asked the teenage boy.

He clutched his chest and stuttered uncontrollably with a small voice.

"I dreamed about my past".
