The god Of Sword-Play.

***

Every 300 years or so, a warrior is born. One with unparalleled, remarkable abilities. A warrior capable of reducing entire planetary regions to nothing. This warrior, known by all as a Celestial, either brought great fortune, or even greater disaster.

The last Celestial, was Acaila. She was born a Zerynthian, of the Zerynth Union. The highest and noblest of the twelve great powers. She later reduced them to eight after she and her armies decimated the last four planetary regions during the war of uprising.

She was like a solar flare that annihilated anything in its path. An unavoidable natural disaster. Once she set her sights on you, death was inevitable. She struck fear in the hearts of men, some still curse her to this very day. Even her Zerynthian brothers feared her. No. They feared the power within her.

Alexis, king of the Zerynthians took advantage of her unparalleled military might, to vanquish his enemies. He used her to strategically attack them when they least expected it, and decimated them. When he suggested the submission of the other seven great powers to Zerynthia, it led to the accursed war of uprising. The war that changed everything...

"And then? And then? Tell me more father!" He said excitedly.

His father's eyes went cold as he instinctively grabbed his White-Blade and told him to quiet down.

A loud bang. And the old wooden door came off its hinges and flew right at them. He cleanly sliced it to pieces with magnificent sword-play without even batting an eye.

A voice suddenly said, "Such fine sword-play, you actually turned your sword to a colored-blade? Not bad for Raider scum."

A man clad in red Armor walked into the room. He gave off an intense gaze, as the red color of his eyes stood out in the dark room. It was clear he belonged to the dragon clan, headed by Azure of the Zerynthian army.

"Teaching your son my people's history, are you now, Raider?" He said, with no emotion in his words.

His eyes were cold and dark. You could tell from the aura he gave off that he was an experienced warrior. It was rumoured that children of the Dragon clan were taught to be killers from a young age. And Azure their leader, was a blood thirsty beast who lived for the thrill of War.

"I don't recall inviting you in, foot soldier." The father replied.

"You dare call me a foot soldier? Quite cocky aren't you Raider? Do you realize who the man before you is?" The warrior asked, finally showing a hint of emotion.

"Who you are, is of no importance to me foot soldier. Just leave before lose an arm or two!" The father replied, with an icy glow in his eye.

The warrior let out a hysterical laugh, as he asked, "Is that a threat scum? Do you realize you're speaking to a commander of the eternal dragon Azure's army?"

"Riding on our leader's coattails are we now, foot soldier?" The father said, as if to infuriate him.

"Do you have a death wish or something, Raider scum?" The warrior asked, as he reached for the sheath of his Red-Blade.

The two men stared each other down without a hint of hesitation or fear. One, a commander in the army of a great general, the other, a simple labourer who somehow had a White-Blade. Moments later, they clashed.

As their blades met, it was clear the warrior had an advantage over the labourer. He was bigger and physically stronger than the labourer was. And his fighting experience was as vast as the Caldrian Ocean. However, the labourer small as he was, made up for what he lacked in brute strength and vigour, through his quick witted reactions and high paced Sword-Play.

In terms of Sword-Play alone, the labourer far outshone the commander. And for a moment, it seemed as though the labourer actually overwhelmed him.

"You managed to wound my cheek, Raider scum? Not bad. Very well, allow me to show you my utmost respect, by Awakening my Red-Blade." The commander said, laughing as he wiped the blood off his cheek.

"You've attained Awakening?! And you're still only a commander?!" The labourer asked sounding concerned as he looked over to his son.

"Hahaha, Awakening is mere child's play among those of Lord Azure's Dragon army. To reach commander level, the bare minimum is Fragmentation." The commander said, as he let out an arrogant laugh.

"May the eternal dragon hear my call and burn all to ashes, Awaken Decapitator!" As it heard his call, his blade turned a bright red, as if burning endlessly.

The labourer's face went pale. He knew he was no match for the commander with a blade that didn't recognize him as its master. His ancestor was the original owner of the blade. Five generations of his family had kept it as an heirloom, but they were never able to use it to its full potential.

He looked over to his son, and before he could say anything, his head was instantly decapitated. And the blade flew out his hand, and fell at his son's feet. The labourer was dead.

As if overcome by rage and emotion at the site of his father's lifeless body, a glow unlike any other appeared in the son's eyes. And as their eyes met, it sent a cold chill down the commander's spine. A mere boy was intimidating him. The commander instinctively took up a defensive stance.

"Does the boy scare you?" The voice in his Awakened Red-Blade asked.

"No, but it wouldn't hurt to be cautio...Ahhh!" The Commander let out a loud scream before he could finish what he was saying.

In a mere instant, he had lost his left arm. And as he looked back, he saw the boy, holding the white blade, with that unique glow in his eye.

"Impossible! What kind of blade can cut through Zerynthian Dragon Armor in its normal state?! No. It's not the blade, it's you!" He screamed out.

The White-Blade let out a blinding white glow, a glow brighter than any other. At the same time, the Pillars of Power in all eight of the planetary regions lit up. Signifying the emergence of a new celestial.

As the boy gave the commander a cold stare, he suddenly heard an ominous voice talking to him.

"How long has it been since someone commanded my power? How long has it been since I felt the warmth of one worthy of being called my master? Tell me your name boy, and I will make you a god!"

"Eon" The boy replied.

"A worthy name, for one who will eternally be known as the god of Sword-Play."
