Looking over the huge mountain of documents on his desk, Sarutobi Hiruzen was no longer happy about his reinstatement as Kage.

The general meeting went too hard.The main tension is over the question: what to do with the new nine-tailed jinchuriki.

Danzo was off the chain, wanting to take him to the Root. The elders supported the Root leader, but the clan leaders and many jounin were vehemently opposed.

Among the clans there were quite a few willing to shelter the orphan jinchuriki.

This is where their unanimity came to an end. Each nominated his own candidate and rejected the others. In the end, Hiruzen had to intervene.After much debate, it was decided that there should be total non-interference in the life of the jinchuuriki and that information about him should be classified.

Hiruzen was just as worried about the jinchuuriki as he was about Danzo's strange swarming, if not more so.The infant looked at him too understandingly and studying at the time.He don't want to get another coming of the Fox.

That's why he asked Inoichi Yamanaka to check Naruto's mind for the nine-tails' influence and to put a couple of tabs on it just in case.

A few hours later, Inoichi Yamanaka entered the hokage's office by knocking quietly. At the sight of him, Sarutobi choked on smoke.

- What happened? - Hokage couldn't contain his excitement.

Inoichi looked up at him with an exhausted look. Hiruzen had often seen this look in wartime fighters who had miraculously escaped from some bloody carnage.

Only now did Hokage notice glimmers of gray in Yamanaka's hair and his general pallor. When he squinted, he also noticed his low chakra level.

- I completed the Naruto check at your request - Inoichi answered in a quiet, monotone voice.

-And what did you find out?" Hiruzen tensed up, expecting the worst.

- A check revealed no, even minimal, influence of the Kyubi chakra on Naruto's mind.

There is no sign of any other interference in his mind. I was also able to see that Uzumaki had an unknown defense to his consciousness that could not be overcome.

- What about an extra assignment? - Hokage asked calmly and relaxed.

- That's impossible! I won't go there again! - Yamanaka almost jumped up from the couch screaming.

After sending Inoichi home with a week's leave, Hiruzen reflected heavily on the current situation with Naruto.

It's a good thing the boy's mind is not affected by Fox. That's where the good news ends. Naruto's impenetrable defenses require time to investigate, and there's no time.Danzo has already sniffed it out, so now it's up to him to fight off his prying interest.

The village is in shambles. The first tasks are to rebuild the village's defenses and restore the economy associated with the missions. A battle is a battle, but losing the trust of wealthy regulars will cost Konoha dearly. A sea of other matters also requires close attention.

Hiruzen reasoned sensibly that solving pressing matters is more important, and Naruto isn't going anywhere. It would be enough to temporarily assign a guard to him. So the matter of the last Uzumaki was postponed until better times....
