6 6. BAD NEWS 1
"Let's get this over with, it better be worth my time". Jiseok said before walking towards the door. He turned back and looked at Hangul.
"Are you coming or do you need an invitation?"
Hangul quickly recovered from his shock and quickly left with Jiseok. He quickly tested, 'we are on our way'.
Mia and Taner just finished wearing their dress and were currently debating on shoe.
Taner was wearing a beautiful red off shoulder blouse that has an open back and v-neck, paired with a red mini skirt with black net design. She was wearing a black jade necklace which has a red heart shaped pendant, and a simple pair of black pearl earring.
"Now for the finishing touch for this dress, red eight inch stilettos". Mia said grinning and gestures for the shop assistant to bring the shoe.
"You must be joking; you know I can't wear those heels". Taner tried to object.
"Come on, this heels will complete your looks and will lay emphasis on your beautiful long legs". Mia argued back.
"I won't go on the date if you force me to wear those shoes!" she threatened as her last resort.
"How can you wear sneakers with this kind of dress? That is so off fashion", Mia argued back staring at her in horror.
"Who cares? You should be happy I am not even wearing my ripped jeans to this stupid date". Taner hissed.
Mia had no choice but to admit defeat, allowing her to wear her sneakers. 'she is so stubborn, I will let her have her way only for today', she thought to herself signaling for the shop assistant to return the shoe and bring the sneakers due selected previously.
"Alright we are through here, let's go the salon". Mia said giving her card to the shop assistant to foot their bill.
"Thanks for shopping with us Miss Mia Bella". The shop assistant greeted her enthusiastically as she gave her back her card. Mia waved her bye and left with Taner.
"Welcome Miss Mia Bella and your friend, it's lovely to have you here again darling". A guy dressed stylishly with a pink long dyed hair packed in a bun happily greeted them.
"Nice to see you too James, this is my friend Taner, we are going on a double date so I want you to style our hair and do everything". Mia smiled at him.
"Nice to meet you Taner, you have such lovely eyes and skin, I would love to try your skincare routine and definitely try your contacts". James said shaking hands with Taner.
"This is actually my real eyes colour and I don't really use any skincare routine". She said uncomfortably.
"James you are scaring my friend, tone it down a bit".
"I'm so sorry, you are so lucky, anyways I will be your stylist today; please take a seat beautiful so we can get started". He said. Taner smiled and sat down.
"I want to dye my hair a different colour just for today". Taner told him looking at him through the mirror.
"Don't worry beautiful, by the time I'm through you would hardly recognize yourself".
"Wow James you really outdid yourself". Mia said smiling brightly as she looked at Taner.
"Thank you darling, it wasn't easy but I'm glad I was able to pull it off". James said proud of himself. Turning to Taner, he said:
"beautiful you have such a lovely hair, please take care of it, in fact here is my card, you can call me anytime to help you take good care of your hair so it will continue remaining healthy">
"yea". Taner hair was dyed to a light brown colour and was curled in ultra curly curls. He did a simple makeup for her. She looked so beautiful.
"Here is the card and some tips, you deserve it".
Mia received a text and looked at her phone. She smiled to herself.
"Lover boy must be missing you already". Taner teased her. She tried to see the text but Mia immediately closed her phone.
"What did lover boy say that you don't want me to see?" she asked as she tried to snatch the phone from her.
"Nothing that concerns you, we should probably start going". Mia got up, quickly hiding her phone and trying to change the subject.
'She is hiding something that definitely concerns me, but I will just let her have her way only for today', Taner thought to herself staring at her. Mia avoided her gaze guiltily.
Luckily for her, James came back with her card. "Thanks for the tip darling, have fun with your date".
"We definitely will bye James".
Mia and Taner left the mall and went to the parking lot. The driver quickly opened the door for them. Mia happily entered while Taner smiled at him.
"Thank you", and entered. Leo was surprised by her sweet gesture and just nodded his head.
Mia quickly sent a reply, 'we are on our way there'.
Ji-woo heard the door opening and quickly went to see who it was. She walked to the living room only to see Lu Ling sitting as if the whole world was crashing down.
"What's wrong?" she asked sitting beside him. He didn't reply to her as he was so lost in his thinking that he didn't even notice she was sitting beside him. She touched his hand gently and asked again
"What's wrong?"
With tears in his eyes, he looked at her, "I.... have... been..... Fired".
Ji-woo were shocked, she couldn't believe her ears, she looked at Lu Ling and laughed, "You are such a good joker, but it's not funny".
Suddenly, he burst out crying, "I wish me really I'm lying, I really wish, I'm so sorry".
Ji-woo was shocked, she had never seen him crying before, no matter the hardship that they faced together, he was always positive and would always encourage her looking at the bright side, but today, seeing him like this, she felt her heart was pierced by a sharp arrow.
"I'm sorry, I can't provide for you and our daughter, I'm so useless". Lu Ling cried more. He thought about all the hardship his wife and his daughter have experienced. Thinking about it only made him cry more
"I failed as a husband and a dad".
"Stop saying that you are useless, I don't regret choosing you over everything". She said pulling him closer to her and hugging him tightly. Only God knows how much she lost just to follow him because she loved him, and how he saved her from herself.
Suddenly, they heard a knock on the door.
