10 10. GLUTTON TANER

The light in the operating room finally turned green. The doctor finally came out and Ji-woo immediately ran to him.

"Su Woobin". She said relieved to know it was him in the operating room.

"Hey Ji, longest time". Su Woobin replied taking off his mask and gloves.

"How is Ling?" she asked hurriedly.

"He….where is Taner?" he said trying to change the topic. He didn't know how he was going to bring himself to tell her so he rather speaks to Taner directly.

"She is not here, I haven't told her yet, now stop trying to change the topic and answer me". She said angrily, glaring at him.

"He...is in a very critical condition, he had a very serious heart attack and I wouldn't have been able to save him if he wasn't bought in time, has anything bad happened to you guys recently?"

"Can I see him please?" Ji-woo pleaded. She couldn't calm down except she saw him and she knew Woobin can never refuse her.

"His condition is very critical and I shouldn't allow you see him yet…..but…just five minutes". He reluctantly allowed her; it was not as if he could even stop her in the first place. Ji-woo immediately ran inside the room.

He watched her back as she ran towards the direction of the room. He remembered the time when he was madly in love with her, maybe he still is but he could not tell her. His secret love must be buried deep in his heart and must not see the light.

Ji-woo entered the room trying to remain calm. She saw the machines supporting Lu Ling. She couldn't stop herself from crying and the calm façade she had was completely shattered.

She hugged him and cried, "Please stay with me, I love you, please….don't….lea…me….too". Her voice started breaking as she continued crying. Anybody passing could hear her heartbreaking tears.

"Such a beautiful woman watching the love of her life slipping away is the most painful and sad scene I have ever seen". One of the nurses couldn't help but say.

"This is my friend, Lu Taner; Tan this is my lovely boyfriend Hangeul oppa". Mia happily introduced the two of them.

'So this is the guy who has the audacity to plan a double date'. Taner stared at him menacingly wanting to murder him before nodding indifferently towards him. Hangeul was crying silently and didn't understand the look he just received.

'Shit how can I forget this big Buddha who is here'. Hangeul shivered as he thought.

"Oh sorry, Bell and Taner, meet my buddy Jiseok, we have been best friends since we were in diapers". He quickly introduced them remembering his friend had threatened to kill him if he told them who he really was.

Mia looked at him suspiciously before smiling sweetly at Jiseok, "Hi nice to meet you, I'm Mia Bella but most people call me Mia". She introduced herself stretching her hands to shake him but he just starred at her expressionless. Mia withdrew her hands awkwardly. Taner chooses to ignore him and didn't bother saying anything.

'So arrogant', she thought.

Taner was lost in her thought as she examined him while the others were busy having a conversation. He was a walking Greek god with a cold devilishly kingly aura that wanted to suppress all into submission. He did a mid fade with side parting and long fringe styling with his dark sleek curly brown hair with a touch of platinum blond at the tips. He has an ivory light skin.

He was wearing a perfectly fitted and well ironed jade blue suit and black Italian shoe. He was wearing gold glasses to cover his eyes.

Just by looking at his muscles one could tell that he probably has eight packs. Only one word could come to Taner mind as she continued staring at him,

'Sin'. He was a walking sin. Taner was still quietly examining him and didn't notice everyone was staring at her waiting for her to order.

"Earth to Lu Taner!!" Mia said quietly kicking her under the table.

Taner immediately came back to her senses as she stared at them embarrassedly.

"Miss what would you like to have?" the waiter asked her again. Taner cleared her throat awkwardly as she stared seriously at the menu.

'So many yummy foods, they all look so delicious that I want to try at least six of them'. She thought to herself grinning like a little child and salivating.

"I will have bulgogi, dak galbi, saengseon GUI, chicken salad, chop suey and bindaettok". She listed everything seriously, grinning and salivating already imagining eating it. She didn't care about the shock expression in Hangeul and Jiseok faces.

Mia wanted to run and hid as she stared at her friend speechlessly. What did she expect from a glutton who was let on the loose?

"What wine would you like and dessert?" the waiter asked trying to control his expression as he stared at her.

"Hmm… I will have sikye and for dessert, I will have tteokbokki and chimichanca". Taner replied salivating. The waiter left with an expression between shock and tears.

Jiseok couldn't contain his shock and took off his glasses to look at the girl clearly. She wasn't chubby but rather has a slim and well toned body with an hour glass figure. She even looked slimmer than a person on diet and he wouldn't believe anyone if he didn't witness it with his own eyes.

Taner looked at him with her violet eyes and was mesmerized by his deep ocean blue eyes. She couldn't take her eyes off him. He couldn't resist the urge to ask her again,

"Are you wearing contacts?"

She looked at him surprised by his question, "No, my mom has violet eyes and it is kind of our thing". She replied smiling sheepishly as she told a little white lie. Mia raised her eyebrow looking at her.

'Interesting', he thought to himself. Just then the waiter came with their food. On seeing the big meal, Taner was so happy.

'How can she eat all this food? This girl is very interesting; she doesn't mind if people are staring at her, she is very different from other girls', Jiseok thought observing her eating.

Taner phone suddenly rang interrupting her joyful eating.
