1 1. WAKE UP!

A beautiful girl lay peacefully on her queen size bed enjoying her sleep. The door squeaked open as a girl with blond straight hair tied in a ponytail, with her beautiful warm golden yellow shade of skin and arched shaped eyebrow with chubby cheeks. Her silver eyes shone mischievously as she stared at the girl sleeping peacefully.

'She looks so peaceful enjoying her sleep, I feel like a villain right now but I have to do this, after all, pay back is a bitch'. She happily thought. She tiptoed quietly to the side of the bed and stood firmly and screamed loudly:

"TANER!!!"

Due to the shock, the girl on the bed jumped off the bed and landed on the floor hardly.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAAHA"

Taner got up from the floor groaning and glaring fiercely at the intruder.

"What the heck is wrong with you!!!!" she yelled angrily, feeling like strangling her. She was having such a wonderful dream, she caught a fat giant chicken and just finished spicing and grilling it, but was suddenly woken up just when she was about to have a taste of the delicious spicy chicken. She angrily stood up from the ground rubbing her aching butt.

Mia couldn't stop laughing, "You should have seen your face, you were like Ahhhhhhh!!"

"If you weren't my best friend, I would have killed you right now". Taner said angrily, climbing back to her bed.

"You had saliva all over your face, don't tell me you were dreaming about food again?" she looked at her incredulously.

"Yea, this time it was a sweet spicy fat delicious chicken, I was about to take a bite after all my hard work but somebody just had to choose to wake me now".

Mia rolled her eyes and muttered, "Glutton".

"Anyway, I have good news". Mia said excitedly, "guess who got asked out on a date?"

Taner pretended not to hear anything and ignore her completely.

"ME!! You are no fun; you could have at least pretended to be interested".

"So what does that have to do with me?" Taner asked uninterested in her news.

"So you know I have been telling you about that cute guy I have a crush on and how we have been hanging out together lately…."

"Just get to the point already". Taner cut her off not interested in hearing the whole story.

"So, I think I really like this guy a lot and he is going to be the one".

" That's the same thing you keep saying about the other guys too". Taner grumbled closing her eyes.

" No this one is definitely different from the rest; anyway, we are going shopping to find the perfect dress for me". Mia said only to look at Taner who was pretending to be sleeping. She hit her hard.

"Ouch, what was that for?"

"Stop pretending, I know you heard me loud and clear, get your lazy ass up". Taner still refused to get up.

"If you don't get up yourself, I'm going to pour you water and soak your bed, you know I can". She threatened. Taner grumbled and sat up, accepting her fate. She knew Mia is a crazy girl and will definitely do what she says. She reluctantly entered the bathroom while Mia smiled victoriously.

Thirty minutes later,

Taner came out of her walk-in closet wearing a black ripped jean pant with a long sleeve black shirt tied around her waist, a white crop top and black boot. Her dark wavy red hair was left freely with her bangs arranged neatly. She applied little lipstick as makeup.

"About time, I was about to bust inside if you took more time". Mia said getting up from the bed. She looked at her dressing and couldn't help frowning.

"Must you dress like this?"

"I either go like this or I'm not going at all".

"Whatever, let's go". They were about to leave the room when Mia stomach growled loudly.

She pouted her lips and smiled sheepishly, making puppy eyes with drop of tears coming from her eyes, she looked at Taner and said; "seems like I'm hungry, can…. I eat the cupcakes aunty is baking? I did not eat from home".

Taner looked at her and laughed evilly, 'I will tease her a little', she thought to herself. Putting her poker face on she turned and looked at her friend, "No, you have to choose between eating cupcakes and shopping, which is more important to you?"

Mia burst into tears on hearing the question.

'What the fuck! She should have been an actress; I don't have time for this let's just allow her eat her cupcake', Taner could not take it again. "Go and eat your cup…" before she could finish her sentence, Mia ran out of the room quickly.

'I better leave fast before she calls me back and changes her mind, no one can stop me from eating those delicious cupcakes', Mia thought to herself as she ran downstairs smiling mischievously. Taner laughed speechlessly and went down.

THE KITCHEN

"We have to tell Taner the truth, she deserves to know". Lu Ji-woo told her husband looking worriedly.

"We can't tell her yet, I will think of a way to get the money but for now we have to keep it a secret, I don't want Taner to get worried, I will tell her when I have exhausted all my effort". Lu Ling replied, trying to comfort his wife. He knows once his daughter finds out about their situation she would work harder than before just to gather enough money. Besides he still has a backup plan.

Ji-woo just looked at her husband and decide to support him. She was still thinking of the loan she secretly applied for without telling her husband.

"Everything will be okay; I promise you, just trust your husband and leave everything to me". Lu Ling hugged Ji-Woo and kissed her on her cheeks.

Mia bounced into the kitchen only to see this intimate atmosphere. Ji-woo blushed slightly and pushed her husband quickly.
