16 crash and burn

3rd person.

Like a meteorite, the large C-17 came crashing to the earth.

In a large explosion, the night sky lit in a red hue, as the plane hit the ground, a quarter of a mile from the Kandahar air base.

______

KAF control tower. (Kandahar airfield)

"Sir, aircraft C-17 QZ11-2217 just dropped off radar." An air man sitting at a radar, yelled over the busy control tower, to his commanding officer, a newly promoted major James Rhodes.

"What was their last transmission?" major Rhodes, asked as he quickly walked over to the air man's station.

"I gave them the green light for their approach Sir, but then they went dark, and started moving away from the airfield sir." The airman said, as he looked up at Rhodes.

Rhodes looked at the airman's radar, for a moment, wondering if it was some malfunction, when another air man in the tower yelled.

"SIR!"

Rhodes turned to look over at the man, to see him pointing out one of the large windows, west, towards the approach end of the runway.

Now with more urgency, major Rhodes walked over to look at what the airman was pointing at.

In the distance, he could see a large plume of red rising up towards the sky.

Wide eyed, Rhodes shouted, "Get the base commander on the line, now!"

On one of the many sandy dunes that surrounded the Kandahar air base, a bald headed man watched as the large plane fell into a nosedive and crashed into the ground, right in front of him, where he saw everything happen with his own eyes.

The large fireball, shot straight up in a magnificent display, of what those new Stark weapons could do.

Coming up behind his leader, a rather fat man with a beard whose name was Abu Bakaar spoke.

"Very impressive."

The bald man named Raza smirked.

"Indeed."

"That American said, as long as we use them against the soldiers, he will give us as many weapons we could ever use?" Abu laughed.

"Yes he did, and with them we will rule this land." Raza said, as an evil smile grew on his face, as he pulled a large antenna phone from a bag at his side.

____________

Sitting at his large desk. Obadiah stane, wrote his approval on a few papers, as the large TV on the wall of his office played.

"Billionaire playboy Tony Stark is at it again, as he was spotted leaving the Wynn casino last evening, with this month's playboy magazine's front page model in arm." the news anchor said, with a chuckle.

Stopping for just a moment to shake his head at what he heard, Obadiah continued to go through his paperwork, but was interrupted by the buzz of one of his phones.

Pulling out the black flip phone he used for his off the books deals, he flipped it open and put it to his ear.

"Yes" he said, then slowly leaned back in his chair.

"Really" he said, in a happy tone.

"Good…Good." He said, with a laugh.

"Well then, since you held up your end of the deal, I will hold up mine. Expect a shipment soon" Obadiah said, before closing the phone, and letting out a loud laugh.

Standing up from his desk, he made his way to one end of his large office, where he kept his most extensive liquor.

Grabbing the cream of the crop, most expensive bottles he had, Obadiah poured himself a large portion of the alcohol, before capping the bottle and walking across the office to stand in front of the TV, which had a picture of that spoiled little brat with some red head, plastered on it.

Rising the glass glencairn, Obadiah gave a toast to the TV and said.

"Here's to you Tony, you are going to make me all the more powerful with your technology, as I take what's mine." Before he downed his drink in one large pull.

[Crash sight]

A line of humvees raced down a dirt path in the direction of the blazing fire, at their max speeds, causing the large vehicles to shake and rattle like mad, as they hauled ass towards the crash sight.

But flying overhead, a black hawk passed the convoy.

On one knee by the open doors, a new soldier who had only been in the country for a month, watched, as the crash came into view.

"Fuck" Riley said, as his face was lit by the red glow of the fire.

"There's no way anyone could survive that." Sam Wilson said, as the black hawk started to come to a mid air halt.

Pushing the fast descent rope out the side door, Sam watched as Riley and the other members of his squad went down, before he followed last.

Sam's feet hit the ground with a thud, before he crouched down, to let the helicopter's air wash, fly over him, and away from the blaze.

Once the air settled a bit, Sam stood and looked around.

In front of him, was the large inferno of debris and other plane parts, that was scattered in almost all directions.

While to his sides, was the rest of his squad.

"We need to make sure no civilians come to the crash site and start taking parts, before the investigation teams get here." Riley said, as he directed the members of the team.

_____________

Standing in front of one of the large glass windows that lined his office.

Alexander pierce looked east, as he waited for the sun to rise.

He had always been an early riser, with plenty to fill his days, it had become a habit.

Just like the lie he lived.

To the public eye he was the secretary to the counsel of shield, while In the dark, he was one of the ruthless heads of hydra, who would do anything to gain what he wanted.

Breaking from his thoughts at the sound of his doors opening.

Alexander turned to see one of his newest hydra operatives, Brock Rumlow, who was a member of one of shields strike teams, enter the room.

He was carrying a folder, as he walked in.

"Sir, we just got this from the CIA." Brock said as he handed Alexander the folder.

"Thank you, that will be all." Alexander said, as he opened the folder without looking up at Brock.

Reading through the folder, Alexander couldn't help but chuckle at what he read.

These were the things Pierce lived for, the chaos of the world.

And it seems the middle east was starting to pick up.

______________

Under one of the many pieces of debris that was scattered across hundreds of feet in all directions.

Andrew's lifeless body lies under a heavy smoldering piece of machinery. His body burnt and mangled.

His lifeless eyes, glossed over, and staring off into nothingness.

But this is not where his story ends.

Slowly something started to happen to him.

A light blue shimmer started to wash over his body, then Soft cracking sounds could be heard, as the broken bones started to realign and heal themselves back together.

Once that was completed, his burnt skin started to heal itself back to normal skin, instead of charred flesh.

And his insides started to nitt themselves back into working order.

Then those eyes that were only moments ago lifeless, had a spark lit behind them, as his eyelids started to flutter, and the light blue glow started to recede from his skin.

"Uhh" Andrew managed to get past his dried up lips, as immense pain washed over his battered body.

As his consciousness blurred in and out, he started to feel something completely new fill him, and a part of his consciousness stored it in the back of his mind.

A warmth, an energy…a power.

As the last ounce of energy in his body started to leave. Andrew managed to push himself to the side, and get the heavy metal that was pushing him down, off his back, and allowing him to roll to his side and breathe in a lung full of smokey air, causing him to cough.

"Hey! Over here." A voice called out, off to Andrew's right.

But before he could tell if that voice was his savior or a delusion, his cautiousness fled him again.

___________

Going around the perimeter of the crash site, Sam tried to look away from the still burning crash, and instead out into the darkness, for any enemy.

As he walked, his food hit something and sent it tumbling forward.

Looking down at what he accidentally kicked, a sickness rose up in his throat.

It was a chard hand and forearm that had a tattoo right above the bloody ending.

Sam had to raise his hand to cover his mouth, so he wouldn't vomit.

Looking away from the first gruesome sight in his career, Sam had to spit to get the taste of bile out of his mouth.

Wiping at his mouth, Sam saw something light up in the right side of his vision.

Unlike the usual reds of the smoldering fires, it was a soft blue hue.

Turning to look directly at where he saw the glow, Sam blinked a few times, as It was gone, the glow he had seen disappeared, and he couldn't see it any more.

But before Sam turned to look back out, and away from the fire, something else caught his eye.

'Movement' Sam thought, as he took a step forward.

As Sam watched, he saw one of the many pieces of debris start to move, then to his disbelief, Sam saw someone under the piece of metal.

"Hey, over here!" He shouted out to his squad members, as he took off towards the survivor.

Reaching the figure in only a handful of strides, Sam dropped down to his knees by the figure, as he looked him over.

The man was young, perhaps in his early 20s, with dirty blond hair.

The man's clothes were mostly just burnt strips of fabric, while blood covered most of his body, but he was breathing…barely.

His breaths were short and labored, which wasn't a good sign.

Not wanting to do any unnecessary movements, just in case the man had any spinal injuries, Sam waited for the squad's radio operator to reach him so they could call the black hawk back to get this man out of here.

I know this chapter might have given you whiplash, but I really wanted it to start feeling like it's marvel and not just some military fic.

His powers in this chapter are vague, but in the next few chapters it will be explored more.

Just remember, his eyes in the photos I posted don't look blue in all of them, just a few, and when they are blue they are very blue.

[This chapter hasn't been checked for spelling and grammar yet, if you find anything let me know, and I will fix it as soon as possible]
