Chapter 30

"C-mon." Said Leonard, moving the tail of his eye as a signal for Calista to rush out of the car.

"Why are you guys taking so long? Where have you been, huh?"

"We both bought snacks first," Leonard replied as he lifted the snack he was carrying. After that, he led Calista to sit next to him. Of course, his attitude further explained the bond between them.

Kiara and Matius just looked at each other and remained silent because they didn't want to make both of them awkward.

After eating lunch, Leonard immediately invited them back to the office.

"Just a minute, Leo, there's still 25 minutes left."

"If you still want to be here, sure, but Calista and I have to get back to the office now."

"Then you go first."

Leonard immediately asked Calista to get out of there, not wasting time. Meanwhile, Kiara and Matius seemed to be busy talking about them.

"I'm sure they have a special relationship." Kiara was convinced.

"Even if so, why? Are you jealous?" Matius replied.

"Of course not, but, Matius,"

"What?"

"Forget it."

"What, Kia? Don't make me curious!" Are you jealous of them? But you're already engaged."

Not even answering, Kiara invited Matius back to the office. Still, Matius rejected her invitation because he wanted to enjoy rest time.

"If you still want to stay here, it's up to you, but I have to go back to the office." Said Kiara

"Okay, okay, but answer me, are you jealous?"

"Jealous of what?"

"See, right? If you don't have feelings for Leo, you shouldn't be cynical."

"Listen, Matius, don't be a know-it-all person! You suck!"

Unlike Matius and Kiara, who were involved in a short argument, the lovebirds were intoxicated with romance. They kissed romantically so that they forgot where they were.

Even though Leonard's car window was dark, the engine was running. Of course, it made the security at the restaurant wonder.

Realising that the security was approaching the car, Leonard immediately drove the car out of the restaurant. In contrast, Calista was cursing her stupidity.

So far, she has continuously been fed with her old principles, but why was it now like this?

Even though what she was doing was just a kiss, she should have been able to control herself. She didn't have a clue why Leonard's charm could ensnare her so firmly. Leonard really made her helpless.

"Don't come home too late today. I want to take you somewhere."

"Where?"

"If I say it now, it's not a surprise."

"Tell me now!"

"Be patient, baby!"

"It's great to keep people curious."

Calista was upset. She then walked out of the elevator first, but someone dragged her into a very dark hallway after only a few steps.

"Honey, what are you doing? Please, we're in..." before finishing her sentence, a warm kiss covered her lips.

At first, Leonard just wanted to kiss her briefly, but her lips were like a magnet, pulling him so firmly that he lost control.

Calista seemed to take as much oxygen as possible to flow through her lungs, which were about to burst.

"Leo, control yourself! It's in the office, and I don't want anyone to talk about us. It's unprofessional." Calista was upset.

"Then can you control yourself too, baby?"

"You started first!"

"And you enjoyed it, didn't you?"

"Ah, whatever! It's useless to talk to you!"

"Wait, baby." Leonard was half running to keep up with Calista's footsteps.

Not wanting others to suspect, Calista immediately distanced herself so that his sturdy arms that were wrapped around her slender waist just slipped away.

Calista was too busy working and didn't realise the time was at 7 in the evening.

Her gaze was fixed on the parcel on the table Leonard had given her after lunch. She was curious about its contents, so she intended to open it.

"Evening dress," Calista muttered to herself.

She then remembered her conversation this afternoon with Leonard.

'So, Leo wants me to wear this dress,' Calista thought while attaching a black dress that reached ankle length. No slits and sleeves, but this dress looked expensive.

"Why don't you wear it right away, baby?"

Of course, the baritone voice that came suddenly made Calista jump in surprise.

"Knock the door first, please. You always give me a heart attack."

"Sorry."

Leonard immediately asked Calista to change clothes, but she refused. However, the employees have gone home but not with security. And this was sure to be the subject of gossip.

"Then where do you want to change, baby? In the car. What if I see it, hum?"

"I'll go back to the apartment first."

"Baby, we don't have much time, and we're very late."

"Where are you taking me anyway?"

"Don't ask too many questions. Come on!" Leonard immediately led Calista to the car. He let Calista change in the car while he waited outside.

Shortly after, Leonard glanced at the clock on his wrist. He felt restless because it was too late.

'Oh baby, why are you taking so long just to change clothes? Are all women really this hassle?' Leonard whispered in his heart, wondering.

Leonard wanted to open the car door, but he didn't want to make Calista scream hysterically. In the end, he decided to wait until his feet tingled.

Somehow, the wait was worth it with Calista's appearance tonight. The dress fit Calista's body perfectly. Her long hair was curled up, showing a long neck.

"Beautiful." Leonard praised Calista.

When he wanted to caress the top of her head, Calista immediately brushed him off because she didn't like the hairdo without the spray to be damaged.

Leonard only smiled, seeing his woman worried. He then drove the car at high speed.

Not long after, the car had stopped in front of a five-star hotel. Calista wondered why Leonard brought her to this place.

"Of course for dinner, baby."

"But why here?"

"You'll find out later."

"Leo!"

Leonard smiled with a locking gaze.

"Come on down and get the answer in there." Leonard invited her while intertwining his fingers between her lover's tiny fingers.
