19 CHAPTER NINETEEN

Years passed by and James did not return. Dave and Mira had taken their relationship to the next level. They were to get married soon. Mira threatened to cut ties with me if I didnt bring James back for their wedding. "How am I supposed to bring him back?" I asked. "This" she said pointing to my heart "Can bring him back" Her words got me thinking for days. After thinking without getting an idea on what she meant, I went to meet mum.

Mum smiled when I told her everything. "You have to figure it out yourself" mum said. I decided to take my mind off it. I was beginning to miss him. He didnt bother to call me all these years. Did he leave because of me? I just want him to come back quickly. I think I'm in love with James. I want him back. I need to tell him. That's the way to bring him back. Now I understand how to bring him back. I went to meet David. "Call James, I have something very important to tell him" I said. "Tell me first" he said "I love him. I'm in love with James. I've been so oblivious all these years and ignored his feelings for me. I've been hurting him unintentionally." I said. "Twas about time. Thank God you realize that now" Dave said happily. Dave told everyone and they were so happy. It seems they were waiting for this day.

I woke up as my nose picked up a familiar scent. I sat up and looked around my room. My eyes caught a figure reading a magazine on the only couch in my room. I didnt process what i saw. I layed back down and closed my eyes. Then suddenly i jumped out of bed screaming the whole house down. The person sitting on the couch stood up and without warning i jumped on him. Everyone came into my room in a hurry. They all started laughing. "You called him back" I said excitedly. "No. You called him back" Dave said and they all walked out of my room smiling. "Why did you cut me off?" I asked. "I didnt want you to beg me to come back. I was tired of waiting. I thought you would never return my feelings. Then I decided to leave for a while to get over my feelings for you." James said. I fully understood what he meant. "I'm sorry for keeping you waiting and hurting you all these years" I said. "Its okay. Its worth it" he said with a smile. "Freshen up and come downstairs" James said. He pecked my cheeks before leaving. I'm sooo happy right now.
