15 CHAPTER FIFTEEN

After dinner, I pulled Mira into my room. "Its not what you think" she said immediately we entered my room. "What do I think?" I asked her. She looked everywhere but me. "Eyes on me, young lady" i said authoritatively. She looked at me briefly before looking away. "Mira, you're in love with my brother, arent you?" I asked calmly. "No" she said looking at her fingers. I scoffed "Really?" I asked. She didnt reply. I smiled. I wonder why she keeps denying it when its very obvious.

Dave burst into my room before I could say anything and I groaned. Dave has a very bad habit of barging into my room without knocking. "Hi girls" he said walking further into the room. "Get out" i said "What?" he asked shocked and confused. "Now!" I screamed pointing towards the door and he left. "What was that for?" Mira asked. "You know he doesnt like being yelled at" she added and I sighed. "Then he should stop entering my room without knocking" "You should have told him nicely" Mira said, stood up and left.

I went to apologize to Dave for yelling at him. "It's fine. I really should learn to knock" he said smiling. I smiled too, relieved that he wasn't upset with me.

I was working in Smith Empire as the Human Resources Manager. Dad didnt let me drive myself to work, if he didnt drive me then the driver did. I was enjoying my stay in the Smith Empire. Everyone was nice to me except a lady that hated me for a reason I didnt know.

After a stressful day, I got home very tired but I didnt see anyone. Strange, cos mum is always at home. "Mum" i called going up the stairs. I knocked on her room door but there was no response. I entered only to be greeted by an empty room. I sighed and wanted to walk out but my eyes caught some papers on the bed. I wanted to walk out but my legs moved me towards the bed. It was as if I was in a trance as I picked the papers and checked them one by one. For a moment I didnt remember how to breathe. This isnt possible. I'm not seeing right. My head felt light all of a sudden. I didnt know what happened next but all I saw was total darkness.
