3 Trouble and Danger.

Lucile and her sister didn't have much work to do so the farm work was finished before the end of midday. As they made their way home, Lucile decided to stop at the market to buy some fruits and provisions for their journey. As they made their way to the market, Lucile noticed the crowd up ahead and was wondering what had happened when suddenly she saw a man moving through the bushes.

"Excuse me, sir?" Lucile called as she caught full sight of the man.

The man did not answer her but went on his way. Lucile then held her sister's hand tightly realizing that for the man to be so careful to the point of hiding in the bushes meant that the cause of the crowd was either road bandits or something else that did not bode well for them. She quickly turned around forgetting the market and only thought of getting her sister home safely. As she turned to leave, she suddenly felt something pulling her backward. Slowly she turned her head to look at what it was and at that moment she wishes she hadn't.

"Leaving so soon?" the man how held her hand tightly asked with a terrifying grin.

Lucile was terrified and couldn't move or speak. Her body reacted quickly and she pushed the man away and ran as quickly as she could holding her sister as tightly as possible. They ran into the forest that led to the wood farms so as to lose them faster. She knew that they were still chasing them and so she decided to take the hidden trail that led to an abandoned temple.

Although it was an abandoned temple, Lucile had been going there since she found out about the temple 4 years ago so she knew most of the entrances and exits. As they ran further into the temple, it seemed that the people chasing them had stopped but she did not want to take any risky chances so she went deeper and deeper into the temple. After running for a while, she decided to stop. She had been carrying her sister for a long time now and so her arms were going numb and she was tired.

"What happened? Why are we running?" her sister asked at last worried.

"Some bad people were chasing us." Lucile did not hide the truth from her sister since they were in an alarming situation.

"Why are they chasing us? Did we do something bad?" the little girl asked looking concerned. For as long as she knew her big sister, she has never done anything to offend someone before.

As they were resting, Lucile suddenly heard footsteps approaching them and she began to panic 'how could they catch up so quickly?' In her panic and attempt to get up, she accidentally touched something and the floor beneath them parted and they fell.
