5 Temple of the Goddess: Awakening; part 1

"When will she wake up?"

"I don't know."

"It's been about 11,380 years since someone came through the trial tunnel."

"Could she be the new goddess?"

"I'm not sure. Nothing's certain yet."

"How about the little one in her arms. Judging from the way she's holding her, it seems that they are close."

"Sisters maybe?"

"Possibly."

"If she is the new goddess, which kingdom is responsible for her care."

"None."

"Why?"

"You're new here so you probably won't know but each race brings forth a total of two men and four women each. They would all bear seals on separate parts of their bodies that are visible to the eye. Then, they would begin their quest to find the temple."

"Okay. But those seals, do they hold something?"

"Yes. In fact, they seal the powers of the people brought forth by the different races."

"That's enough. Let's take the girls into the inner chamber."

Lucile felt something warm on her face and someone holding her tightly. As she began to recollect what had happened the day before, she heard sudden movements close to her and she opened her eyes to meet the gaze of the morning sun and the sleeping face of her lovely little sister. She looked around the room and realized that it was unlike any place she had ever seen. The canopy bed looked as if it had been made by tree roots and the bed smelled fragrant. The room was covered with different flowers growing on vines along the walls. As she was observing her environment, someone walked into the room.

"Who are you? Where is this? What happened? What are we doing here? What is your motive" Lucile asked as she drew her sister very close to herself.

"I am one of the temple spirits that care for and protect the temple. This place has been long forgotten by all races since there was no one to take the place of the goddess." the spirit told her.

"Thank you for saving me and my little sister." Lucile told her while bowing in respect.

"You don't have to thank me." the spirit said then suddenly bowed to her and said

"I'm the one who should be thanking you for finally arriving after thousands of years, My Dear Goddess."
