Sans's POV

The little "Zzz" that comes mysteriously appears on top of my head as I slept...again. The oh-so familiar attacks comes and I dodged it...again.

"didya really think-"

The demon's smile is the last thing I see as I reached the end of the fight...again.

(SLASH)

It always hurts, and this time is no different...again.

It always hurts, no matter how many times I seen 'it'. So many people's deaths, yet I cannot do anything. I tried to save them, so many times, and yet the monster will only kill all of us faster. I tried to tell them, yet they'll never remember, except bits and tiny stuff, but not enough to help. I tried gathering all the strongest monsters to fight the demon, and we will all die. I tried telling Frisk over and over again, that it is pointless, yet the kid never listened. I tried. And gave up, simply sleeping the whole run. And tried again. And failed. No matter how many times I try, it seemed to never work.

"Papyrus, do you want anything?"

Come on kid. Reset again.

Only a few more seconds left...

*RESET*

Darkness...

...huh?

I should be in my bed but...what?

The familiar feeling didn't come. Instead I feel like I'm...floating? Lying across something? I really can't tell.

I opened my eyes ◇ don't ask why I said eyes lol ◇ and looked around.

For a spilt second, I saw nothing but

darkness, like a void and...two glowing buttons?

Floating right up ahead, the duo shined so bright it's like 2 suns compared to the dark.

"N-no way...Is that?"

In front me are two yellow ◇or gold◇ shining buttons : <CONTINUE> and <RESET>. I felt my soul thumping so loudly it can be heard.

'How is that possible...maybe the code corrupted? Like...Geno...'

My thoughts trailed away to the many possibilities as my emotions hitted me like a storm.

I felt guilt for not helping all the monsters when they got killed in front of me.

I felt hopeless for getting defeated by the demon child so many times.

I feel panic for not knowing what will happen next and will the AUs change as their, or my original universe changes.

I felt sadness for losing my only family member over and over again.

◇In my AU, Chara took over (or I prefer player) and rested a lot of times and Sans is kinda numb to emotions.◇

I thought for a while.

Perhaps <CONTINUE> would be nice...for a while. I don't think stuck in a black nothingness will be good for anyone or anything. But if I <RESET>...maybe I'll end up like before, and face the never-ending genocide run.

NO. I need to <RESET>. I need to see paps. I can't just stuck here forever! What if he's in pain? What if he's hurt!?

At this point my hands slammed down the <RESET> button and there's a blinding light that came straight out of the button. I closed my eyesockets and braced myself.

I expected something dramatic like some kind of falling into the universe or something but all I feel is a slight pain from falling right into some rocky floor. I also feel kind-of...different?

I hold my breath, and-

I opened my eyes and my lungs gasped for air as I sat straight up.

I looked down, and instantly regretted that decision.

I steadied my breathing, and looked around the second time.

That's when I realized I'm certainly NOT in a familiar place.

The night sky, midnight blue, hung across the air like a pice of gigantic fabric with holes in it. And the holes are BEAUTIFUL. Not the type that the metal tin uses but in an natural way. There are two black buildings, in the left and right, covering the other parts of the bright blue sky.
