1 New life, New World.

The life of Markus 'Mark' Cloud was unique to say the least. Markus was 16 years old, was born of French descent, and currently lived in the state of Florida. He had spiky red hair with a small ponytail in the back, light grey eyes, and pale skin. His height was above average for his age, and while he wasn't a jock, he had a good amount of muscle on him. He was also very handsome, and his foreign looks got him many amazed looks by girls and angry looks by men. He commonly wore a black and red striped hoodie with a zipper, a grey t-shirt underneath, black jeans, and black sneakers. Under his t-shirt is a silver necklace with a ruby gem that he got from his father before he was sent to an orphanage.

When he was born, Mark's mom died giving birth to him. Not being able to live without his wife, Mark's father gave him away to an orphanage before he overdosed, killing himself. All this happened while Mark was still a baby.

Mark lived in the orphanage for many years, and he was well respected and loved by his fellow orphans. He was told about what happened to his parents at age ten, but he didn't really care. When asked why, he would just tell them, "Life is too short to worry about everything, so I'll just do what I want and make my parents happy." Mark made sure he lived and breathed by this rule all the time. He would exercise often, he studied even though he never went to school, and he did odd jobs for money to support the orphanage. However, he still took time to have fun, some times buying video games and manga to read. He also occasionally read some novels or fanfics. He considered the people in the orphanage his family, and he would do anything for them. Even when the others there told him to use his money to get an education, Mark stubbornly refused, much to the chargin of everyone he knew. At age 13, he was given a necklace that was owned by his mother. It was beautiful, and the ruby gem on the bottom just enhanced it's looks. Mark constantly kept the necklace on him, and went into a destructive rage whenever it was missing.

As he got older, Mark's looks increased considerably, to the point that he started getting strange looks from the girl orphans, the nuns, and even a few guys! He didn't try to go out with anyone though, since he saw the people there as family, and it would be weird for him to date any of them.

On a certain day, Mark was taking one of the younger boys around town for a walk, something he commonly did. They looked both ways before crossing an empty street. When they got to the middle of the street, they looked to their left to see a truck barreling right towards them! As he saw the truck coming towards them, Mark quickly picked up the boy and tried to run with him to the sidewalk, but the truck was too fast for them both to make it. Instead, he threw the boy towards the sidewalk and closed his eyes in resignation of his fate. As he heard the truck coming closer, Mark let out a content smile. "At least I was able to save you," he thought. He then felt the truck hit him and he blacked out.

Mark slowly opened his eyes, to see an incredibly beautiful garden. It was jam packed with all sorts of flowers, trees, and there was a clean river running through it. There was also one gigantic tree with delicious looking fruits on it. Seeing all this made a confused Mark ask no one in particular, "Where am I?" "Markus Cloud, you are in what we call the garden of Eden," said a young voice to the right of Mark. Turning to the voice, Mark's eyes were greeted by a young boy. The boy had green hair that partly covered his right eye, baby smooth white skin, and yellow eyes. He wore a blue t-shirt and blue shorts. "Who are you?" Mark asked. The boy smiled at Mark and said, "I am Hanan, one of the guardians for this garden, and one of the gods of life. I brought you here to be reincarnated, since I thought your life should have been better than it was."

Mark was confused about what he meant by reincarnation, so he asked for the details. Essentially, he could pick any world or place he wanted and he would be reincarnated there with 5 wishes of his choosing. Mark took some time to think about it before he told Hanan, "I want to be reincarnated into Undertale. However, before I get anything for myself, I want all the orphans and workers that are in the orphanage to have the best lives possible." Hanan had already expected this so he just nodded and waited for him to continue. "Second, I want my [SOUL] to have the properties of every other [SOUL]. Third, I want to be able to use all magic. Fourth, I want to be a Magi like Aladdin and Judar. And my last wish is to be able to travel through all the timelines and universes related to Undertale." Hanan smiled and told Markus, "Alright then Markus, I'll be sending you to the Undertale world at the time Frisk comes down. Also, I've made some special modifications so your time there will be more enjoyable. Have fun!" Markus was going to ask him what modifications he made when he suddenly blacked out, with the last thing he saw being Hanan's cheeky grin.

Markus groaned as felt a small headache. He opened his eyes and saw cave walls leading up to a hole. He quickly got up and realized that he was on a bed of golden flowers, with a person next to him. The person looked to be around his age, and Markus couldn't tell their gender. They had yellow skin, which was strange to Markus, and brown hair with bangs. They wore a blue sweater with two purple stripes, blue shorts, and brown shoes. "This must be Frisk," Markus thought. Markus then grabbed onto their shoulder and started shaking them, trying to wake them up. After a few shakes, Frisk just said to Markus, "Could you stop shaking me?" Markus quickly stopped when he realized they were awake and asked them, "Are you alright?" In his head however, Markus thought, "Damn, even their voice is gender neutral!" Frisk got to their feet, dusted themselves off, and told him, "I'm fine, but who are you?" Markus pointed to himself and said dramatically, "Markus, Markus Cloud! You can call me Mark though! And who might you be?" Frisk just looked at them blankly and said, "Hello, my name is Frisk. Anyway, do you know where we are Markus?" Markus knew that they were outside the Ruins and where the beginning of the game took place, but decided to act like he didn't no. "I don't know," he replied. "Maybe we should look around." Frisk agreed, and they looked around the cave until Markus saw a large purple doorway.

He and Frisk went through it to see a little patch of grass illuminated by light from the holes in the ceiling. As they got closer to it, a flower suddenly came out of the ground. It had yellow petals and, to Frisk's suprise and to Mark's horror, a face. "Howdy! I'm Flowey! Flowey the flower! Who are you two?" Frisk stepped foward and said, "Hello, my name's Frisk. The person behind me is Markus." "Ok Frisk, you two are new to the underground aren't you? Would you like me to help you?" Markus wanted to refuse but just decided not to, since it wouldn't be fun. After they both nodded, hearts appeared on both Mark's and Frisk's chests. Frisk's heart was a bright red while Mark's was a blank white, similar to a monster soul but turned downside up. Flowey was suprised to see Markus had a white heart, but didn't show it on his face. "These are your souls, the very essence of your beings," Flowey explained. "Down here, we share happiness through tiny, white, 'friendliness' pellets. Make sure to catch them all!" Flowey made several little white pellets appear in the air and sent them towards the two humans. While Frisk just didn't trust the pellets, Markus actually knew what they did, so both humans avoided the pellets. This made Flowey gain a, 'are you stupid', expression and say, "Guys, you missed the pellets. Try again." He then sent more pellets to the humans, who kept avoiding them. This made Flowey a little irritated, and he said in an annoyed tone, "Remember, go towards the pellets." He threw some more pellets, which the teens dodged again. Flowey finally snapped at them and yelled, "Run. Into. The bullets!" He sent them towards them again, with Markus and Frisk being even more hasty to avoid them. Flowey's face stayed blank for a few seconds before becoming incredibly bloodthirsty. "You knew about this didn't you?" he asked with malice. "You just wanted to see me suffer. Well then, you two can go ahead and die!" Suddenly, a crap ton of bullets surrounded the two humans, scaring Frisk while Mark had a nervous expression. "C'mon, where's Toriel?" he thought. Just as the seeds were about to hit them, they dissappeared when Flowey was hit with a fireball and sent away screaming. "Are you all right my children?" asked a worried female voice near them. They quickly turned towards the voice and saw a woman. They had white wool around their body, sheep ears, and horns on their head. They also had fangs near their mouth, paws instead of hands and feet, and red eyes. They also wore a purple dress with a strange looking symbol where her large chest was, showing that she was indeed a girl. Her appearance made Mark excited, as this woman was one of his favorite Undertale characters. The goat woman told the children, "Nice to meet you, my name is Toriel."

After Mark and Frisk introduced themselves, Toriel had explained to them about the Ruins. It was a place full of dangerous puzzles and all sorts of monsters, but it was also the home of Toriel and many other kind monsters that just wanted to live their lives. As they heard this, Markus was saddened other the fact that the people here were all killed by players in genocide routes. He looked at Frisk with a determined gaze and thought, "I will not allow all those innocent people to die! But for now, I need to get strong enough to keep Frisk from trying a genocide route." Frisk, who noticed Markus looking at them weirdly, said to the boy, "Mark, are you alright? You've been staring at me for a while now." Markus just shook his head to get rid of his thoughts before saying, "I'm fine, don't worry about me. Anyway, Toriel, could you help us out and show us around the Ruins?" "Of course my child," the goat monster replied.

The three went into a large room. It was made of purple bricks and had a staircase leading to another doorway. Toriel went up the staircase and told the humans, "Come with me my children." She then walked through the doorway.

Frisk was about to walk in with her when Markus grabbed their shoulder and said, "Look at that!" Markus was pointing towards a small glowing star. "This must be the legendary SAVE star," Markus thought. Frisk and Markus walked over to the star and touched it. The star made them feel warm and energized, like they woke up after a nice sleep. They started to feel determined to get through the ruins. Frisk, amazed by the SAVE point, asked Markus "Are you feeling what I'm feeling right now?" Markus looked at them and said with a goofy smile, "You're feeling so horny?" Frisk looked at Markus with a face you could call disgust, but you couldn't really tell since their eyes were still closed. Markus shrugged and said, "It's a music reference. Anyway, let's get back to Toriel." The humans started walking up the staircase to go further into the ruins. Unknown to them though, there was another 'human' watching them from the shadows.
